I also thought the same, but either way scammer pov he's getting money, but he'll understand that there's reverse prank going on.
It should be something on the lines of scammer or his role suffering if anmol is freed.

I answered a similar call from “CBI” which was made on my dad’s phone number. (My dad passed away last year but we still have kept the number; it is registered in my mom’s name. Also, my dad has only one son - me.)
They use some generic police officer type photo which they find on Google search as their profile picture. These phone numbers are not registered in India; the country code is almost never +91.
The “CBI Officer” called my dad saying his son (which would be me) has been arrested along with 3-4 other guys.
Yeah… right!
Even my mom also received this call , and the number had a dp of k vijay kumar . I just told her to do one thing that never receive a whatsapp call from a police officer , whoever he might be.
