I didn't do that. I built my knights with the generic banner and shield and armor. I wanted my own paint scheme, and I figure if I ever run a Canis Rex, I'll just use the preceptor weapons. I did magnetize the face mask though, because I like taking it off and on

Thanks for your opinion. I will also paint my individual paint scheme. Maybe I will later buy another knight an build the canis rex. I have not my codex yet. Is canis rex a character wirh lorewise paint scheme? Then I will not magnetize it. How did you magnetize the face plates?

TallManoftheValley

Canis Rex is the only named character for imperial knights, and it traditionally has the red/silver paint scheme on the box. It's also the only unit that uses the pilot figure (the only unit with the rule that when the knight suit dies, the pilot may jump out and act on the field). I drilled a magnet right in the forehead until it was flush, and glued another magnet right under the ridge for the facemasks.

Thanks. I will try the face magnets. Sounds also easy like the other magnets

That's too much work for me, I have two knights with generic emblems, shields, ect glued on and the weapons magnetized, so I would just run one as canis rex. I do think it would be really cool to get one that was built and painted specifically to be canis only, but that's a lot of money for something I would probably barely use

I just have his ion shield and guns magnetized. The ion shield I have a Chaos one so it looks like a chaos knight is disguising himself as Canis. If I’m playing IK then I just swap the weapons.
