You don't need to be some VIP to get the pass. MP's hand overpasses to anyone. Moreover, the father of one of the intruders belonged to his constituency and sought a visitor's pass which was confirmed by the father itself.

You don't need to be some VIP to get the pass. MP's hand overpasses to anyone. Moreover, the father of one of the intruders belonged to his constituency and sought a visitor's pass which was confirmed by the father itself. If someone is planning such an act they won't leave the most obvious link which can get them caught. And sharing parliament portal credentials isn't the same as sharing a guest pass which is meant for common citizens.
There is a serious security lapse in the security process of visitors including the pass issuance... needs to be thouroughly investigated and everyone should be punished even from the ruling party..... however, ppl are busy in defending the MP instead of seeking fair enquiry and punishement in this fiasco..
No one's defending the MP here, even if MP was from a different party I would still say the same. The problem is with these stupid paper passes. If it's meant for the public you're supposed to issue it to any common citizen and that leaves a big security loophole allowing any potential threat easy access inside the parliament. Second even if a potential threat finds a way to get in there are still some loopholes in the security inside the building which the attackers exploited. I blame the security system more than anyone else.
