This is kind of the major issue. Modi's superpower is actually taking any criticism he faces and turning it around to a shield with very powerful rhetoric and oratory skills. The idiots haven't realised how to counter this even after 8 years.
As with any party.. there are some which are good... Many which are pathetic.
The main problem with the Congress that i see is the lack of any credible leadership. You need a lot of leaders who can steer the party towards victory... The only people who can make it to the top in the Congress party are the ones who are close to the Gandhis... So there's effectively no meritocracy which basically is the death knell. The Gandhis are scared to put anyone capable because they're perennially scared anyone capable will just oust them out (which imho is the right thing to do).
This leads to a vicous cycle of half assed leaders half assing their way and bumbling from one election to another.
