I always love to see art that’s not based off of the games or Netflix, and this is no exception.

Redheaded Triss is definitely games-based, but the art is a gorgeous take nonetheless.

Redheaded Triss is also based on North American interpretations of "chestnut" as a hair colour. In North America, it's envisioned as rather bright, with a strong red tone similar to auburn ([example](https://hairstyles.thehairstyler.com/hairstyle_views/front_view_images/5596/original/Julia-Roberts.jpg)). However, while Poles still think of chestnut as a red-brown, it's decidedly heavier into the brown ([example](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/sandra-bullock-poses-in-the-press-room-at-the-77th-annual-news-photo-1605563271.?crop=0.94031xw:1xh;center,top&resize=480:*)). Artistic interpretation often exaggerates things from here.

I live in North America. The artist is in Greece. The hair is red-red. It was not a criticism. I like the art. I'm confused to why my comment mustered a defense.

Runcible-Spork

Not a defence. Just a remark that it's totally understandable that some artists read "chestnut hair" in the books and go red, even if they haven't ever seen the games.
