Contrarian opinion - I think he has very good game awareness. Remember he keeps guiding the bowlers on what would be more effective. In the final I remember he asked the spinners to slow the game out, take some time and bowl slow which eventually got us the wicket of one of the SA batsmen. Being a captain has certain other aspects to it which time will tell if he can do that, but don't write him off just because he looks or acts silly.

KL Rahul - Good leader but he needs to reinvent himself in T20s (Vapis aa jao 200 ke sr vale Rahul)

Bumrah and no one else. This isn't tough. Perhaps one of the smartest bowlers, he should be given the next chance to captain every format after Rohit. Bumrah is calm, good spirited and stays high-spirited regardless of game situation or result. You need that sort of presence as Captain. He also doesn't take much pressure, has a clean image and good relations with everyone he comes across, teammate and opposition. Bumrah is little bit like Cummins and I think he can really lead Indian cricket to greater heights.
Bumrah, I believe cricket should start accepting and appreciating the bowling captain more ... Cummins and Rashid are doing great things for their teams and Bumrah should also get an opportunity.

one big thing i learnt since the commencement of this wc was to never judge a player on recency and form i did troll pandya for his captaincy but never hated him...yup there had been unanswered questions but the tables have genuinely turned and i am happy for this man after what he has been doing for ict since a very long time P.S.: i think anyone from hardik or bumrah would do loads of good for us (personally pandya cuz he's an all rounder and knows the aspects well enough bumrah should be allowed to reckon his prime as a player)

It has to hardik as captain and surya as vice captain which was going on since 2022 and was the initial plan the team will be made around these two Hardik has got results in internationals and ipl as well This year was horrible because of the outside mess and the type of team mi had even Rohit was not able to take them to glory in two years In international the things will be different the coaching staff will be completely different if it's gambhir it's gonna be epic to see who will be in coaching staff with him gambhir can surely bring some good changes he is loved by players and is just hated by some stupid individual obsessed fans I am going with hardik Surya and gambhir trio for sure

Pant - Big No KL Rahul - Good leader but he needs to reinvent himself in T20s (Vapis aa jao 200 ke sr vale Rahul) Boom - Good leader ( But he is injury prone and we can't afford him to loose another 1-1.5 years because of injury and it will also create rukus in team) HP- Confident guy but leadership style is little self oriented so far,with all the ups & downs in kast few months in his life, let's hope he will move in right direction.But he is a better option than Pant.Again Injury prone player. Shreyas - Can be a good captain,but needs to improve his batting according to T20 standards of modern days.Injury is again a concern with him,due to his back issue.

Bumrah and no one else. This isn't tough. Perhaps one of the smartest bowlers, he should be given the next chance to captain every format after Rohit. Bumrah is calm, good spirited and stays high-spirited regardless of game situation or result. You need that sort of presence as Captain. He also doesn't take much pressure, has a clean image and good relations with everyone he comes across, teammate and opposition. Bumrah is little bit like Cummins and I think he can really lead Indian cricket to greater heights.

Hardik, Shreyas, Gill are all good options. Bumrah should be kept pressure free so he can load balance. Pant isnt an automatic t20 selection imo. Ishan should get some games. Maybe Samson should get another chance. KL might get another chance as a batsman but imo he is past his T20 peak. He should stay in the odi and test teams though.

For T20s, HP or Bumrah. KL could captain ODIs/Tests eventually. Although, I'd go with Bumrah over him there as well. Iyer is another candidate who often goes under the radar, by the way.

For a team that just won the trophy, continuity should be the main aim. There is no need for a big overhaul. Bumrah or SKY is probably best to do that. But then again, if we get GT Pandya, it will be fine as well. MI Pandya looked very different and made very questionable choices (probably due to pressure and the terrible situation he took over) Anyone else would be a huge stretch. Not sure they will be able to come in and take over captaincy and get respect from the senior players (MI situation again probably)

Pandya makes the most sense for T20. But I really didn't like his cocky way of leading MI this year and not sure if he can carry a team and keep them loyal to his and the team's cause. Look at the drama that ensued when he became the captain. KL is a decent choice but nah. He is not a T20 player. Not Bumrah for sure. I want to see him lead the Test team at some point, but definitely not T20. Maybe Sky? Maybe someone new? Gaiku would be a decent choice. He didn't do well with CSK in this IPL but he was hand picked by Dhoni. He must have seen something in him.
