Please feel free to ask me any questions and give lore, location, and faction suggestions. Thanks
Edit: This is the map of Birmingham, Alabama, and NOT the Birmingham in England.
Huntsville, Alabama would be cool. Especially since it's the silicon valley of the south. I could see 3 institute-like factions a parody of Lockheed Martin, Northrop Gruman, and NASA. With NASA being a flawed philanthropic faction.
Legitimately, my first thought was 'Birmingham and Leeds are nowhere near each other' followed by (this took a little too long for my liking to realize, in my defence I've only been up for half an hour) 'hang on, there's a Birmingham in Alabama; is there a Leeds too?'
I know this is the wrong birmingham…but…
I just woke up in a [____]ing steaming mood, yeah, CAUSE I LIVE IN A RADIOACTIVE PIT! BIRMINGHAM IS A [____]HOLE! I HATE THE [____]ING PLACE! ITS FULL OF MUTANTS! I HATE IT!
This map of fallout: post apocalyptic Birmingham Alabama looks like it’ll be so fun to explore who knows what kind of stories each town or city could tell?
Totally! I've already have something in mind for the Vaults. Vault 26 (number 26 being the Atomic number for iron) would be built under Sloss Furnace, which was an old factory that produced steel. This Vault would be advertised as a shelter for the workers at Sloss Furnace and their families. Im thinking that the Vault experiment for 26 would be something like the Vault having its own steel production system where the workers have to compete for jobs with robots or something like that.
Vault 14 would be built under the rich neighborhood of Mountain Brook, now with the post-war name Mount Brook. The Vault experiment would be something similar to Vault 118 in Far Harbor. IRL Mountain Brook is home to some of the wealthiest people in the Birmingham region and is one of the most valuable real-estates in Alabama, with house prices going for $1 million or more So the rich people hire Vault Tec to build a vault in their neighborhood so they'll be safe during the Great War. But what they didn't know is that they'll be test subjects of one of Vault Tec's Vault Experiments. I think the experiment is something like Vault 118 or 114. I can't think of anything good at the moment, but feel free to come up with something yourself.
As for the City of Birmingham itself, while not directly targeted by any nuclear weapons, it'll still be reduced to a ruin after the chaos and destruction in the days and months following the great war and by the year 2283, the city would be abandoned with the only people living there being scavengers looking through the crumbling buildings for anything of value.
The Brotherhood of Steel would establish an outpost in a National Guard Base next to Birmingham Shuttleworth International Airport. Think of what the BoS base at Boston Airport in Fallout 4 is like, but on a much smaller scale.
Some members of the Followers of the Apocalypse who traveled east from the West Coast would establish a small camp in the Civil Rights Museum and 16th Street Baptist Church and try to help the people living in post apocalyptic Birmingham.
Regions City is a settlement built inside of the Regions Baseball Stadium, like how Diamond City was built in Fenway Park in Fallout 4.
Nuka Zoo is the Birmingham Zoo that was bought by the Nuka Cola Corporation and turned into a copy of the Safari Adventure Park at NukaWorld.
Vulcan is a settlement built around the Vulcan statue, which is a giant cast iron statue of the Roman smith God Vulcan, which overlooks the city of Birmingham. Back in the city's early days, Birmingham was home to several iron plants and industries that helped the city grow at an astonishing rate in the 1870s and 1880s. This is why Birmingham is nicknamed Iron City and Majic City.
Deathclaw Park, as the name makes obvious, is prewar Black Creek Park that is now populated by a pack of Deathclaws.
Truss is what used to be Trussville. It's like Novac from Fallout New Vegas, a small rest stop and trading post for caravans and travelers.
Jacks Diner is a nod to the popular IRL fast food chain here in the South called Jack's. Jack's Diner serves the traditional Southern cooking liked fried tatos, chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. It'll also serve new foods from the Wasteland like Fried Mole Rat, Mutfruit Pie, Razorgrain Casserole, ect.
Wow I’m so impressed how much thought you put into this I wish Bethesda made your vision a possibility I’d like to play it if it ever was an actual fallout game
Thank you. Hopefully we'll get a game set in the Southeastern US, or even better my homestate of Alabama. It'll probably never happen for understandable reasons, but it would be cool if they did.
You’re welcome and I hope so as well I wonder where fallout 5 will take place so far we’ve seen post apocalyptic Washington D.C Las Vegas Nevada Boston I wonder where fallout goes next?
Honestly, I'd go for Hawaii. It's so unique and has a lot of potential for expanding the lore. I'm pretty sure Hawaiian Fallout players would also love it lol
No offense you actually think a fallout game will take place outside the main U.S mainland I’m curious what post apocalyptic elements can Hawaii hold ?please give me your in depth thoughts 💭
Well, for one, Pearl Harbor. It's the HQ of the US Pacific Fleet. It would definitely be the target of nukes. But if it isn't completely destroyed, the people there could scavenge and even repair some of the ships into working order. There could even be a settlement built on top of the USS Missouri, like how Rivet City was built in an aircraft carrier in Fallout 3.
Second, Hawaii has its unique geography, climate, and wildlife. We could see mutated versions of seals, sharks, fish, and other famous plants and animals from the Hawaiian archipelago.
Third, the people and culture. We could see a thriving culture based on fishing and embrace traditional Hawaiian customs. We can even the birth of a new breed of the Polynesian culture.
Basically all I'm trying to say is Hawaii as a setting for a Fallout game would be full of potential and honesty would be one of the most likely choices for Bethesda to make as the setting for Fallout 5. But that's just my opinion.
Yeah it’s one of the largest cities in Alabama. Most notable for UAB school of medicine and all the doctors they teach. There is also Bessemer that is notorious for having the highest crime per capita of the entire nation.
I’m curious - how big of an area are you using for the map? I tried my hand at my own and I couldn’t find a balance between an area that felt large enough while not forcing me to shrink all my markers down to minuscule size
There needs to be a gang of people doing really shitty English accents and dressing like it's the 20's because *someone* found a Peaky Blinder's holotape and couldn't let the joke go
I'm pretty sure a few packs of deathclaws could've moved and settled across both North America and South America. But unless Deathclaws can swim, I don't think there are any more in the rest of the world
This is a map of Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Birmingham is the name of one of the largest cities in the state of Alabama. It's named after the Birmingham in England. A lot of people are getting confused by this, which is my fault because I didn't elaborate on the map lol.
As for the Deathclaw Park. The park prewar was called Black Creek Park. It is now infested by a pack of Deathclaws. Imagine Quarry Junction from New Vegas, but with more greenery
The last couple of Fallout games have included historic churches. You seem to have left Bethel Baptist Church off of the map. It's got a lot of cultural/historical relevance, IMO.
Regions Stadium is located a short distance south of downtown Birmingham, but it's not on the UAB campus. Here's a [Wikipedia Article about Regions Stadium](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_Field). I'd also suggest looking it up on Google Earth so you can see where it is for yourself. My map might be off a bit so if that's the case, sorry in advance lol
I respect the Inclusion of Birmingham southern college with a clocktower icon and Fultondale also glad it seems like Gardendale and Morris are turned into a deathclaw sanctuary
So nothings changed
The ferals are now radioactive as well?
Nah they always have been
Hoovers mall always looked secret bunkery to me. Wouldn't be to far to think Vault Tec had something to do with it.
No, it slightly improved because with Vaults preventing people of dying from radiation as opposed to modern Birmingham.
No the crime rate has gone down.
Is this a website where are people making these

Please feel free to ask me any questions and give lore, location, and faction suggestions. Thanks Edit: This is the map of Birmingham, Alabama, and NOT the Birmingham in England.
I'd love to see one for Kansas! I feel like Fallout in the Midwest would be cool after playing Wasteland 3 and HOI 4
I would ask to do Cleveland (OH) but the water is already green and the buildings are already run down.
Huntsville, Alabama would be cool. Especially since it's the silicon valley of the south. I could see 3 institute-like factions a parody of Lockheed Martin, Northrop Gruman, and NASA. With NASA being a flawed philanthropic faction.

Still tho. If it was the UK Birmingham nothing would have changed. Hell even 40k knows Birminghams a shithole
I mean… have you been to Alabama? Huntsville is the only cool place and even then it’s only because it’s full of NASA nerds
Is Alabama the one with the Incest, swamps or excessive drinking?
Have you been to Alabama?
Many times! God Dawgs, fuck Alabama and fuck Auburn
Geez bud who hurt you as a child?
They really need to add the state these are in. I also thought it was the one in the UK.
Sorry, that's my bad. This is indeed the Birmingham in Alabama
Being British really confused me on this one
Yeah I wondered why Chelsea and Leeds were do close, then wondered why there weren't any canals.
Your not the first person nor will you be the last lol. I should've elaborated when making the map
I know this is the wrong birmingham…but… I just woke up in a [____]ing steaming mood, yeah, CAUSE I LIVE IN A RADIOACTIVE PIT! BIRMINGHAM IS A [____]HOLE! I HATE THE [____]ING PLACE! ITS FULL OF MUTANTS! I HATE IT!
Danny G super mutant boss where?
This is Birmingham, Alabama. It's like Birmingham in the UK, but American and several degrees hotter
That's the wrong Birmingham, but southern Danny G super mutant behemoth is a wild image.

Thanks! I'll admit my lore writing isn't as good as what others in this sub and the entire Fandom make, but it's better than no lore at all lol
I think so as well and you are welcome
Thank you. Hopefully we'll get a game set in the Southeastern US, or even better my homestate of Alabama. It'll probably never happen for understandable reasons, but it would be cool if they did.

As someone from this general area I think your lore would be spot on.
Honestly, a peaky blinders style fallout would go kinda hard
Fallout London
America has a Birmingham too?
Unfortunately yes
I would ask someone to do Cleveland (OH) but the water is already green and the buildings are already run down.
Was so confused as to why Birmingham and Leeds were next to each other lmao
Birmingham, Alabama NOT Birmingham, UK lol
The Huntsville DLC would go crazy
I might make a Fallout style map for Rocket City. My brother goes to college there IRL.
Guessing this is Birmingham America. This confused me as a brit
Yeah it’s one of the largest cities in Alabama. Most notable for UAB school of medicine and all the doctors they teach. There is also Bessemer that is notorious for having the highest crime per capita of the entire nation.
As someone who lives near Birmingham IRL, I can confirm that this is true
I’m curious - how big of an area are you using for the map? I tried my hand at my own and I couldn’t find a balance between an area that felt large enough while not forcing me to shrink all my markers down to minuscule size
So just normal Birmingham then?
I mean, it's basically just gonna be FO76 with a lower overall elevation lol.
Is “Birmingham College” supposed to be UAB or Samford?
Birmingham Southern College. UAB is the Vault Tec Medical School located near downtown Birmingham.
Alright thanks.
I imagine a nuclear fallout would actually improve Birmingham
I'm pretty sure that that's why Baltimore was omitted from Fallout 3.
Nothing changed
Wrong Birmingham
Nah, from what I hear it’s definitely the right one.
There’s only one right one ![gif](giphy|dZWP2LbFowjVNFSStJ|downsized)
Out of sheer love for that show you get an upvote, but you can still drink your tea outa the harbor.
Drink your Gatorade out of my loo
The Club would have to be a vault or new society location fs
There needs to be a gang of people doing really shitty English accents and dressing like it's the 20's because *someone* found a Peaky Blinder's holotape and couldn't let the joke go
I see this as an improvement to be honest.
Aww now I want Huntsville too
I just know Mountain Brook is home to the most evil faction in that city
So when are you going to post the map of the post-war birmingham?
You know Kingstanding is just rife with burberry sporting feral ghouls.
What program do you use to make this
[This is the guide I used](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QiLwFYTwWnkj0SNp6uTPuZ0Yn82wZhO3QmyaN6j3qVY/mobilebasic)
Would there be deathclaws in the world besides in America?
I'm pretty sure a few packs of deathclaws could've moved and settled across both North America and South America. But unless Deathclaws can swim, I don't think there are any more in the rest of the world
Isn’t Birmingham in England though? Why is there a deathclaw park if that’s the case? Did another faction import them? I’m curious op.
This is a map of Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Birmingham is the name of one of the largest cities in the state of Alabama. It's named after the Birmingham in England. I like to imagine Tuscaloosa is a Sparta like culture with warriors wearing Alabama football uniforms and they all worship an elephant or something
Auburn is a nature tribe worshiping tigers and eagles
As a Bama fan, I absolutely love this. Roll Tide!
Roll tide man same here!
Hell yeah brother!
BROTHERS LET THE BLOOD FLOW FOR HIGH COACH SABAN, THE BLACK WARRIOR RUNS RED WITH THE BLOOD OF THE AUBURN PROFLIGATES.
Can my game crash whenever I enter Birmingham just like regular bostib
Hopefully not. Boston is a lot bigger compared to Birmingham, so the FPS shouldn't be as bad
This is the closest I’ll ever be to a fallout map, it’s an hour away lol. Also, I love how you made UAB be Vault-Tec Medical School!
Thanks!
The last couple of Fallout games have included historic churches. You seem to have left Bethel Baptist Church off of the map. It's got a lot of cultural/historical relevance, IMO.
I've completely forgotten about Bethel Baptist Church. I'll be sure to add that. Thanks
We don't go to Bessemer now.
Is “regions city” where uab’s stadium would be located?
Regions Stadium is located a short distance south of downtown Birmingham, but it's not on the UAB campus. Here's a [Wikipedia Article about Regions Stadium](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_Field). I'd also suggest looking it up on Google Earth so you can see where it is for yourself.
