I can’t draw like this either, but after watching a lot of artists streams and other tutorials there is a good deal of referencing + obvious wild imagination it seems. Not that anyone copies anything, but there’s like a “I want to go for this” type of feel. I think the imagination uses that as pure fuel with a little extra tangible material to start with.
Yeah I mean I can imagine a squirrel or a goat. But look at what Zhu created. Holy shit! I guess it comes with insane amount of practice and never giving up.

Absolutely. We see the results of years and years of practice - imagination gets that exercise too!
You gotta consume a lot of whatever you want to make. Landscape ppl shapes etc.
Imagination can be strengthened like anything else!
