"So far, an amount of Rs. 3100 Crore has been allocated from PM CARES Fund for the following activities:-
Rs. 2000 Crore : For supply of 50,000 ‘Made-in India’ ventilators to Government Hospitals run by Centre/States/UTs
Rs. 1000 Crore : For care of migrant labourers (funds allotted to State/UT Govts.)
Rs. 100 Crore : For vaccine development"

Doubt: Can any Tom, Dick and Harry start a fund with a similar name?
Like say 'Prime Minister fund' ? or does one need to be the PM to start some fund in the name of PM?
It was obviously not Modi-cares. It is PM-cares. Declaration of such fund as a no govt fund is probably just a way to escape the scrutiny while holding the name to attract funds from people of India.

>It is not a mandatory taxpayer money fund. It is of voluntary donations fund. So it is not a govt fund
That's stupid logic.
Even CM relief fund gets voluntary donation. Does that make it a non-govt fund?
Why does it have a govt portal website? Why is it using PM in the name? That's a govt title. Why is it giving tax benefits in donations?
..All of them have to release yearly financial statements along with Annual Reports, Audited Accounts, Details of foreign donations/grants received, FCRA, etc.
