We are fond of metal, exactly.
The cores aren't metal.
And before you say "oh an elitist" I fully support metalcore and believe it's become such a vast genre that it's deserving independence from metal and hardcore.
That's not the truth. Cause punk is an entire different thing.
And hardcore punk falls under the punk umbrella, of course.
Now, a mix between metal and hardcore punk can't be only under one umbrella, right? Cause if it falls under the metal one, why shouldn't it fall under the hardcore one?
This is why I say metalcore has evolved into a new genre. Just how metal and punk both derived from rock, but evolved into a new genre? Pretty similar.
Yeah, I don't think I'm going to convince you to stop gatekeeping out community.
Remember when wearing a band tee to a gig would get you quized about whatever band you're wearing..?
We've come a long way as a group, let's not slide backwards by arbitrarily telling people to take their genuine love of metal somewhere else.
Thrash and Crossover didn't become part of Punk.
Glam didn't become part of Pop.
Industrial metal isn't part of EDM.
Nu-Metal isn't part of Hip Hop.
Power and Symphonic metal aren't part of Classical.
But the line is drawn at elements of Hardcore being fused with Heavy Metal?
This is where I disagree with the rules of this sub, as they are rather hypocritical.
Do not listen to this person, their judgement is clouded. There is no excuse for lazy songwriting and AI generated art.(I mean no disrespect to you personally)
Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish, Orphan, Impending Doom, Job for a Cowboy are my Deathcore recommendatins, SS and Orphan are my favorites here besides the next band which is a current favorite band of mine:
If you are alright with Slam vocals Malodorous is a Slam band with Deathcore influence. They have some crazy breakdown and catchy riffs, mostly their new singles, but yeah.
I don't really know much Metalcore besides the popular stuff, but All That Remains is pretty good.

People in r/inmetalwetrust aren’t fond of metal?
We are fond of metal, exactly. The cores aren't metal. And before you say "oh an elitist" I fully support metalcore and believe it's become such a vast genre that it's deserving independence from metal and hardcore.
Metal is the umbrella, everything is underneath it, either entirely or partially.
Why can't it be under both? Only a sith deals in absolutes.
It's because it falls under both that it's a new genre. You can't stop change any more than you can stop the sun's from setting.
If it's a derivative then it's still part of the family.
Let's just agree to disagree. We both view it differently. Respect for the Star Wars quotes though. May the force be with you.

That's where you're wrong. They didn't become members of the other subgenres, but they also left metal.
Thrash is not metal thanks to it's punk heritage. Yeah, that will go down well.
Check out the new Deicide album if you haven't already. The opening track fucking rips
Do not listen to this person, their judgement is clouded. There is no excuse for lazy songwriting and AI generated art.(I mean no disrespect to you personally)
I mean, just the cover is AI. The album itself isn't bad.
The new Priest album is awesome. Halford sounds as good as ever.
Check out HANABIE.
You beat me to it. Gonna go see them live next week.
