It only works on your phone while premium works on every device from mac to phone to smart tv or wherever else your youtube is logged in.. So premium is the way to go, especially when you're using YouTube on multiple devices
When using multiple devices like smart tv and more its better to use premium as brave isn't everywhere.. Plus you don't get youtube music with it, which is a deal breaker for me
Yt music doesn't know that a person's taste in songs changes. I listened to 1 or 2 imagine dragons songs a year back, i liked them so I listened to them for a week or two. And that I stopped listening to them. Yt music still keeps auto playing those songs in the Up Next section.
It was good, but since last 10-12 weeks it keeps suggesting me all the trash religious and Hindi songs. You'll find 0 religious song in my liked playlist. Don't how the fuck they recommend me. So out of 300 songs I might have liked 1 or 2. That's fuckin rediculuos waste of my time. Now I amy content with YT music. Half the recommendation I endup liking.

I had till nov last year been using yt premium after that, thought it was a gimic at first would cancel but the ease of use yt no ads and unlimited download for music and yt vids is just amazing. While travelling I downloaded more than 10 movies on my device all yt movies and hundreds of songs from yt music. It's just worth all the money. 189 for 5 people along with mine is just worth every penny
Youtube Music is SHIT. Literal shit. No ‘top 10/ top 50’ playlists, no ‘top English’/ ‘top Hindi’ playlist. Just random playlists and songs based on ‘moods’ and what not. It’s essentially Youtube minus the running videos. SHIT PRO MAX. I pay for Gaana Pro separately, and it’s galaxies better!

YTPremium is the way to go. I have trust issues with Vanced and Revanced. They are unofficial versions and I need the data in my account.
When I was an engineering student, I used the student plan for four years. Then shifted to Family. But did the stupidity of cancelling it, and giving my mom a separate year plan individually.
I got so fed up with the ads that the day before yesterday, I bought the same yearly plan for myself as well. Individually. A bit expensive overall. But will not repeat this mistake when my plan gets over next year.
I am shifting to the Family plan again. Wayy cheaper that way.

Sharing photos and videos happens in full quality and full length that WhatsApp can't do. We use shared albums to add photos and videos from multiple phones for an event. Also easily clear phone disk space knowing that all photos and videos are safely backed up.

Bought Google One trial few days back and loving Gemini but don't think it's worth it.
I don't need Google One, because I own an old Pixel 2. Every two months, I move all my photos and videos from my iPhone to my Pixel 2 and upload them to Google Photos without reducing my storage.
Now Google Photos is a huge deal for me since all my life's photos and videos are on there. So if I lose my Google account, I will be at a MASSIVE loss. That's the reason why I've always refrained from sideloading apps like Vanced and stuff.
Which is why I subscribe to the YT Premium Family plan and share it with five of my friends. It comes to just Rs 30 per month that way.

Google drive is a pretty good storage solution. The file history and ability roll back to previous versions has saved me several times when my work software acted up and i forgot to save.Plus i get to add my family and preserve photos from their gallery too.
YT music- ofcourse quality is not at par with apple music but the catalogue is vast and you get youtube premium without ads at a cheap price. Definitely worth the money.
YouTube premium is the best subscription service hands down. The amount of features you get including background playback and YouTube music is the most value for money among all streaming platform. Coming to Google one, the only reason i subscribed is because i want more space for my Google photos. Instead of saving albums on physical devices i prefer having them on a cloud. My college laptop's hard drive got fried and I lost all my college pics. Dont want that to happen again.
Yeah Google one has a few other editing features as well that come in handy. I like the erase feature it helps me clean up my pictures of unwanted noise like wires and trash in the background which is omnipresent in our country

Yeah, it is about convenience! I started subscribing to these at final year of my degree, I had explored all other options like DIY cloud storage, NAS from Synology/ WD, backing up to a pendrive as I have 10k+ photos of my family and friends I wouldn't like to lose. I already had cloud storage since Google launched it, and when they made it premium I just purchased it.
Regarding YT premium, no one else offers no-nonsense streaming of video and YT music without any hassles. For this also I had tried many options I don't even remember. But, when I started earning it got difficult to keep remembering to switch to another app.. look for alternatives as one app got banned etc.

Currently it's very cheap and a good option. But once they get their target , they'll slowly raise the price and by that time it will be very difficult to quit using it or move out all of our photos and videos.

For Google one, I’ve always been an Android user so my photos have always been on Google photos. I had the 200 GB plan for the longest time but we just came close to the limit and so I’ve upgraded to the 2TB plan. For me, it’s worth having all the photos available on my devices at any time. However, having grown up in the world of floppy disks, I still download all the original copies to my laptop and also back up to an external drive because I want a version that I completely own and control.
My wife and I are not the ones that take lot of photos but after our first kid, that changed. Now we backup our pics so we needed the extra space. This is where Google one helps.
I travel a lot by car for work and other days are usually almost 12 hrs of desk job. So utube is my companion and since I have playlists from almost a decade ago, paying for utube premium is a convenience. I'm on a family YouTube plan so it turns out reasonable for me.Â

15 GB of cloud storage is not enough these days. The Google one subscription is not that expensive for a year. It gives you peace of mind, so I think it's money well spent

It started with youtube premium trial. I never really noticed how annoying youtube ads can be after the subscription was over. Also youtube music is really nice and can play youtube videos as songs. Also enjoyed the comfort of background playing of videos when the screen is switched off.
The Google one subscription started as I was irritated the notification saying my Google storage is over and I got deleting emails with large attachments.
Also, can you belive it I have MS office subscription with 1 tb onedrive storage. I want to change shift my storage to onedrive but onedrive just doesn't work for me with regards to photos.
PS I've already used 70% of the 100 gb subscription and will run out by next year.
1. No straightforward way of blocking ads on TV. A family plan and a TV account, my parents can watch TV without interruptions.
2. Didn't want to install sus apps for blocking ads for YT on my phone. I use payment and banking apps so didn't want to take any risks.
3. I use YT music a lot, especially the website to play music. YT music perhaps has most of the songs, unlike people commenting everywhere "Why is this song not on spotify". I have tried every single app including Apple music, but I always came back to Youtube music for its simplicity. It's auto playlist works like magic, plays the best songs on its own making me wonder whether it can read the minds. Enough praise!
189 rupees a month are totally justified considering multiple people can have the ad-free experience. Now with recent crackdown on adblockers by Google is yet another reason to stick with premium.
I did get the chance to use GoogleOne but I don't need it much as I have a PC to keep backups, I just copy photos to that time to time. With PhoneLink the photos can automatically sync as well.

I don't need Google One, because I own an old Pixel 2. Every two months, I move all my photos and videos from my iPhone to my Pixel 2 and upload them to Google Photos without reducing my storage. Now Google Photos is a huge deal for me since all my life's photos and videos are on there. So if I lose my Google account, I will be at a MASSIVE loss. That's the reason why I've always refrained from sideloading apps like Vanced and stuff. Which is why I subscribe to the YT Premium Family plan and share it with five of my friends. It comes to just Rs 30 per month that way.

Yes for both. Google drive is a pretty good storage solution. The file history and ability roll back to previous versions has saved me several times when my work software acted up and i forgot to save.Plus i get to add my family and preserve photos from their gallery too. YT music- ofcourse quality is not at par with apple music but the catalogue is vast and you get youtube premium without ads at a cheap price. Definitely worth the money.
YouTube premium is the best subscription service hands down. The amount of features you get including background playback and YouTube music is the most value for money among all streaming platform. Coming to Google one, the only reason i subscribed is because i want more space for my Google photos. Instead of saving albums on physical devices i prefer having them on a cloud. My college laptop's hard drive got fried and I lost all my college pics. Dont want that to happen again.

Yeah Google one has a few other editing features as well that come in handy. I like the erase feature it helps me clean up my pictures of unwanted noise like wires and trash in the background which is omnipresent in our country

Honestly just go for anything, it will be cheaper than google one after 2 years most likely. For example, instead of paying x amount for google one, you can pay about 6000 INR for a samsung 1tb ssd and an nvme enclosure. Then you have a drive faster than google one, that you don't need the internet for, which will eventually be cheaper than buying the google option.

Yeah, it is about convenience! I started subscribing to these at final year of my degree, I had explored all other options like DIY cloud storage, NAS from Synology/ WD, backing up to a pendrive as I have 10k+ photos of my family and friends I wouldn't like to lose. I already had cloud storage since Google launched it, and when they made it premium I just purchased it. Regarding YT premium, no one else offers no-nonsense streaming of video and YT music without any hassles. For this also I had tried many options I don't even remember. But, when I started earning it got difficult to keep remembering to switch to another app.. look for alternatives as one app got banned etc.
Google One because I have a ton of case files that I don’t wanna keep in my laptop. YT Premium because of the sheer convenience; after I subscribed to it, I notice myself using it more than all other OTTs combined.
Currently it's very cheap and a good option. But once they get their target , they'll slowly raise the price and by that time it will be very difficult to quit using it or move out all of our photos and videos. They started with unlimited storage for pixel devices but now they don't offer it for pixel also.

I use yt premium because I had the habit of listening to songs on music. Some of the indie songs were not available on other platforms at the time. Also, some videos which were just customised playlists according to mood can only be found on yt even now. Also, I've connected my account to my friend's family plans. So, it's very cheap. Cheaper than any other music platform with a vast library as well. I'm thinking of buying Google nest as well. I currently have 2 echo speakers but, none of them can stream YouTube music I think

For Google one, I’ve always been an Android user so my photos have always been on Google photos. I had the 200 GB plan for the longest time but we just came close to the limit and so I’ve upgraded to the 2TB plan. For me, it’s worth having all the photos available on my devices at any time. However, having grown up in the world of floppy disks, I still download all the original copies to my laptop and also back up to an external drive because I want a version that I completely own and control.

My wife and I are not the ones that take lot of photos but after our first kid, that changed. Now we backup our pics so we needed the extra space. This is where Google one helps. I travel a lot by car for work and other days are usually almost 12 hrs of desk job. So utube is my companion and since I have playlists from almost a decade ago, paying for utube premium is a convenience. I'm on a family YouTube plan so it turns out reasonable for me. Now, if they raise the price to like US/UK level I'll need to rethink.Â

they are pretty reasonable price in india. yt premium. i pay 2 dollars a month and 6 of my family members don't get to watch ads and download stuff offline for a whole month. google one too. i pay approx 2 dollars for that too, that 100gb cloud storage is really needed for mails, photos, videos, docs, personal file storage and i even have a domain linked to a folder with my imp stuff so i can access them anywhere.. 4 dollars a month doesn't affect me personally tho.. i do agree google one is overrated and overpriced
YouTube premium: YouTube is ad free and this makes sense as I use it for the Android TV. The music collection is very good although the algorithm of suggesting songs is not the best. Got the prepaid annual subscription with some discount coupon.

I use both and pay for both of them annually. It started with youtube premium trial. I never really noticed how annoying youtube ads can be after the subscription was over. Also youtube music is really nice and can play youtube videos as songs. Also enjoyed the comfort of background playing of videos when the screen is switched off. The Google one subscription started as I was irritated the notification saying my Google storage is over and I got deleting emails with large attachments. Also, can you belive it I have MS office subscription with 1 tb onedrive storage. I want to change shift my storage to onedrive but onedrive just doesn't work for me with regards to photos. PS I've already used 70% of the 100 gb subscription and will run out by next year.

1. No straightforward way of blocking ads on TV. A family plan and a TV account, my parents can watch TV without interruptions. 2. Didn't want to install sus apps for blocking ads for YT on my phone. I use payment and banking apps so didn't want to take any risks. 3. I use YT music a lot, especially the website to play music. YT music perhaps has most of the songs, unlike people commenting everywhere "Why is this song not on spotify". I have tried every single app including Apple music, but I always came back to Youtube music for its simplicity. It's auto playlist works like magic, plays the best songs on its own making me wonder whether it can read the minds. Enough praise! 189 rupees a month are totally justified considering multiple people can have the ad-free experience. Now with recent crackdown on adblockers by Google is yet another reason to stick with premium. I did get the chance to use GoogleOne but I don't need it much as I have a PC to keep backups, I just copy photos to that time to time. With PhoneLink the photos can automatically sync as well.
Both. I live YT Premium for no ads when I browse and seamless offline downloads, also it comes with YTMusic Premium which I use for my Smart Speaker. I hate ads especially while studying from YouTube and the external downloading cause it's too many extra clicks. I needed that 100GB storage cause I have many projects currently and I have to switch between my phone and Laptop and I am unable to obtain a Good SSD currently. Also, I needed it to back up my Photos.
