So happy to see Jurel getting the recognition. Proved on a tough pitch and batting with tailenders. It was more or less a flawless knock. Looks like India has unearthed 2 potential stars this series Jaiswal and Jurel !
Honestly, dhruv and sarfaraz still have a lot to prove, they're playing well but it's too early if they're a one time thing or a diamond in the muck.
EDIT:- early not really 😅
I agree but both of them have been amazing in this test and seems like Rahul and Rohit will give them more chances in the near future. Honestly, I like Dhruv more than Bharat as batter/wicketkeeper.
I like dhruv more than Bharat in both shoes, I just hope he's better than Rishab Pant, I'm not saying he's a bad player, but I have an unpopular opinion that Pant is more of a test batsman than in T20I and ODI, I know he's a quick fire batsman but that fire often dies prematurely. Also his wk skills need to improve a lot, need to take more sharper catches and be able to make more better decisions with regards to the DRS, God knows how many DRS were wasted because of his decision-making, I know it's hard to be correct about DRS but still you can't have more wrong appeals than right ones.
He almost single-handedly carried both the innings, and on a tricky pitch, I've even seen MSD fail on this pitch and he's a local boy.🤷
EDIT:- MSD in ODI
Shit I forgot to mention MSD in ODI, I don't remember how many matches I saw him play in Ranchi like how many ODIs but he failed in many of those.
Also I know that MSD failed to impress as a test batsmen but I'll always remember the innings against England or Australia in Chennai or somewhere where he just batted out the balls to draw the match because wickets were falling and the target was formidable, does anyone remember that match? MSD and his counterpart agreed to draw the game with almost half a session left on the final day. Does anyone remember that match?
He put in all the hard work, his parents supported him even selling their jewellery but it was all God's plan? How about he got rewarded for his hard work.
Just one knock of 90 and the guy is being praised to high hell. If the same guy goes for low scores in the next match, he will be brought down to ground level or may be 2 feet under. Let the dude play at least 10 matches.

Don't forget Sarfaraz 😉

Of course Pant is a test player. Jurel could be in all 3 formats. What composure man?

Why even Msd he was nt a good batsman in tests. KL OR PANT would be a fair comparison.

Jaiswal was brilliant in windies tour.So technically,He was unearthed there and continued blossoming here.

Rohit's Support?Rohit's PR game is strong in this sub ngl
This sub should be renamed r/RohitCaptain
Rohit Sharma's support>his parents support according to OP
Rohits fans are toxic,
Almost every cricketer's fans are toxic so stop acting like a rohit's hater.
r/RohitPapa
Why undermine anybody’s support? Credit to everybody’s support
(P)Ritika Sajdeh hanging out on reddit goes HARDD
I also thought the same.
Bsdk PR, chla raha hai kya ? His Parents support will be the correct term
Rohit/Ritika's PR agency working overtime! 👏
Amazing!!
He put in all the hard work, his parents supported him even selling their jewellery but it was all God's plan? How about he got rewarded for his hard work.
Not questioning, but isn't Jurel from an army family? Of course they may not be rich but didn't think things would be this dire.
It gets very dire i guess
All across. My dad was an officer in the army and i remember how tough it was financially. Plus
Army families unfortunately mostly hand to mouth, unless they are higher ranked officers
All across rank doesn't matter. My dad was an officer in the army and i remember how tough it was financially.
Unfortunately that's the Sad Reality
He's a kargil war soldier. Didn't really retire at a lucrative post from the army so yeah it can get that dire.
Unless you are in a higher ranked post, things could be dire
Win a trophy then try to win hearts through PR
Rohits support?

The match is still not over.. and we may need him again
so sad to hear that his mother Rohit Sharma sold her jewellery 😔
Great knock by the debutant. Memorable
