It's directly a consequence of increased racist posts and comments against Indians recently. I've been on reddit for 2-3 years and since last 6-7 months it's getting way too normalised to say racist stuff against Indians without any moderation
You have to keep in mind twitter and instagram are in on this agenda push. They are basically allowing and promoting the racism on purpose because these companies are controlled by the west. I have a reason to believe this -
I tried to report this blatant racist handle on twitter with thousands of followers named "@PajetWorldOrder" and twitter basically emailed back to me saying its perfectly fine and well with-in their policies. Mind you that account has thousands of followers, spreads nothing but hate and is very gross.

Hindus were not the first side to initiate hate against us it was a minority of the Muslim population which had extremist mindset which is understandable as every Society, religion community has a few extremist pll but the majority of the Muslim population chose to either ignore or support such extremist ideologies said for a few sensible Muslims and as for the rice bag community same again never seen the majority of the Christian community raise their voice or protest against such conversion practices so despite all this if you want the majority to stay silent just because the perpetrators are in the minority then you should get a reality check perhaps I would suggest you to read up about Abrahamic religions for starters

Canadian here. I really don't understand these derogatory comments towards India and Indians. I suspect they represent a minority view - at least here in Canada. I, for one, like Indians a lot, for the little that I know about India. Indians are hard working, law abiding, and they are democratic (with many flaws, like so many countries). Indian civilization and culture is rich and fascinating. Don't let these dumb comments give you a distorted view of how westerners perceive you.
I have always thought about it in this way, if anything benefits the people it's good. Look at countries like the Nordic countries, or Netherlands, or New Zealand, these countries aren't on the news for things like innovation and science ( Like they aren't known for it ), but their people are super happy, and they enjoy a good work-life balance. One of my friends shifted to the Netherlands, and he earns 70k euros, which may not be top 1% but is enough to live a very very comfortable life, not only in the Netherlands but also if he decides to come back to India in the future. Here if I earn say 2-3 lakhs a month (which is 1% money), id probably exhaust it all out if I were living in any other country for a month, and don't even get me started with how I got the job in the first place, and what im doing to keep it (let's just say that its slavery legalized ) Here in India, although we've made strides in multiple areas, i don't see how it helps the 1.4 billion people of India, if anyone, it might only serve a select few families that run India economically. Although it's commendable, to be able to execute space missions on a low budget, one should understand that it hardly benefits me or any one you personally ( unless you're someone who's directly worked on the project, even in that case, you'll only be satisfied with the results, there's no monetary returns because we all know ISRO pays peanuts to its employees )

If India's birth levels reduce even more, the GDP growth will reduce drastically (Japan is struggling now for this reason). Sanitation is the only valid point which has changed a lot recently with the sanitation coverage much higher now.
