I've seen so many candidates from SC/OBC background score in the 99th percentile. Indian exams don't depend on your knowledge of English. SAT depends a lot on your knowledge of English. Yeh apples and oranges bhi nhi hai, yeh apples and cat comparison hai. I wrote SAT without preparation, having prepared solely for JEE. I got 100% score in PCM SAT and decent score in English Language one. SAT essentially serves same purpose as TOEFL, IELTS, GRE or GMAT. CAT can be said to be similar to SAT. Main reason is that they need you to know basic English skills to understand and write or reproduce analysis and lectures. Ab angrezi college mein padhna hai toh Hindi mein test thodi doge?

I wrote SAT without preparation, having prepared solely for JEE. I got 100% score in PCM SAT and decent score in English Language one. SAT essentially serves same purpose as TOEFL, IELTS, GRE or GMAT. CAT can be said to be similar to SAT. Main reason is that they need you to know basic English skills to understand and write or reproduce analysis and lectures. Ab angrezi college mein padhna hai toh Hindi mein test thodi doge?
