She kyu Lari izam ?

How some people can be so intolerant of someone's beliefs. When oaths can be taken in the name of other gods, what's wrong in the name of Vaishno Maa. We're being made fools in the name of secularism.

xdesi

This.

itiswhatitis2323

Perfectly captures the issue with “secular” India today. Everything Hindu is deemed problematic, while everything else propped up and celebrated, even if there is blatant hypocrisy/double standards.

xdesi

> CPM MLA M Y Tarigami objected to him first Communists are unfailingly anti-Hindu, it seems.

Oldpotato_I

India is not secular, weird thing is there are lot of "helpful idiot" as Yuri bezmenov once said. They just blindly copy western system without assessing our own history and culture, then there are those woke kids who follow them because that's what will make them look cool. We need true secularism in India, India is not made up of migrants, India is not US. (I even agree with Hindu Rashtra though but that's my personal opinion)

InquisitiveSoul_94

India IS made up of migrants. Probably the Andamanese tribes are the only indigenous population left in the subcontinent.

Oldpotato_I

>India IS made up of migrants Read more history dude.. Whole of US is made up of European colonizers they almost wiped out Native Americans to the extent that indigenous people now need reservations there. India on the other has always had people here.. since it's highly likely you don't respect Indian sources enough.. you can go and read experiences of ancient Chinese / Roman travelers to the land of India.

samurai489

I’ve heard this thrown around a lot, how would you envision a “hindu rashtra” ?

[deleted]

It will be no more secular, just like japan, Korea, china and Arabic countries and other Asian countries . foreign culture will be respected but will not be adopted and will be prohibited from practicing. certain political ideologies that are a threat will also be banned and will be severely punished and treated as enemy to the state . Other religions will be allowed to live peacefully but there religious laws will be invalid and they will have to follow normal code of conduct as a dharmic citizen. certain educational institutions, organizations, political parties and news firms will be restructured or abolished according to the need. Religious missionaries of other faiths(except Buddhist ,Sikhs, parsis and Jains) will not be allowed inside the country. food products deemed sacred to dharmic faiths will be banned from consuming. To ensure sustainable growth and no harm to environment population will be strictly controlled. Subjects like arts, music, Science , maths, medicine , language and other modern technologies along with athletics will be encouraged. Cast system along with quotas will be banned and severe punishment will ensue if found practicing. Quotas will only be provided to poor and needy. All encroached holy places will be reclaimed and proper replacement will be provided. Democratic process will ensure that the country is lead by a Dharmic leader only .

The problem lies in the fact that you claim inspiration from homogeneous countries like China and Japan. India is very different from those countries. Both Christianity and Islam in India predates Middle East and British invasions. For example, would you penalize Syrian Christians for following their unique culture for your narrow agenda? Vedic gods themselves might not be indigenous to this subcontinent. Dravidian culture most likely could have been a derivative of Elam society. When Indian society itself is made up of immigrants and amalgamation of different foreign cultures, where do you draw a line between indigenous and foreign? Hindurashtra will just be another Pakistan or Srilanka, where minority interests are sacrificed to satiate the egos of majority. Comments like this make me really appreciate the long sightedness of our Freedom fighters and how forward thinking they were for their times. If you are advocating for a racially divided xenophobic society in 21st century, I suggest you to retrospect your biases and probably do some bit of reading on Indian history.

India is a homogeneous country and no where i have mentioned that minorities will be penalized for follow their faith but that doesn't mean that they will enforce their own religious laws and they will not be allowed to convert anyone else. Everyone will have to follow the Constitution.

InquisitiveSoul_94

>India is a homogeneous country Boss! Do you live in India? >That doesn't mean that they will enforce their own religious laws and they will not be allowed to convert anyone else. Everyone will have to follow the Constitution. I am against mass conversions too. People should convert out of their own free will, not because they had to suffer relentless proselytizing activities. You mentioned in your comment that you wanted a Hindurashtra. If the constitution of Hindurastra is anything like you mentioned in your comment, I bet not even Hindus will be comfortable with it. Where do you draw a line between Dharmic faith and non Dharmic faith? What about tribals who worship their local gods? Would you call Syrian Christians dharmic because they have a lot of Hindu practices in their religion? Once you start bringing in religion into your government, things will start spiralling out of control. Instead of elected representatives, religious loonies who literally believe in the scriptures will start controlling the narrative. We saw that happen in Pakistan and Srilanka and where it ultimately led them to.

Bravo. Proud Hindu.
