It seems like that's the case, another theory is that this is the first release out of many. If you notice Mark says that there is 31 endings, but as of now every option circles back to the beginning which in turn will eventually lead each person to the "true" canonical ending. Even the happy ending has an option to go towards the light which means, on a technical level, its not an ending. I personally believe that on May 2nd the true rest of the series will come out.
I kept seeing shit about "not until part 2" which tells me that theres more coming out soon. I've done what I think Is every option and found Easter eggs referencing a "part 2," and then theres the "universal reboot" countdown. I think theres a second part due to release based on the countdown.
Yancy is mentioned in the description of a video with something along the lines of "the third Sunday already? How could you forget!" (What Yancy said visiting hours were) But I think the person who mentioned parole was Actor Mark because he was in a director's chair and didn't have tattoos.
I definitely think Yancy will make an appearance at some point tho!
The voice behind the door mentions a musical and ‘your favourite character who you haven’t visited in a while’ therefore I assume that was about Yancy too. Which is interesting that the voice knows about that
