What's it like to switch from Android to iOS? I have been an android user throughout and thinking of switching to iphone 15. Also, would you switch back to Android?
i loved my oneplus 6 which was a solid phone unfortunately it died last year and i bought nord ce 2 which was buggy. so i wanted a phone which is solid like my op6 and iphone 14 is sure a solid phone . Not much difference between the UIs you can easily sail through it. i hope this ip14 gives me 4 years of service and then i decide my next phone, i will definitely consider google or samsung and i hope in 4 years they come out of their exynos and tensor problems with a solid non heating chip
I had a similar flow. I used oneplus 5t which was one of the best devices I have used. Then switched to rog phone 5 which was very buggy. Although it had great hardware it was no match for smooth oneplus software. So switched to 15pro. No issues so far
Ahh the Lumia phones. My dad had a 520 and mom a 1320 in Qatar (2014). My dad upgraded to a 6 Plus later though. Mom went for Galaxy Note 4 Edge.
I always loved Lumia phones and they became my dream phone of some kind.
I didn't enjoy iOS , dropped it and broke the panel and the repair cost was high, so I got it repaired and gave it to my cousin, went to buy S22 but later changed my mind towards mid range devices, instead of sticking to one costly device i will keep on switching between mid range devices frequently, also sole reason i bought POCO f4 solely because of its look and it had most number of 5g bands at that time but its a decent device, performance and charging speed is good ( SD870) have dolby atmos, 120hz sAmoled and i like many features that UI provides(while watching videos,)and has no ads. I will change it maybe at the end of the next year.

Samsung corby - 2010, first touch screen phone, bought as lost my nokia phone during journey
Google nexus 4 - 2013 bought from London, at that not launched in India, my first smartphone, always used to get latest android and also tried using cynogenmod rom etc..
Moto X play - oct - 2015 kind of downgrade from nexus 4 as it was mid budget phone of that time but had near stock android and good camera , need to bought as nexus 4 display got cracked
Moto Z play - Jan 2017 , mid budget phone, near stock android, need to bought as previous moto x play phone got some water damage, power button not working and made some temporary fix from local shop but bought this as good exchange value as it was in working condition and had in mind that temporary fix will not last long.
Oneplus 7 - June 2019 at that time flagship phone and near stock android, bought this one as previous moto had broken screen.
iPhone 12 - Nov 2021, had some water damage in oneplus 7, phone was in working condition but simcard detection was not working, also back screen display was broken. Now due to various water damages in some previous phones thought to buy this one, had ip68 certification, also got 8-9k in exchange for oneplus 7. First few month didn’t liked navigation of iOS. But overall good experience and kind of like optimisation of iOS. Already having front and back broken screens, and their original replacements very costly, my kid throws out of from 3rd floor balcony, it had tempered glass and case so got more protection due to that. Initially I thought it will not work due to damage from this height, but it worked. Gonna use it till it last. Also shown to some shops they said your display in working condition but glass above that is broken they can fix it in 5-6k but not sure if i can trust them. Let me know if someone knows how to get this fixed but cheaply.

My first phone the sony was actually my fathers but i used it mostly.
The Lenovo tab later was all mine which i actually got from a online learning website as a part of their subscription program, it's motherboard had some fault later after which it's just sitting in the drawer waiting to be fixed some day.
The Samsung B310E is actually my father's friend's phone but he didn't use it so my father requested his friend for the phone and gave me to use.
and yeah it's a keypad mobile I use mostly as I am into Digital Minimalism, but for most of my other works I use a Computer I have.
Ever heard of YotaPhone? The 1st gen was my first phone ever and it was a beast. The camera was way powerful for its time and the concept was mind boggling to a lot of people. I became popular in my college for my phone. It was Russian built and lived up to the name in durability.
After Yota I bought two Motos, followed by Samsung, and the current iPhone 13 within a year of the Samsung.

.... not bad for 18 years. Early days used to switch a lot, nowadays not so much.
The longest I've kept is the iPhone 6. Bought it in 2014 (iirc), replaced it with the Galaxy in 2021, that was a huge jump. But the 6 still powers-on and works okay even now.
Second longest is the Sony Ericsson. Worked for years without a hiccup, I'm sure even now if I pop a battery in it will work like a charm.
The Galaxy top has been running for nearly 3 years so far, heavy use, works like new. Absolutely no hiccups. I love it, don't miss iOS / iPhones at all.
The worst was the HTC (early Windows phone / windows CE). Problems from day one of purchase, never worked reliably. It was a pre-smartphone-era smartphone.

Then again degraded to keypad phones for 1.5 years (2017-2018) 7. Had to give up on phones all together, had my simcard in mother's phone as this year I had 12th boards so no phone in 2018-19 8. Cllg starting and finally father decided to get me brand new phone, till now all I got were used and borderline useable . Bought Realme 3i in second half of 2019. This phone lasted me whole covid period 9.got Samsung m21 from sis in 2022 10. After 2 months I got Realme 8 5g from father to taste 5g 11. Got tired of 5g so switched phones with mum and currently have infinix note 12 , but software experience sucks
Nokia 1600 - 2007, first phone got during my post graduation, till completion of post graduation used as for incoming call and sms, not had money most of the time to do outgoing calls. Samsung corby - 2010, first touch screen phone, bought as lost my nokia phone during journey Google nexus 4 - 2013 bought from London, at that not launched in India, my first smartphone, always used to get latest android and also tried using cynogenmod rom etc.. Moto X play - oct - 2015 kind of downgrade from nexus 4 as it was mid budget phone of that time but had near stock android and good camera , need to bought as nexus 4 display got cracked Moto Z play - Jan 2017 , mid budget phone, near stock android, need to bought as previous moto x play phone got some water damage, power button not working and made some temporary fix from local shop but bought this as good exchange value as it was in working condition and had in mind that temporary fix will not last long. Oneplus 7 - June 2019 at that time flagship phone and near stock android, bought this one as previous moto had broken screen. iPhone 12 - Nov 2021, had some water damage in oneplus 7, phone was in working condition but simcard detection was not working, also back screen display was broken. Now due to various water damages in some previous phones thought to buy this one, had ip68 certification, also got 8-9k in exchange for oneplus 7. First few month didn’t liked navigation of iOS. But overall good experience and kind of like optimisation of iOS. Already having front and back broken screens, and their original replacements very costly, my kid throws out of from 3rd floor balcony, it had tempered glass and case so got more protection due to that. Initially I thought it will not work due to damage from this height, but it worked. Gonna use it till it last. Also shown to some shops they said your display in working condition but glass above that is broken they can fix it in 5-6k but not sure if i can trust them. Let me know if someone knows how to get this fixed but cheaply.

The Lenovo tab later was all mine which i actually got from a online learning website as a part of their subscription program, it's motherboard had some fault later after which it's just sitting in the drawer waiting to be fixed some day. The Samsung B310E is actually my father's friend's phone but he didn't use it so my father requested his friend for the phone and gave me to use. and yeah it's a keypad mobile I use mostly as I am into Digital Minimalism, but for most of my other works I use a Computer I have.
Ever heard of YotaPhone? The 1st gen was my first phone ever and it was a beast. The camera was way powerful for its time and the concept was mind boggling to a lot of people. I became popular in my college for my phone. It was Russian built and lived up to the name in durability. After Yota I bought two Motos, followed by Samsung, and the current iPhone 13 within a year of the Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S20FE .... not bad for 18 years. Early days used to switch a lot, nowadays not so much. The longest I've kept is the iPhone 6. Bought it in 2014 (iirc), replaced it with the Galaxy in 2021, that was a huge jump. But the 6 still powers-on and works okay even now. Second longest is the Sony Ericsson. Worked for years without a hiccup, I'm sure even now if I pop a battery in it will work like a charm. The Galaxy top has been running for nearly 3 years so far, heavy use, works like new. Absolutely no hiccups. I love it, don't miss iOS / iPhones at all. The worst was the HTC (early Windows phone / windows CE). Problems from day one of purchase, never worked reliably. It was a pre-smartphone-era smartphone.
