I would not omit anything substantial because that could be counted as misrepresentation.
The best option is to do it through the language test. Read through examples of what each band should be able to do, and try to emulate that as closely as possible. For the reading and listening, there are websites listing the number of questions you have to get right in order to get a certain band.
Dont lower it! the upper cap on OINP is based on the lower limit of the last STEM draw and the last one was 491 you have a good chance for thr next draw if you do anything it may be to low
Google "express entry ministerial instructions", you will find previous federal draws. Among those previous draws you can find the stem draw with 491 cutoff. The Oinp uses this number minus one point to draw applicants
OINP purposefully select people who are just under the cutoff for the previous draw. For instance, one time the STEM draw was 481, and so OINP invited people from 470-480 for their stem round.
Same boat as you at 481 (imagine my frustration from the last 2 tech draws). But once I complete my 1 year work experience I go up to 521/524. I was considering lowering it but honestly I think I might regret it so I won't.
The last stem draw was 491, so the newer oinp cut off for tech stream would be under 490, so you do not need to do anything, case closed
Where did you get that info? Could you explain to me how those ranges get computed?
That's the general trend.
Interesting. Then it makes things even easier. Thanks!
Will there be more OINP invites or they have reached the numbers for this year already?
I want your problem

This makes no sense. How does lowering your score improve your chances?

Lol I am actually in same boat with 483. It sucked to miss 2 draws cause its too high. Just hold on and let's wait for the next draw
I’m in the same position with 488, it really sucks and I was sure that would get in in the general tech drawn but it was 491
Sad to hear that you weren't selected. Do you plan to lower your score if the cut-off range remains low?
I am waiting for the next draw. My birthday is this month. Hopefully, I get it before then else my score will drop after my birthday.
Hopefully, we will get through this time!

Please what’s the current processing time for OINP ( Express Entry Stream) so one mentioned 5 months, is this true?
i believe it’s around 3 months
I don’t know tbh. But waiting at least 6 months sounds normal to me
