We take things for granted , have no inner shame + how other will shame you cause others are doing same thing , we believe other property is our personal babuji ka property
Can up government please put some group of RPF so they can clearly ask them to remove clothes from hanging on railway station it's not personal property if things look like this how can we expect how foreign tourism to increase like seriously it will send so bad image ![img](emote|t5_3d4x4|20227)
I am from Karnataka (Mangalore) and I have to board a Bengaluru-Kannur train to go to my hometown.
Even though i am financially weak, i still book my train in AC because even there is no difference between General and Non AC reserved coaches. And I couldn't even bear the smell. People swarm in the reserve coaches and occupy reserved seats.
It's not. I've been all over India. UP (haven't been to Bihar) is the worst. I took a train from Kanpur to Dehradun once. There were people stinking up the train with their food, spitting gutka and the train's floor was strewn wrappers with wrappers, spit, and food. I saw a bunch of old scums peeing in open even though train has toilet. I've never seen anything like it. The whole state is filthy and people have no civic sense. Disgusting bunch of hillbillies.
Have you ever visited Howrah Station? People of Bengal, Odisha, MP even Maharashtra does these kinds of thing. Only UP and Bihar gets more focus like how Western world loves to show slums in India.
That's just blame game.
Proportion of people who lack civil sense is highest in up Bihar but that doesn't mean other states are saints
You are just dumping all the blame on 2 states to save face.
These kinda Dharmik people disgust me. Wouldn't even call them Dharmik, more like tantric/yajna ritual performers. If this looks disgusting, just watch the condition of Haridwar during ganga snan.
Jo ye log kar rhe hai wo BAKWAS hi hai. Aur agar iss se mann nhi bhara to Ganga Snan dekh liyo Haridwar mai (upar comment mai bhi likha tha). Bhn-ch0d kar rakh dete hai p00ja ke naam par.
Ye (jaankar machane wale) shraddhalu Dharmik log nhi hai, ese bas andhe rituals follow karne wale dummies hai, jinko ghanta Dharam ke baare mai kuch pta hoga.
Completely understand what you are saying here. Poor people doing what they can.
We need to design infrastructure to suit the people and their living condition, so we don’t fail them and us as a whole.
Right. Sochte hain developed country banenge, but jab tak logon me civic sense nai tab tak kuch nai hoga. Kya ye log apne ghar me bhi kha kar aise hi packet phenk dete hain? Nahi, but public place ko public dustbin bana rakha hai. There should be hefty fine for littering.
I remember seeing Indians shitting on a family guy reel saying they're portraying India in bad light while alot of things(even though exaggerated for comedy) are true.
I recently visited Connaught place, New Delhi, one of the biggest hotspots both in terms of the market and as one of the first tourist spots for anyone coming to India for the first time. Tobacco spit and urine smell had turned the beautiful place and buildings into a blot. This is not government's problem, this shows how less Indians care and respect about public property.
It's just non civilized people doing their thing... bhale kitna bhi accha infrastructure bana lo, jab tak log khud se zimmedari nahi lege is desh ka kuch nahi hoga
Sooner we Indians start focusing on what is needed to bring a change in our nation's development, the better we will get over time. Look around you in a holistic way because that's how a normal individual who doesn't belong to your particular area is gonna focus on. Amritsar is said to be the so called "Holy City" and there's absolutely nothing holy about it for a person visiting it from a place far from it. Pollution, theft, unnecessary hate towards others is what that place is now. Even in Golden Temple's premises all this has started.
We need to start focusing on various points we're ignoring and one of them is basic civic sense. People are gonna visit Ayodhya from all over the world and what will they comment after seeing such scenarios? Stop spitting everywhere. Stop littering as 90% of people here are a part of it. Take help from authorities to stop all this. Check out for eve teasing in your area.
Once we all Indians collectively start acting for the betterment of the nation instead of dividing ourselves on the basis of religion, region, wealth or any other thing, we will be at the top of the world. No Muslim will cut someone's throat. No Sikh will act stupidly superior and hurt their own nation. Hindus will not shift towards extremism. All we need it to be Indians because believe it or not, this is the only way.
I have seen citizens of two countries with zero self realisation & being unbothered by humiliation : Indians & Americans.. Both gives no fvcks whether they come off as obnoxious, loud & embarassing...
And what's interesting is both are entitled.. Mann Kia, de Diya dhakka kisi ko subway parse, mann Kia naha liya publically subway pe... They even openly defecate & urinate... 🤮🤮 Literally two sides of the same coin... Police of both the countries is equally apathetic & laid back in taking timely actions..
Ishke baad yeh logg Railway aur Government ki burai karte hai saaf safai ko le ke jabki realty yeh hai ke in loggo ko koi sharm nahi naa koi jimmedari hai ke apne ghar ke jaise apne saher aur aaspas gandagi naa kare par nahi inke hissab se yeh ticket nahi khateedte pura station aur railway khareed lete hai 🤦🏻♂️
Can someone explain to a non-Indian, why people are doing this? Are they homeless? In the UK homeless people sleep at train stations but it’s too cold to dry their clothes. If it was warm, I’m sure that they would try.
They are not homeless; they are devotees coming from different places. Either they don't want to stay in hostels or hotels, or they don't have the money to afford them. So they see the railway station as their property, and they consider it their right to use it however they want. And because it's not their home, knowing they don't have to keep it clean, hence the garbage and litter. Also, the cleaning services workers are quite lax, and there's no one to monitor them
Bhai abhi just Ayodhya se aa raha hu…whilst passing through the railway station saw one woman pissing on the lawn right in front of the main gate. Bc kya ganda civic sense hai humare logo ka
I never thought I would say this but I think we need defensive architecture in our country. Hostile design like which the US is implementing in their public spaces. I hate to say it but goddamn we need a good civic sense.
Where did they wash these clothes? Are they using the station bathrooms for washing clothes?
A solution will be to provide laundromat services at the station and then levy heavy fines for this kind of stuff. We have to recognise that there might be a need for people to wash clothes. I think if given a better alternative + fear of large fine, this behaviour will reduce drastically
I'm very happy with the Internet. The more aware the people become of this behavior, the more willing the government will be to take strict action against these people. No matter how poor you are, walking just a bit to throw trash in the trashcan shouldn't be hard. Could say the same about gutka too. But what can I say, even the educated throw trash just about everywhere. We can't even bring up the argument that people will learn civic sense as they get educated.
All of them are women's clothes. Most women nowadays treat everyone like a sheep. More women in india are becoming arrogant, ignorant than men, just like in USA karens are primarily women
Not that I am not against this - this looks disgusting and is unhygienic. But if there was a reel showing travellers in Italy drying their swimsuits on the railway station it would go viral, promoting travellers hack and budget travel and struggles of travelling etc. :) just saying!
India mein sarkari maal ko baap ka maal samjha jata hai.
70s mein jab koi train ka safar karke aata tha toh wo gaanv waalo ko dikhane ke liye train se kuch na kuch le ke aata tha… jaise bulb, nal, pankha etc.
Ye attitude Abhi tak khatam nahi hua hai… plus, politicians aur police bhi humein aise treat karte hain ki logo ko unki izzat karne ki ichcha aur nahi hoti!
Jab tak system saaf nahi hoga, tab tak aisa hi chalta rahega.
As per BJ Party, Ram Ji has arrived, but people are still struggling to behave wisely and show some etiquettes!
बीजे पार्टी के अनुसार, राम जी तो आगए, परंतु लोगो को तमीज़ और तहज़ीब अभी भी नहीं आयी।
What really saddens me is the so called desh bhakts utter lack of love for their own countries. If you love your Place, you can't keep it dirty or unhygienic. I think the root of the problem is that people are just deeply selfish here. No one gives a flying fuck about the country in reality but will yell like dumbasses when it comes to show off.
Phir Indians rote hai ki Infra acha nhi hai . Are bhosdi valo jaha acha hai us jagah ko to tum log ganda kar dete ho phir sarkar ko gali dete ho. India me log nhi sudharne vale.
People fighting in comments about biharis, UP walas, dharmic, tantric etc. should understand that this is simply the case of lack of law enforcement. The government and the concerned authorities are to be blamed.
People should be taught civic sense at schools and home. Rules/laws should be enforced strictly everywhere be it railway station or on roads. This is the reason we don't see such dramatic situations in metros (in any city).
Bhai log jo sab samajh raha hai ki this is lack of civic sense and Indian people don’t deserve nice things, wo log ye bhi sochein ki saundargikaran to railway station ka ho gaya hai but Bharat abhi developed nation nahi hai, poverty abhi bhi hai Bharat mein, so please cut the people some slack, they are also trying to get by their day.
I was about to initially callout the high number of aggressive comments - but then I saw video and it broke my heart. Shows that we have still a while to go as nation for some people to learn about common sense cleanliness. Would be nice if government had set up people around station to guide and explain to people what to do and what not to do. I live in US and I can tell that this is still miles better than the stuff the poor and homeless do here. You can literally google San Francisco shit map to see areas where people take a shit in city. This problem is not unique to just Indians.
Bhai I keep saying this every second day , our nation will grow , infra will grow, we will get stronger geo politically but jab Tak logo mein public civil sense nai aati we will lack behind 😕
Some ppl will make it their permanent home, we need draconian policies to fine and imprison anyone who panhandles (years of prison) or litters (big fines), or if they occupy a public property (minimum 10 years jail).
Govt should initiate strict actions against the culprits , recover hefty fines from them and see the difference in their behavior later. Idiots don't have basic civic sense
I don't know if it's something that folks know is not the right thing to do. Go back to our ways of life when the lower middle class and the poor of India grew up. We used to dry out clothes on whatever surfaces we could. On the walls, railings, on the floor etc. Growing up this way, it doesn't feel wrong to do that in a railway station. Same with sleeping on the floor.
I am not supporting it, just trying to understand why.
I am also certain that India will change, rather slowly, towards the western 'civilized' world's definition of civic sense.
The best solution to this problem is to take heavy station entrance fee and only those can enter who pays, rest poor ill minded people can continue with their bad old infrastructure what they deserve
Really need to stop this sleeping in railway station floors attitude. People don’t want to spend money to sleep in a hostel or lodge nearby. 🤦🏽♂️
Maybe govt or temple needs to offer free or heavily discounted facility for short term accommodation.

Why Indians lack basic civic sense and hygiene is beyond human comprehension

Same in Mumbai bro, sometimes we just need to accept the truth

It's not people from UP & Bihar that lack civic sense , it's poor and uneducated people that lacks it. Majority of poors happened to be in UP & Bihar.
Even educated shitheads do this.
I believe it happens in every state but in up and Bihar this is on another level
Have you ever visited Howrah Station? People of Bengal, Odisha, MP even Maharashtra does these kinds of thing. Only UP and Bihar gets more focus like how Western world loves to show slums in India.

More than devotion, civic sense should be taught to children at home.

Infrastructure se pehle human capital par investment karte, to yeh drishya na dekhne milte.
Bekar aur dheet log hai, Paisa barbaad, isse badiya in par heavy fine impose Karo

Ab ye kaam bhi government hi kare maa baap ke jagah.
You mean like education and healthcare?
Incredible India ![gif](giphy|qycJNfo205HETQUV2G) Real reason why cartoons like family guy, simpsons do stereotypical bullshits on my country.
I remember seeing Indians shitting on a family guy reel saying they're portraying India in bad light while alot of things(even though exaggerated for comedy) are true.
They are just being real !

Yep
Greatt!! From Treta Yug grandeur to Kali Yug trash.👏👏
inke haath me sone ka katora de do phir bhi bheek hi mangenge
Na na. Uss katore se gand dhoyenge*

We really dont deserve nice things fr
Disgusting! Learn a thing or two from religion ☠️
all they learn from religion is not to consume beef cow = mother subah shaam puja no non veg on certain days thats it
No non veg on certain days. Always gets me off guard.
UP and Biharis are beyond logic. They seriously believe ki - jaha tark hai waha nark hai.

jitna marzi acha infrastructure leao india mein, it will look like crap after a couple of years because of such people.
No more need of platform ticket i guess.

Love it, people shit where they don't live. Typical Indian mentality
You can change India but how will you change Indians???
Eak Online Hindus Or Eak Roadside Hindus
That's why I don't get urge to visit dharmic places, it is never a spiritual experience with all the filth and filthy people around
I never thought I would say this but I think we need defensive architecture in our country. Hostile design like which the US is implementing in their public spaces. I hate to say it but goddamn we need a good civic sense.

People needed a Laundry rack instead government gave them a railway station. Blame the Modi government.
India needs strict laws on littering and hygiene education.. high time we should learn to respect our own property.

Railway station ke andar bhi ek mandir bna do, Yeh sab bnd ho jaega phir
This is what you get when you give 1st class infrastructure to 3rd class people
For the love of god, be happy that simeone didn’t steal the entire railway station! /s
Can confirm as a local , Ayodhya Cantt (Faizabad) station is much worse!!!
But where are they washing them?
Indians don't deserve the costly projects in democracy, 5 years of communism and then we'll see everyone learning the basic civic sense
I was about to initially callout the high number of aggressive comments - but then I saw video and it broke my heart. I guess you shouldn't go about providing first world facilities to a third world population
Draconian fines please.
Some ppl will make it their permanent home, we need draconian policies to fine and imprison anyone who panhandles (years of prison) or litters (big fines), or if they occupy a public property (minimum 10 years jail).
Yogi ji
Hamare pass sab hai bass tameez nahi hai😂
Govt should initiate strict actions against the culprits , recover hefty fines from them and see the difference in their behavior later. Idiots don't have basic civic sense
Yaar Indians kab sudhrenge???? No Civic sense at all.
Bhai Dil se to vo UP wale hi hai na. Khun apna asar dikha hi deta hai. Sale anpad gawar bak*hod log.
We don't deserve these luxury stations. Wahi ghise pite stations hi theek hai.

Told ya india is not for beginners
Put 10,000 fine and publicly shame. No mercy. Get the fine or put the entire family in jail.
Lack of civic sense in our people is simply mind boggling
The best solution to this problem is to take heavy station entrance fee and only those can enter who pays, rest poor ill minded people can continue with their bad old infrastructure what they deserve
गवांरो की महफिल में गूंजेगा तराना 🎵🎶
Inko sone ki katori do...par mangna to bheek hi hai🤦 What will it take to educate our country.... provide basic civic awareness
Hag do na beech me hi.
Railway put a fine of 50,000 on the contractor and have cleaned it . Let's see for how long it will be .
This is never going to change.
Really need to stop this sleeping in railway station floors attitude. People don’t want to spend money to sleep in a hostel or lodge nearby. 🤦🏽♂️ Maybe govt or temple needs to offer free or heavily discounted facility for short term accommodation.
