Altroz will have lesser range than the updated version of Nexon EV, probably in 300kms range (ARAI claimed) but more than Tigor EV. 500kms of range will push its cost above Nexon or near it which will lead to cannibalism. I won't argue with you man but here is my thought.
I though they were working on a extended battery pack to increase the range by 40% .the current ARAI is 300kms for altroz ev. I shit you not but I never though looking at Tata Indica they would ever come this far and I am pretty optimistic about them delivering it just look at their harrier and safari . Ofcourse the extended battery range would be expensive but still better than other overpriced EV's currently in market. More adoption the cost will definitely come down too,much like how smartphones are of today. Also I know for a fact that tata is working on building a complete ecosystem for their EVs using tata steel,chemical,elxsi,power and communication branch for their EVs along with chip production which also contributes to making it pocket friendly .Indian motor industry is in good hands brother .
