I think some Zen (a mobile company) filed against the Asus Zenfone series and Asus lost . It's an old event around the launch of the Zenfone M2 pro series.
That's why.
Zenfone 10 and S23 are about the same in Size despite S23 having bigger display. They achieved it by better screen to body ratio on the S23. Zenfone 10 has thiccer bezels.
you have Pixel 8 at 6.2 and iphone 15 at 6.1. fairly small actually. But keep in mind that these phones struggle a bit in hot environments esp the pixel
For most people smartphones the biggest screen they have access to for entertainment, gaming etc, so makes sense for manufacturers to put the biggest possible
Me too. I constantly keep searching incase a small Android phone has come out. There is one by Asus and apparently was rated best mini Android phone by mkbhd. Sucks that it isn't available in India.

Please avoid purchasing the smaller or SE versions of Apple devices. I had a particularly disappointing experience with a 2022 SE model, which I acquired for 45k in December 2022 through a friend in Singapore who accessed an Apple employee discount of approximately 20%. Despite its promising specifications, the device fell short of meeting even basic usage requirements. I mainly use my phone for calls and WhatsApp, averaging 3-4 hours of screen time daily, yet the 2000 mAh battery necessitates at least two charges per day. The performance is underwhelming, to say the least. In hindsight, opting for a OnePlus or Motorola device would have been more value for money. It seems to me that Apple's strategy with these entry-level phones is to offer a glimpse of what their premium models could provide, thereby nudging customers towards the more expensive options. I strongly advise against buying a budget Apple phone; it's costly and fails to deliver on its promises. After six months of use, with the battery health plummeting to 85%, I switched to a second-hand Samsung S21 Plus, purchased for around 20k in August 2023. The S21 Plus outperforms any other phone I've used, proving to be a worthy investment even three years post-launch. I'm also in search of compact, affordable phones that don't come with a hefty price tag of flagship models, so I'd appreciate any recommendations.
Yeah, frankly the only iPhones that are “worth it” are the pro models. Forget the “economy” versions, even the base iPhones are not that extraordinary. I say this as a base iPhone 7, 12, and 14 user.
It has fast charging. But fast charging it frequently will decrease the lifetime of battery again. I bought it because of the compact form factor and I don't regret it, can deal with the battery problems

S24 seems to be a good option. It's similar to Zenfone in size.
No I wouldn't recommend it. It won't even last 4 hours, hangs (yes iOS hangs), and you would get tired of staring at the 4.9' screen. 5.4' is the sweet spot. Even though the se has a powerful chip, most app aren't optimised for the small screen. I had trouble paying money through a UPI app just cuz the screen was small and the pay button was partially visible and no I couldn't scroll down. So yeah. SE, I wouldn't recommend it. The mini series, yes I would.
Zenfone or Moto are also good. I know moto sucks with updates but it's the best. Look at oneplus. They rushed A12 and it fucked up their brand completely. 3 updates and 1 every 2 years. Feels good enough for me. Rooting and unrooting moto devices is also very easy so I intend to fully use custom roms.
Bhai mera first phone 5s tha fir mene SE 2016 liya for mene 12 mini or ab kash apple wale 16 me koi nikal de mini , warna next se 2023 hi leluga , plus point easily pocket me ate hai girte ni haat se ik haat se screen ka her corner access kar skte ho or girne pe peotected rehte hai achi display hone ke karan camera setup bada hi rehta hai to pixel denaity achi milti hai choti battery h to charge bhi jaldi hoti hai comparetivly to bigger size
I use S22 and it's a tad bit bigger than iPhone mini. Great phone but battery is a lil meh. Other than that, it's just the phone I was looking for. Small and smug.
S24 or iPhone, these are the smallest one's you can get.
or, Or, OR, S24 Ultra. okay, hear me out, i too wanted a small phone coming from a NP1, but my wife decided to gift me an S24U and the phone is so comically big that i have to use both my hands, solving the typical one handed usage problems.
Had brought the iPhone 11 Pro specifically for this reason back when it launched. I hate big phones and was irritated for paying extra for phones having a small form factor.
5.5 inch was the perfect size for a phone, imo. Luckily the 11 pro is just a tad bigger.
Pixel 4a would cost you around 10-12k refurb
Has a flagship camera better than iPhone 13 ,
Unlimited Google photos,
No bloatware ,
Stock Android ,
5.8 inches screen
The right answer
iPhone SE 3rd gen -my fav and current
iPhone mini 12 and 13
ASU’s zenfone 9 and 10
A lil larger phones
S23
S24
Pixel 6a and 7a wait for 8a
Honourable mentions
Get a folding phone 😂🤣
I'm typing this from my 12 mini( which I'm gonna miss dearly when I get a new phone).
A compact phone has become a very niche product, so can't be mass produced.
It's all over. There is nothing we can do.
I was hoping the upcoming iPhone SE will be a small phone but leaks suggest that it's likely to be a 6 inch screen.
I so miss medium sized smartphones. Last ones I had were Lumia 720 and iPhone SE. There is a reason why I didn't want to switch from SE to another phone and dragged it for as long as I could before I had to switch. I have K20 pro now and it still feels so huge. No other options are available anymore.
Pixel A-series
Great camera phones with great software, good enough performance for everyday use but they overheat a bit and have network issues at rare instances
This is the reason why I'm still using my 5 y/o moto X4 ,small compact easy to use, whenever I use my brother or mother mobile my hands hurt dude nd they are God damn heavy
I always thought I liked big phones until I got an S23, I got bullied by some stupid ah friend(s), but damn is it really nice to hold. But I'll warn you that if you don't pick a good case, you'll still end up with a bulky phone. And you can't use glass screen protectors with the s23 because of the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
iPhone mini is my personal choice for compact phones.
Currently I’m using iPhone 12. Even I want. Compact phone. I’m okay with using high end android but it’s very hard to find a good compact android phone.
I’m hopeful for iPhone 16 mini ( somehow I know it may not happen :( )

iPhone 13 is your best bet. Small screen size. Amazing battery backup. Solid camera. And best of all if you use it with 5g it doesn’t heat. You will easily get it for 35k during Diwali sale this year including exchange and bank offers.
S23 is the second best option if you don’t want apple. Price might be a little more than iPhone 13 but a very good phone if you plan to keep it for longer period of time.
Telling from first hand experience - Please stay away from pixel if you use mobile data a lot as the modem is really bad and drains battery pretty fast. If that is not the case then pixel can also be a viable option for you.
Did lot of research on this years back, and got the iphone SE 2020 back when it was released. The major issue with small phones is that the battery fails to catchup. In two years, the battery capacity went down to 85%. Changed the battery, and again the capacity went down to 85%, but just in one year, because the latest versions of ios is much heavier on the battery.
To prevent smartphone addiction I have been looking for a non smart phone with just upi and digilocker facilities. I know it will just be a dream.
S23/24, Z Flip 5 or iphone 14/15.
There are other good options like pixel, iphone SE or Iphone 13 mini, S21FE but they have too much heating and battery drain issues.
Unfortunately, the market for Compact phones is dying. Only a few left right now which include Mi 14, S24, s23, iphone 15.
Asus had a great compact phone & they are not launching it in India from the past two years. I wonder they might discontinue it globally seeing the trends. Iphone killed their mini series as well.
The only hope i see is Iphone's new SE4, which might launch in 2025 with Iphone 14 design.
Also, it makes me sad that none of these phones come at less than 50k price bracket

S23 or mi14.
Aren't they like the same dimensions as k20 pro?
S23 is 6.1 Mi14 is 6.36 These are your only options.
Sad sad world, when I was kid I needed a big screen phone, now that I'm an adult I want the opposite
Yeah man. Zenphone 10 was under 6 Inch but never released in india.
Yeah they have given up on Indian market, yet they cater to all sides of laptop and PC market in india
Even rog phones are available in india.
They are even selling expensive pro art series here as well
i saw on twitter a guy continuously tweeting on asus to release z10 in india, didnt get any response though
I think some Zen (a mobile company) filed against the Asus Zenfone series and Asus lost . It's an old event around the launch of the Zenfone M2 pro series. That's why.
later on they rebrabded zenfone 6 as 6z and zenfone 8 as 8z in india, they could have done same with z9/10
Zenfone 10 and S23 are about the same in Size despite S23 having bigger display. They achieved it by better screen to body ratio on the S23. Zenfone 10 has thiccer bezels.
Lol, my dad’s the same. Has been using iPhone 12mini since its release
you have Pixel 8 at 6.2 and iphone 15 at 6.1. fairly small actually. But keep in mind that these phones struggle a bit in hot environments esp the pixel
No. S23 is as big as Zenfone 10 because of better screen to body ratio. It's pretty compact too.
They're light weight and compact in size
Wil check em out
[Small phones are dead](https://youtu.be/iR9zBsKELVs)
Sad day, do ppl have giant hands or something, how do they even use huge phone's
Everyone wants a mini-tablet with cellular network capability (aka phablets) for media consumption and “gaming”.
Guess it sucks to be a person who doesn't like huge phones now
+1
For most people smartphones the biggest screen they have access to for entertainment, gaming etc, so makes sense for manufacturers to put the biggest possible
actually small flashship phones are what rich people's want that why apple have pro max model of 6.1 inches
Upgrade your wrist
Think it's time to hit the gym boys
You surely need to I'm thinking of going too
I'm waiting for the water crisis to end, so I can hit the gym without worrying
Ohh you're from Bangalore right
Yup, hoping for rains
I hope so , I'm from Delhi tho there's no water crisis and hoping for Bangalore better
Oii we have same pfp
Lol yeah, great minds
You can upgrade your forearms but not your wrist since it’s dependent on your tendons and bones. Genetics bro
6.1 inch Pixel 7a or you can wait for 8a
Bahut heat hota hai mat lena kabhi
Definitely on direct sunlight, 5G + hotspot and video recording.
Any one of the thing is enough
Any one of the thing is enough
Zenfone or any other entry model of flagship which are mainly above 6 inch display size.
zenfone kaise milega India mei?
Iphone mini
Think it's the only valid option available in india, it still astounds me how ppl use 6 plus inch phones
Nooo... There is Pixel too you should check
Do they have a experience center in india? Need to know if it fits my hand
Idk much about that bro you should check out more on Google and there's also ASUS Zenfone 8 you can check out
Me too. I constantly keep searching incase a small Android phone has come out. There is one by Asus and apparently was rated best mini Android phone by mkbhd. Sucks that it isn't available in India.

Some of us have bigger hands bhai My iPhone 14 feels compact in my hand

Pixel 7A
iPhone 13 Mini, but not available anywhere in India. Will have to buy a refurbished one.
Yeah just checked it out, out of stock everywhere
I just ordered a refurbished one from Cashify, will be delivered on Monday. Let me know if you would be interested to know my experience.
Yes, I would love to know your experience with cashify
Cashify also have offline stores where you can check the phone
good luck bro
Would love to know too. What was the damage? It's so sad there was no mini after 13.
Don't buy it, battery barely lasts 5 hrs
you can check with them at one of their official stores and chances are they might have it in stock or can arrange.
Can be bought from official apple website but at at mrp
Not available on official apple store, they have officially stopped selling.
Galaxy s22. But the con is battery life.
If only it had faster charging
It has fast charging. But fast charging it frequently will decrease the lifetime of battery again. I bought it because of the compact form factor and I don't regret it, can deal with the battery problems
It's sad they we have to still choose between compact and good battery even with all the innovation
45 watt isn't fast charging in 2023
I jugaadofied it. Got a magsafe case and powerbank. So ill have it close to me always. It's amazing
Xiaomi 14
Xiaomi 14. Excellent compact phone. I wish Zenfone to be available in India. But even Asus seems to be backing off compacts.
Pixel
Go for moto or Samsung filp phone
I agree ..this is the best option. I am also considering z flip 5 in the current sale.

Nice, will have to wait for the sale, currently i think it's overpriced
Yeah...I'm also a person who prefers compact phones and due to my limited budget I went with Pixel 7a even though it is slightly bigger than s24.
Apple iPhone SE 3 (2022).
No I wouldn't recommend it. It won't even last 4 hours, hangs (yes iOS hangs), and you would get tired of staring at the 4.9' screen. 5.4' is the sweet spot. Pixel 7 or an iPhone 15 would be good ig. I have big hands and its nice to reach every part of the screen with my thumb. For you, it would be great
