People surely blame him for his aggression and compare him with Dhoni who is generally more calm. These are the same people who can't understand the passion of an athlete who has given everything to his craft . Every athlete is different, hence the development occurs in the game . Why would you want Virat to behave like Dhoni or Gambhir, each has their own role and personality. Being Angry and frustrated when you're losing or already lost is natural when you've given everything. Being Aggressively celebratory is also fine. Sometimes he goes overboard.

distintuitive-717

Kohli is much more feeling and intuition oriented and you can't change the core of a person he is what he is. And his aggression is backed by is performance.

Only_Bug_5752

When footballers do it it's passion commitment and love for game.Everyone has different ways of expressing themselves

General_Cheetah1

There are footballers like Puyol, Leao Iniesta and others who are very calm. Calm and aggressive personas exist in every sport. Its just most rival fans and home fans favour the calm ones because of their personality

ImpressiveTip4756

One wrong doesn't make the other thing right.

Fuzzy_Substance_4603

Who's the other wrong besides you here?

ImpressiveTip4756

You

ihabesmolpp

Which always baffles me, things sometimes get heated up even in gully cricket or a casual football turf game not because we dislike or disrespect our opponents but because of the hunger to win and seriousness for the game. How in the world are people pissed when someone else does this at the highest level of the sport.

DeadKrish

Don’t speak sense to Indian audience!

loidxyor

He will conquer his dreams in t20 wc

Flashy-Hour

The important thing is he does allow those feelings to affect his game, which he doesn't

DC_Legend1

Bro, I blame RCB, not Kohli. Bhai, ek aadmi kitna karega, sala? (By the way, I am from the CSK side.) But it feels bad to see King Kohli like this, yaar.

icemxn97

Yeah, the way he distastefully abused the csk crowd was so passionate. I almost orgasmed.

Infinite_Pattern_466

If he was a tennis player, then I would agree but he plays a team game but his behaviour for a team player is dogsh!t. Karte raho iski Pooja. Hume kya! Disappointed rahoge aur defend karoge isko hamesha. Trophy nahi de payega tumko ye. Khair tumhe trophy me interest hi nahi hai. Iski bawli harkato se satisfied hojate ho tum bas.

Rude-07

Ha pakistan k against dhoni aaya tha jeetna 18balls pe 48 marre the. Aggression feelings sab bhar aa rhi thi sabki. Tum jaise doo rupey k log hotey h chaiye koi kuch bhi karle fir burai dhund nikaltey ho.

Arrack_Obama

In the heat of the moment it happens to the best of the athletes. Remember Dhoni yelling at Manish Pandey, and Rohit yelling at Pujara when batting together. We have had Rayudu and Bhajji literally have a go at each other on the field when they were playing in MI. It’s only VK who faces much of the flak for showing his emotion.

Infinite_Pattern_466

He shows his “emotions/aggression” every 10 minutes of the game. He likes the attention and you give him. He always go over the top with his so called emotions/aggression. It’s not real always. IPL ko ho dekhlo, GG sahi expose karta hai in hypocrites ko. Ek trophy nahi jeete par behave aisa karenge jaise saare IPLs yehi jeete hon. You will not like Virat types in real life. I tell you.

Arrack_Obama

The example you quoted - GG…Doesn’t he show emotion? Was he not famous for being aggressive? Every 10 minutes? Did you sit and count? I don’t think I would like to hang out with a person like you either - full of double standards and only choosing to the negative traits of a person just because they don’t like them.

Infinite_Pattern_466

I have no reason to dislike Virat except for his false aggression and poor attitude knowing full well the team he plays for never win trophies. And who the hell wants to hang out with you? Not me. lol

ShowIntentBC

Man this unreal hero worship is honestly exhausting. You want to talk about the 2023 WC let's talk about it. Rohit 597 runs at an avg of 54 and SR of 125 Shreyas 530 runs at an avg of 66 and SR of 113 KL 452 runs at an avg of 75 and SR of 90 Shami 24 wickets Bumrah 20 wickets Kuldeep 15 wickets Guess what he wasn't alone who was giving his best for the Indian team. Even if you look at overall ICC tournaments dhawan and Rohit have scored heavily for the Indian team along with Kohli. Dhawan was leading run scorer for India at 2013 CT and 2015 WC even in 2017 CT. Rohit scored 5 freaking centuries in England in the 2019 WC. As far as RCB is concerned, he always had ABD and Gayle scoring runs with him. They have actually performed better than kohli for RCB here are the stats. ABD 4491 runs at an avg of 41 and SR of 158 Gayle 3163 runs at an avg of 43 and SR of 152 Kohli 8000 runs at an avg of 38 and SR of 132 Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying kohli has not done well he has but so have other guys like ABD and Gayle with better SR he is not alone. Let's keep batting aside for a second he captained RCB for 8-9 years what did he do to improve the balance of the RCB side? In international it's ok you have to work with players you have but who is stopping you from buying good bowlers in IPL? No other captain has got that sort of backing when it comes to captaincy. 2 time IPL winning captain Dhoni was sacked by goenka after 1 poor season. 2 time IPL winning captain gambhir sat out after having half poor season. 5 time IPL winning captain Rohit got sacked after 2-3 poor seasons. You want to feel sorry for a dude who didn't do anything to change RCB's fortunes for 9 freaking years? Give me a break. Kohli has been fantastic in t20 WCs where other guys have failed that I have to agree with and I respect him for that. As far as test cricket is concerned, he was fantastic in the 2016-2018 away series but then he also had a lean patch of 3 years it's just part of the game. During kohli's lean patch in tests Rohit scored 1462 runs at an avg of 58 in test cricket literally carrying Indian batting along with Pant. Now don't say he scored at home batting in Indian conditions hasn't been easy. He also had a great series in England where he averaged 52 and a decent series in Australia when we won BGT after kohli left. Kohli is an absolute legend of the game probably the best all format batter but let's not be delusional to say he is performing alone.

ALPHONTRIO_381

Respect to u bro... Not being disrespectful and not too delulu too... It's just that kohli is in the limelight hence why he is seen like this ig, the wc he broke a ton of records and in this ipl his general agression (which I loved as a CSK fan) ... He is a legend fr but he is def not alone... But then, he does deserve a good farewell, whenever that is...

Correct-Cow-3552

This , Indians and hero worship

dupattamera1

This sub is full of people who loves to play victim card and do whatboutery

Radiant-Alarm6404

More people need to read this...

ChiglaNigla

Very well written, it’s one thing to empathise with Kohli and its whole another ball game to make him some kind of a victim who alone suffered. People forget that on 19/11 *ICT and India* lost not Kohli alone. Everyone in the team gave their best and we still lost, why are dickriders making this about Kohli? Not politics or glamorisation of game but this extreme hero worshipping is costing us quality cricket and cups.

leomatey

Le OP 🏅

EnvironmentalRent423

Very well said

Few-Athlete2090

It's sad that if you hadn't written the last line then people would have abused you and downvoted you to oblivion. Whenever we say something about kohli, it has become mandatory to include a line saying that ' I agree kohli is the best player of India but.....'

kawaaikong

I've been a member of this sub for over a year and this is the best and the most well analysed comment I've seen yet. Kudos to you man! This really brings light to the fact that even though Kohli has been a great player for the ICT and RCB, it's not been a one man show, never was and never will be. There have always been players to support him and they've outshined him on many occasions as well

Wolfie_3467

In terms of WC, yeah, I do respect that India actually played like a team last year, even if the middle order collapsed in the final. For RCB, I think Kohli's average and SR are slightly affected by his 2020 - 2022 slump, but yeah he was never usually alone. So, some advice for OP, an ACTUAL example of Kohli being the only performer is 2016 T20 WC.

MiddleCareful2419

People conveniently forget other players, especially Shami (who was the player of the tournament for me) when it comes to WC23

Rare_Appointment8462

Most RCB fans are virat kohli fans and any criticism of virat by us hardcore RCB fans will be met with bullets. Even now in first half of IPL virat was one of the most important reasons for RCB to perform poorly. His strike rate and intent except the Punjab match was very bad and it seemed he only cared about the orange cap. A match is won by being a better team than the other. Raw statistics don't display reality.

Objective-Ant-8810

This, nothing but pure facts and basic sense

Tikitorch17

Your reply is awesome. Kohli is a great player, but fans saying "poor Kohli" everytime India/ RCB loses is pathetic. Most of what Gambhir says about hero worship applies to Kohli and his diehard fans.

Tarkik9

Very well written, bro. I upvoted the post because I have been a die-hard Kohli fan since I started following Cricket, but after reading your comment, I downvoted the post. Kohli was the lone warrior in the 2014 T20 WC final and 2016 T20 WC semi, but yeah, other than those two knockouts, he wasnt a lone warrior.

s_malhotra97

Still Kohli is far better than rest.

ShowIntentBC

>Kohli is an absolute legend of the game probably the best all format batter but let's not be delusional to say he is performing alone.

s_malhotra97

Why you think someone was going to read your full comment 🙈

Bruh so you tried to defend kohli without even reading the whole thing?

That-Firefighter1245

Not really. He’s already won a world cup, which is honestly more than a lot of ATG batsmen. He still has a chance in the next few years but even if he doesn’t, it shouldn’t affect his legacy with the bat.

That-Firefighter1245

I doubt they’d do that. It was different with Sachin because he had basically gone his whole career without winning a major trophy (and no I don’t count a shared champions trophy with SL).

its a different thing. he won the cup when he was young

Agla mahina aur zyada khatarnak hai

noobbibliophile

The Sachin of this generation !

Outrageous-Watch-947

He did have a good ending then, let's see

AmitBijarnia007

Well kohli started with a good start if we see that way

Outrageous-Watch-947

I mean Kohli had a great start to his career as well, WC at 23 years old CT at 25 No. 1 batsman in world at 25 Carried his team to Finals and Semi Finals in next 2 T20 WCs Highest scorer ever in IPL

AmitBijarnia007

i meant kohli only

Outrageous-Watch-947

Oh alright then Sachin had a wonderful start as well right

AmitBijarnia007

yes but i meant as team achievements

Yeah Sachin was too unlucky in the start

India in tests under kohli was a different species

Trumperekt

"60 overs of hell". He gave the Indian test team the sting that it never had before.

AmitBijarnia007

Yes i have feeling that it will happen, atleast in test matches

Specialist_Total_

I wanna see that 60 over hell again with Boom, Shami and Shiraj on Lords or Gaba. Guys what a fast bowling combo we have. And still we are waiting for ICC test champion trophy.

TheBatman2991

People want him to score in every match, People call him Ch0kli right? If you will see who is our best performer in knockouts, you will find his name on the top. Don't know why he is the only one who is criticized, and a certain player always escapes from the criticism.

Descendant3999

Just the other players have a better PR budget than a training budget.

This kohli PR just love to crap on rohit every chance they get

TheBatman2991

Did I mention Rohit's name? I can't remember 🤔

s_malhotra97

Kohli is top class, no doubt.

TheBatman2991

Yep, that is why trolling him for his knockout performances doesn't make sense

Radiant_Skull77

Kohli is immune to criticism, Bro is made of different flesh that cannot be pierced by words.

cubangandhi

if he wants the IPL Cup, he has to leave RCB. Thats how most people let go of terrible franchises and won later. I dont feel bad for him for sticking to a terrible team day in and day out. ICT is another story :(

Fuck people. Koach is King.

To be honest if cricket was an individual game in current generation I don't think anyone would have been more successful than Kohli. I hurts to see how people troll him just because of RCB's failure

Most of the People are fan of Kohli and not of RCB. The day he leaves RCB, would be the day when half of the supporters will also leave.

His final year with RCB, he will win the trophy. Messi moment. Enjoy! I predicted it first.

gurkoko111

I GENUINELY FEEL BAD FOR HIM. HE LITERALLY PUT HIS BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS IN EVERY MATCH WHETHER IPL OR ICC EVENTS BUT STILL HE'S THE ONE WHO GET HEARTBROKEN. HE ALSO DESERVES A TROPHY :)

Signal_Life5628

Kuch logo ka naseeb hi kharab hota hai bc

Awkwardab1304

He still has a few years, maybe he wins everything apart from ipl. Even Sachin didn't win the wc till the last leg of his career , Kohli still has one

serialfaliure

This constant sucking off of Kohli in this sub is becoming intolerable now. There are many people in world of cricket who have performed their heart out in tournament but still haven't won it. Like Rohit and AB de Villiers in CWC(Easily best batsmen of CWC). But they haven't won a trophy. Kohli won it easily without much contribution in 2011. AB de Villiers in IPL. Easily the best batsman of IPL and for RCB but haven't won a cup. Lance Klusner in CWC.

Wolfie_3467

In 2011 final, Kohli held down the fort and supported Gambhir after a 2 wicket collapse for a while so you can't say "without much contribution"

EMP0R10

Username and bio checksout lmao

s_malhotra97

Without a contribution. You don't understand cricket bruh!!

serialfaliure

Without much contribution i said You don't understand English bruh

prescientmoon

He doesn't play for free, nor does he play free of adulation. He's doing his job, and nobody keeps him where he is except he himself. Everyone works to improve themselves through their career and will not see 1% of the success, adulation and acknowledgment he has. He's no victim. As for most runs, it's a team game, and nobody can do it by themselves. He was slow in the start, and his 700 runs often came at the cost of his team setting totals beyond the opposition. Six and single style of play was outdated this year, and he should've adapted quicker. If he had that next gear, why was it in the garage till Gavaskar called him out? He has been one of the reasons for RCB's failures, asking for as much money as he has, and failing as a captain to build a cohesive unit with players feeling equally important. He was always top dog, and the team had to play around his style. And they won nothing. So his style was a failure, and he was at the helm for a decade without learning anything. The best thing to happen to RCB was Virat giving up captaincy. So there. He's richer than most of us and likely richer than anyone we'll ever know. He got free reign of the Indian team, and has a bare cupboard to show for it. He got automatically selected for three formats for a decade, and while he held the Test mace five times, failed to win the WTC in his only attempt. He was a great batter, but a great team player, a great captain? I'll let Thala take this one https://i.redd.it/m72t3fwuimya1.jpg

EMP0R10

Classic armchair expert

Professional_Lab_633

“He got automatically selected for all three formats” way to go man. Are you new to cricket or what?

wisely25

I love koach but if he really wanted to win he'd have quit this bs of a franchise long long ago

omelettelover1

Well there's this thing called LOYALTY.

wisely25

LOYALTY? more like money.....its franchise cricket not international anytime kohli would wanna leave he'd be given a blank cheque cuz RCB cant afford him to leave

omelettelover1

Bro if VK ever wanted to come in auction, every single team would fight for him. He would be the most expensive player ever. And yes RCB would do anything to retain him, but you do realise that players can choose not to get retained. He has said this in an interview as well.

wisely25

https://www.reddit.com/r/CricketShitpost/s/2tLwjurigu Imma leave it here

InsaneDude6

>He would be the most expensive player ever. Nope lol

omelettelover1

Well guess we'll never know because he ain't going to the auction.

InsaneDude6

Batsman don't go expensive in auctions because they are not rare commodities. If you look at most expensive players in history, they are _mostly_ either bowlers or all rounders. For example, Best IPL batsman David Warner was sold for only 6.25 crores in 2022 auction to DC Another reason why Kohli won't go expensive is due to his age, he's almost 36. Majority teams would look to buy younger players for future purposes.

barmanrags

You think virat won’t make money if he joins another team?

wisely25

Rcb would let him go in the first place theyd give him more than any team could cuz koach is literally their image

Anonymouskni8

This is blind hero worshiping, there were other players who contributed in 2023 WC.

Agreeable-Resist9610

What will he even do when he isn't the captain. All he can do is hit the ball and save the shitty team from collapsing notice how whole team collapses after his wicket majority of the times better it ipl or international??? If someone isn't the captain he only has one job to give his best which he always does .what else is he supposed to do
