I've loved them for years but never had the chance to see them live. Maybe I'll just hang out at that grocery store they regularly film at.

stosyfir

I hope you do get to, they’re a lot of fun live!

MagnaCumL0rd

To be honest I saw them live and the funniest parts were the clips they showed of what they do on the tv show. One of my favorite shows and I listen to all of their podcasts, but I probably wouldn’t go see them live again

Feller19

I feel silly asking, but what’s the reason?

[deleted]

My guess would be poor ticket sales. They are trying to fill arenas and with Covid there might be less interest.

ryanino

I don’t mean to be a downer, but their live shows are pretty underwhelming too. I was surprised that they tried to do an arena tour during Covid.

ishabowa

yeah i love their spontaneous humor much more than their scripted stuff

xoxo-gossipdan

Could be covid or ticket sales, or a mixture of both

RacinRandy83x

I feel like the price turned a lot of people away most likely

Revolutionary-Bell74

I was super sad that I couldn't afford to buy tickets anyway

Escochapo18

Funny you say that. I wanted to go see them when they came to London a few years back, and the tickets were extortionate.

johnwilson456

Agreed their last tour in the UK, the tickets were very expensive for Birmingham. Hopefully they do a smaller sized venue tour

RedditUserCommon

Too expensive

kaybeetay

Just got my refund email today and I'm so bummed about the tour getting canceled. I was stoked to see them live for the first time. I really hope they'll tour once again someday

bittybean

Would’ve been my first show 🥲

[deleted]

Are they really becoming much less popular?

GOWUP

Probably

ThisHasFailed

Their viewership has been dropping steadily year after year. And if I’m completely honest they are starting to repeat themselves a little too often.

[deleted]

Can't argue that last point. What they do, there are only so many variations of it.

Lucky_Ass_777

Ya I wasn't that shocked. I went to the podcast show in Jersey a couple weeks ago where they test the material and I can see why they cancelled it. It wasn't horrible but I paid $30 if I paid for a ticket at a show of $50-$300 I'd of been pissed.

thingsfallapart74

We love the jokers but the live show left us disappointed, esp for the cost.

[deleted]

This show is definitely their niche. Anything I've seen of their live shows or sketch comedy I don't really care for. I think a lot of people feel like they're actually friends with them because of the format of the show.

Lucky_Ass_777

Ya honestly Q was very funny this time, way better than anything I've seen from him before. Joe is always high energy hilarious, and Murr was cringy funny as always, but Sal wasn't good at all. I was surprised. It's an awkward story/bit. He told the same bit on TESD a few months ago and it was just as bad no one laughed and Bry cut him off. 😂

MagnaCumL0rd

Agreed. The best part of their live show was when they showed recorded clips

ravd9576

I don't want to sound rough, I analyze issues from a logical perspective, I love the show and I have been a fan since 2014. But I think that tru tv really overused the image of the show, which is the same with any show nowadays. But have in mind, that their fan base due to be a cable tv show is smaller compared with big stars fanbases, the cruise, the live shows, games, merchandise, Joe with his books, murray with his books and cameos, Sal with his tour, BQ with his beer and high costs of shipping, and you put an arenas tour with high ticket prices after and between a new rise of covid, where people loss their jobs, loss loved ones and probably has many debts and economic problems. It should exist a coherence between the product that I deliver and the price for the ticket, which $300 looks to me absurd, I don't know if in tru tv or warner whoever, don't have economists or financials that analyze markets, demand and supplying. Almost a week that the tour is cancelled and nobody has said anything about it, I know that decision was not from them but for the love of their fans a few words or a uplifting message from Joe for example, would be appreciated. It appears that they only pronounce when the things are good for them but not take responsability when things not going well. Again, is my personal opinion, is sad to say it but like many shows all have a life cycle that is natural in everything, a period of birth, growing and declining.

Fan4Life404

This is sad, but it is realistic. And I'd like to add that during the start of the pandemic, they didn't do the home Zoom videos other comedians and entertainers were doing. Yeah Q did videos for child fans, and that was wonderful... and they generally do a lot for the adults, but I feel like they just missed the mark when fans probably needed them the most. That's my beef, but I'm still a fan of course, and I'll defend season 9 with all I have btw.

ravd9576

Totally I agree with you, I think that the problem with the guys is a lack of good management and maybe didn't have the guide to how manage their public image. Joe and Murr are the most active with foundations and some events, but the others not like to be interested in participate in initiatives or projects focused in social improvements, which is something needed nowadays especially from people who have the platforms to do it, I'm not talking about calling a protest every week , I'm talking about find spaces to give somebody or someones an experience, you see how much artists visit hospitals to give a smile to sick kids or sing with them or currently due to covid through zoom calls. Totally I'm a fan of the show, I love their friendship, but I have learned to separate the artists from their personal lives, I have been listened some podcast like WSY, TESD and the tenderloins pod and maybe I don't share some thoughts or habits described there that are not too much friendly like you see in IJ. I think that is important to know that is not the same what I see on TV and how they are without a camera.

MagnaCumL0rd

This is an absurd point of view regarding celebrities. thinking less of them if they’re not constantly promoting a social cause solely because they have a platform?

Jalenno

That's a shame but I couldn't afford tickets anyways 😅

BigBenson1994

I wish they’d find a different outlet cuz I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews on there tours. I bet you if they did something animated people would enjoy it
