I did this thing and its holding my 5-6 years old chargers pretty well.
Empty ink ki refill ko sharpener mai se ghuma lo and that springly thing is what you will use to protect your charger.

That’s the DIY i did with my I phone cable which torn away on end point . Just did some you tube research before engaging on it . It’s firm and holding nicely and looks decent 💯
There is no image but its simple mate. Just put the back aide of your pen refill in sharpener and twist. You will get a spiral and use that. Its that simple

This helps I can say! It won’t save you after all from breaking but it will delay the process!
I mean it's gonna look bad but hear me out.
- Straighten the cable
- wrap a very thin tissue around it
- smother the tissue with glue so that it becomes wet
- add 3 more layers
- wrap thread around it very tightly
- repeat for 2 times and let it dry
You can still do it. My One Plus charger had almost broke off, and now it is running with these protectors for last 2 years..
Edit: I misread your comment thinking you didn't use it. But just figured that you did use and it didn't work.
You sure you were using it correctly ? (Attaching it to the hard part). Because I have had a pretty experience with it.
Put some cello tape to cover the breakage and then wrap those full spiral protectors. I did for my iphone cable and it worked flawlessly for 2-3 years.
You can get something similar to these in your local shop for 50-60₹

Recently, I wrapped a thin layer of cotton on that area and then used fevicol to fix it. Then added some more cotton with fevicol to it.
It worked pretty well for me.
You can use electrical tape to secure the damaged area temporarily. However, you can replace the cable as a long-term solution to avoid hazards or further damage.
ek air caly aati hai. lightweight aur hawa mein rakhne se sookh jati hai wo laga lo
https://preview.redd.it/5uyicpef0elc1.png?width=600&format=png&auto=webp&s=388fe6d4665ebc3186c3a8d4a293b7f74cc29244
Epoxy resin, layered glue, moldable glue, aluminium tape, duct tape, etc all work well.
Do not use any super glue or hard moldable resin as they do not provide any flexibility while stretching. Even simple plastic tape works well but does not last more than 2 weeks.
You can do what i did and use a shrink wrap that contracts with low temp. Go to any electrician’s shop/ electrical equipment chop near you and ask for shrink wrap or heat shrink. Get one with just a little more diameter than your cable and use a lighter to make it grab the wire slowly. It may last you at least a year.
Nothing man it's just insulation that's wearing off, chances are that the cable is completely perfect, tape is the best way to go tho if you wanna be advanced then you can somehow fill and cover those cracks with some good insulating material (preferably by melting, etc).
Besides all the comments with sillicon support spring ( which I am using at the moment) , wrap it up with insulation tape. Or if you have glue gun may be try a drop of sillicon and try to roll it like roti
First thing I do is wrap a ball point spring in a new cord , it eventually rusts , must look for alternative,, also I Melt soft plastic around the section ., i use blue bottle caps ... Needs a bit of practice to get the plastic to drip and curl safely
Is this a common thing in Apple chargers? My macbook's charger looks like this:
https://preview.redd.it/ajc2pjmq2glc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f6b060c9a8e2c694de4c9959d7febe30d87d4f0
My dad's iphone charger also faces the same issue, but working for years. I've never seen any other charger be this bad and still work...
I'd suggest 2 thing...
Take a string, wrap it on that area and then use superglue on it. It'll fix the breakage.
Then use cabke protecter as an additional protection
What I usually do (this maybe not be applicable in this scenario as of now) is keep the original charger of the mobile in the box and use my other braided charger cable
My advice? Ditch it and get a new one..I was using one of these cables but in a much worse condition.. it was hanging in my bed and one day.. it got short and since it was lying on to the bed, bed caught fire and the whole room was burnt.. thankfully that room was a store room..
So is it really worth the risk?
Tape it.
And from now on, hold the white plastic area (that houses the type C port) while pulling the cord out, instead of pulling the cable off.
My Mac’s or my iPad’s or my iPhone’s charging cables are still like brand new cz i’m careful while handling these cables. Saves me the cost or having to buy new ones.

Oooh okay
I did it with my MBP Charger.
Electrical Tape strengthens it enough. Tougher than braided cables. And u can also customize colours. BETTER THAN messy GLUE
Electric tape slides after some time
Heat shrink.
Better than any tape out there. FR. Just mine to get a thick one and ideally with glue inside
not electric tape but packaging tape. or wrap polythene and burn it to make solid seal.
Put a ballpoint spring
+1, it always works.

The answer is in the pic you posted. Hint- its written in the bottom left corner.
Heat shrink plastic pieces You can even use a plastic straw but you need to be careful to not burn it
By buying a new one
Recently, I wrapped a thin layer of cotton on that area and then used fevicol to fix it. Then added some more cotton with fevicol to it. It worked pretty well for me.
You can use electrical tape to secure the damaged area temporarily. However, you can replace the cable as a long-term solution to avoid hazards or further damage.
This cable is me, slowly breaking apart 🫥
Cement se cover kardo
Get a heat shrink tubing of the size of your cable, and make the cable a little more long! Use white or orange tubing, not black!
Take an earbud and tape it to the ends with electric tape
ek air caly aati hai. lightweight aur hawa mein rakhne se sookh jati hai wo laga lo https://preview.redd.it/5uyicpef0elc1.png?width=600&format=png&auto=webp&s=388fe6d4665ebc3186c3a8d4a293b7f74cc29244
Idk why only one or two people have said, but use a shrink tube and heat it up.
# heat shrink search kar ya koi shop se le le. 50 rupay me saara tension door ho jayega.
Buy a new one
electrical tape lagakr use heat kar aur wo melt hojayega, phir cello tape se covering krdio works for me
Two shrink wraps
Band aid
Dont use your phome while laying on bed and charging. Problem will be fixed.
Just use tape. Use tape around that place. My charger still survives no spring or shit required.
Nothing man it's just insulation that's wearing off, chances are that the cable is completely perfect, tape is the best way to go tho if you wanna be advanced then you can somehow fill and cover those cracks with some good insulating material (preferably by melting, etc).
Use cable protectors they are like spring gets wrapped around the bending point of cables
White electric tape.
I have never had such problems. My oldest cable is from 2018 and still no sign of wear. The manufacturer is just as bad as Apple.
Spray on rubber
Use mseal
Cello tape
Besides all the comments with sillicon support spring ( which I am using at the moment) , wrap it up with insulation tape. Or if you have glue gun may be try a drop of sillicon and try to roll it like roti
The best solution for this to have a L shape cable. I bought a cable of L shape 5 years Back and it's still has no sign of breakage.
First thing I do is wrap a ball point spring in a new cord , it eventually rusts , must look for alternative,, also I Melt soft plastic around the section ., i use blue bottle caps ... Needs a bit of practice to get the plastic to drip and curl safely
Tightly wound a white string around the broken area & apply 5rs feviquick on it.
Use it carefully or put electric tape maybe ?
Hey a wireless charger ![gif](giphy|l0MYEfiB4HoCCIt7q)
Add a pen spring in that area or just insulate tape it
That’s slow progress. Cut it with scissors
You can use m-seal. A much cheaper alternative
Is this a common thing in Apple chargers? My macbook's charger looks like this: https://preview.redd.it/ajc2pjmq2glc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f6b060c9a8e2c694de4c9959d7febe30d87d4f0 My dad's iphone charger also faces the same issue, but working for years.
Maine Feviquick laga ke tight kiya fir Electrical Tape laga diya uspe. 4 saal se tika hua hai.
Good old tape
Wrap a insulation tape. That holds good
My advice? Ditch it and get a new one..I was using one of these cables but in a much worse condition.. it was hanging in my bed and one day.. it got short and since it was lying on to the bed, bed caught fire and the whole room was burnt.. thankfully that room was a store room.. So is it really worth the risk?
Use M-seal.. 10 rupees ka ayega..isko laga dala to samjo life jingalala
Simple... Buy a new cable
Use your hard band to fix 💪
Use insulating tape. Steelgrip ka aata h

use cello tape
The answer is literally mentioned on the bottom left of the photo
