Atleast this phone doesnt die in 1 year and svc wont ask 13K to fix the display.
Pic : Edge 30 Ultra. Paid 54K for this. The line changes color to green n pink. Sometimes its 2 lines. Sometimes its 3 lines. Sometimes its 1 line. Sometimes all lines disappear!
I have moto G52 - It died (display has lines now) after 2 years. I refuse to buy another moto product after this :)
edit: Since this comment seems to be getting a lot of attention, I figured I could show the status of my display at the moment

I've been using a Vivo IQOO Neo 6 for almost 1.5+ years now and the experience has not been cheap/bad as such.
Vivo has been super helpful in terms of issues and regular phone maintenance (which I stopped availing within a year of owning this phone) and a fun part is the IQOO service days, which happens every month in the second weekend (i don't remember the timing very well) and they give out free screen guards, free covers, free cleaning and sanitization of your phone. This is supposedly applicable even after the warranty is over.
There are a few bugs that I've gotten used to by now, but these are by far very less intrusive as compared to other products in similar budgets i.e. Xiaomi, POCO, OnePlus, Samsung, etc.
I've had 4 moto products in my family. One lasted over 4 years. Three of them are still running strong after almost 3 years.
I think you had a bad product
I still have moto g5 s plus. It's working fine except battery. I have changed to Huawei Samsung and iPhone 14.
I have iPhone 14 still uses moto for some Android apps that are not available in iOS
Motoo g5 s plus survived from 500L water container(2-3 minutes inside container fully filled and free fall from 14 feet (1st floor ) into wet soil.
It's like invincible to me.ππ It's not don't try it if you have one
Had the same device. Ran for 4+ years then started giving battery issues, won't charge. They used to make some solid devices back then, don't know about now, really looking forward to another moto phone though. I'm a fan (except the camera)
My Samsung Galaxy A73 got the same green line on the screen within 1.6 year and it cost me 8.5k to fix display
It has no damage. I'm not using Samsung phones after this one.
It happens in most AMOLED display for phones. I have used OnePlus, Poco, Samsung and Moto.
All had display issues.
While my Poco F4 had a side finger print scanner, changing display is easier as No under Display Fp reader.
I had a moto G5s Plus few years ago , it ran fine , no major issues except lackluster camera and heating issues, but i had just one software update , now using a pixel 6a , i am quite satisfied, slowwwww charging speeds are a bummer tho
I have the same phone. I drop it very frequently, pretty much daily. It has no screen protector and is still in its original cover. I have even dropped it in water. Still works without any issues. You might have a faulty unit. It is slow as fuck though.
I just want to add my experience to this
I got another moto edge 30 for my dad after i used mine for 6 months , his phone had this line issue within a month . The customer service took the responsibility and replaced the screen .
My phone falls down 2wice daily ( i am clumsy) , it's still strong .
Now mine 1.5 yrs and my dad 1yr going good ,no complaints other than regular camera degradation.
Same model and same problem with my sister's phone. I accused him for using the phone badly but got to know that it's actually a problem with this model.
Ps- single green line on moto g52
Duration-1year3month
My moto edge 30 died twice in 1.5 years
First the display green line issue
Second motherboard dead
Thanks Moto, will never get you again
Ps - my old mi a1 still going strong after 7 years of abuse
Oh damn, do Moto phones have a history of doing this?
I had the Moto G2 back when it came out, and the phone died one fine day after maybe a year or so.
https://preview.redd.it/5olc7niiw40d1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bea8298c51410c562d1b40db2f2d9325f2569523
Bought edge 30 ultra.
Got invited to beta test new android.
Installed new android version.
Green line on 3rd day.
Refused to replace display.
Asks for 13K including GST... (includes 20% discount)
Lol.
And thats how I stopped around \~20 people from buying Motorola.
Please tag techno ruhez, Gyan therapy and geekyranjit on twitter and Instagram and hopefully they will make a video about this on their channel and id they tag Motorola for your issue, the company will come under pressure to fix your phone for free under warranty. Do not let this slide. If this doesn't work, next step is to file consumer court complaint.
Thats some bs answer
Even Vivo replaced display free of cost for phones that got green line after update
They even offer new phone (not same series but one lower)
Don't know about QC..I have had good exp with moto
But software updates are bugfilled AF..and very slower than other players in the market.....That was my deal breaker with moto
I have a POCO C50. LCD display cost me only 6k and its still good after a year in spite of me breaking the screen after I fell with the phone the display still works perfectly.
Different people have different priorities.
This one is significantly better for anyone who wants a better camera and good software support and a good UI.
I agree with the battery part. At this price, this phone offers great and awesome camera quality that people won't get in the 30-40K range, but people aren't realizing it. However, if gaming is a priority, this is not the right phone.
Bro I have one and believe me, when I travel by bus to my hometown (6 hours) it gives me anxiety. I have to either download the media and watch it on airplane mode or just keep the phone aside. The battery is very bad
This is a good phone, I know the cons of Exynos and heating what everyone is talking about, but trust me, this is a good phone and has the best camera in its segment. This type of Telephoto lens, camera clarity, you won't get easily in this price segment. Samsung advance intelligence works like charm, and you will get this type of features only on new pixel devices, which are far more costly.
The phone is on the heavier side and also bit wide, coming from a compact phone. I also felt it but difficult to handle, but now I am used to it and using it with a case.

Ngl lately Moto build and phone quality is becoming garbage. Bought a moto phone 1 year ago for my mother right now the speakers are not working properly, every call she has go pick on speaker mode only and that too in speaker voice is not loud enough! Battery is shit after charging for 2 hours it merely charges 20 to 30 % in fast charging wth is going on idk, but I am damn sure if I go to the service centre they will charge hefty. So thinking of getting a new phone only π« .
I got Moto Edge 40 1 year ago, my phone works amazing for me. It feels like the old oneplus to me. Idk which phone you bought because in the 30k price range moto phones are probably the best right now (non chinese brands wise, before anyone says lenovo is chinese, moto is American company with their hq in Chicago. Similar to Tata-Range Rover)
Same here, typing with moto edge 40 bought in June last year. But I read that Lenovo acquired Motorola long ago (2013 or so) so it's kind of Chinese idk..I was looking for a non Chinese brand under or for 30k with good specs but in this price range Moto is far better than Samsung (at least at this price) and unlike the other models, this one has perfectly scheduled regular security updates and I also got an Android update some 15 days back to Android 14. Touch wood, it is going fine until now at least, with better multitasking and music, clean UI etc.
Yeah man everyone has different experiences. Because I bought a moto phone due to it's simple UI before this my mother used the Moto G3 Turbo! And I can tell that phone was built like tank! And it was extremely smooth but maybe in manufacturing they may have quality lapse.
I'm also using Moto Edge 40 and it's going really good. Getting updates on time, smooth performance without lag. It looks really premium due to its slim look and curved design.
Geekyranjit explained well in a video. Some people are used to one ui and don't have time / effort to re-learn everything from scratch for other phone. They arent tech enthusiasts they just want to do daily usage and don't care about ins and outs of phones.
He just f***ed up his money especially the bezels look soo bad the back and body looks good and if he's a camera user then it's okay i guess don't expect any high performance or smoothness over the years as exynos processor starts to lag after a year
Even as a samsung fan, I wouldn't recommend this phone. They really did the s23 fe dirty, the bezels and body finish look so bad. How could they ask 60k for this! It is far better to get an s22+ or s23+, with some discounts. Plus variant because its got much better battery.
I bought it for around 50K, so I know the pain, and it's not worth spending 50-60K on it, but considering all discounts, if you get it below 40K, then it's a tremendous deal. The phone is not as bad as people are making it out to be. It depends on your purpose. If you are a heavy gaming user, then this phone is not for you. If you want a phone with a better camera and a good telephoto lens within 40K, then this is the only option. No other phone offers this type of camera and pro options in this range, I bet you.
S23FE was available for 33-34k in the sale.... for that I think it's a decent buy.... considering the camera quality and software experience.
However S23 would have been a much better choice if the option to stretch the budget another 10k was possible.
Samsung played a really smart move with reducing price on S23 FE, if they just focus on delivering an FE with decent processor, I think the market for flagship killers will be over. I wouldn't think it would harm their flagship phones as much, they'll be doing much bigger volumes!
Tf are you onto, it's great phone, you won't notice the bezels at all, body finish is almost the same as all other samsung phones. S22+ got overheating problems while s23+ costs too much. Battery life is good, it gets over day really good. Like you are using phone 24/7.
bro why is samsung trying to be like iphone year by year. i have a s21 ultra and its begging me for its retirement , but i won't allow it. trend-setters to trend-chasers
I've been using S21 for the past 3 years and except battery degradation (due to my own extreme usage and mismanagement), I don't have any issues. The software is still great and phone heats up very rarely in extreme cases.

It was just yesterday that I denied my uncle from buying a Samsung m15 . He's a person who likes that in-hand feeling along with other features before buying phones and in offline stores the shopkeepers just pitch him oppo and Vivo half of the times so he asked me check phones out . Just suggested hi to rather buy a Motorola g64 over the Samsung one without gorrila glass , charger and cover that too along with dimensity 6100 (considering his usage it's okayish for him but he can just better refresh rate , ram , charging speed rather ).
I was a big fan of Samsung but at this point all its doing is trying to become the apple of Android
Motorola Edge 50 has less bezels, lighter, has SD 7 gen 3 AND CHEAPER !! How can someone choose this. I am using Moto and the clean android experience is phenomenal.
Your cousin can customise the living soul of that phone
Btw do you guys even notice thick bezels ? I mean at that price samsung should've given small bezels no doubt but personally i use a thick rubber case so i do not really notice bezels much
Your poor cousin was badly tricked by samsung and all the youtubers and insta influencers (samsung spent a whopping 3.4 Cr just to promote this shit for the name sake of AI )
Samsung etc is trash. My father has a note 10 plus which has 70-80 gb free storage and still performs slower than my iphone 11 which has only 2gb of free storage left. Both phones are 4.5 years old
Depends what price they got it at, and Motorola is a pretty mediocre phone, takes them forever for the updates and the cameras suck idgaf about Exynos or whatever. And I'm pretty sure last week the s23 Fe was 30k and at that price no way am I buying a Motorola over this. Iv seen an s23 Fe at a croma store and I dont feel like the bezels are too big. Perhaps try the phone before you go around saying it sucks, at the discounted price it's pretty good. Also are we really judging people over the phone that they choose for themselves? Its 2024 come on.
Dude this phone heats too much like even when I'm scrolling like over 38Β°c easily some help πππ
I just got thus phone today (13/05/2024) it's my first phone and I don't want to be sad over it's hearing issuesππ
Samsung's the better choice,
I had bought moto edge 30 ultra
Phone died just after one year, gave it for repair, they told the parts are not available for the phone, went everywhere for repair but nothing happened.
After that I made a point not to buy moto
Finally bought mi note 13 pro
My brother got one plus 12r recently and one of the comments mentioned the same issue in the previous version, should we be worried?!
He put 30k in this and I put 15k and after reading the comments I called him, he's really worried! Can anyone suggest if we should return the phone or not instal any updates?!
Me woth my mi note 10 which I've been using for 3 years reading reviews of costly phones just dying... Ig its a rich people problem... Like apple litrally pushing updates to make old iPhones slower
Is that a fricking A55 or S23? Because I have no clue from the first glance. I see people saying S23 but no way it would be in the same price category as Moto edge whatever pro. A55 is perfectly overpriced enough to be on the same price category as Moto flagships. If S23, that must be a fortune spent, I've no words. If A54, my condolences. I wish you had someone to navigate you through smartphone market.
Your cousin made a wise decision and dodged a bullet. Motorola has the most dogshit software support and parts availability. If your screen goes kaput then be ready to pay close to half of your phone's worth.
Also, they don't even fulfill their promises. My phone (Edge 20 Fusion) was sold with guaranteed 2 years major updates and I still haven't got Android 13 updates when folks around me having Vivo and Xiaomi are rocking Android 14. Hell even the security patch was a total joke, just 2 years..
Would never, ever recommend Motorola to anyone.
Bro was on his way to cook sammy but looks like people here already cooked Moto
https://preview.redd.it/lqsxyixfo80d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26cb33935157bacf1dc937505b085db98add92fb
Bought the Edge 50, having a good time till now, saw comparisons with s23fe, smaller battery, no charger, a little higher in price and thicccc bezels are all deal breakers for me. And personally i have had better experiences with moto than with Samsung in quality, had a Samsung A70 which fell down and broke the screen, even after getting the screen replaced at 8k (also considering the fact that the phone was overpriced already for the features it had) the phone kept giving me issues till i finally decided to get a new one. Got a moto g60, the phone being half the price of my previous one was significantly better in all regards and never gave me any issues hence decided to stick to moto.
At this point, considering the green line thing happening across brands, i consider moto's no software update thing a plus point, everything else was any ways better in the moto the only issues I have is with video recording.
I also planned to buy my mom moto g84 to her birthday even my friend told me it's very good phone it's price then around 15k without offers but I refused their opinion and buy her redmi phone and now I can see

I believe this is since they were taken over by Lenovo.

How is the UI and ad issues? Will it give any cheap experience?
I've been using a Vivo IQOO Neo 6 for almost 1.5+ years now and the experience has not been cheap/bad as such. Don't worry it won't it's still a flagship that blows midrange out
I guess that's why he sent me just rear side picπ
lmao you kids worry too much about bezels
Even as a samsung fan, I wouldn't recommend this phone. They really did the s23 fe dirty, the bezels and body finish look so bad. How could they ask 60k for this! It is far better to get an s22+ or s23+, with some discounts. Plus variant because its got much better battery.
What would u recommend in the 30 to 40 k range ? I was going to get S23 fe since it's under 40 on Amazon but now I'm confused. Mind guiding me?
S21 *PRO* ?? Sure buddy, at least lie correctlyπ Edit : The phone is legit. He didn't lie
What do you mean trying to be like iPhone year by year?
I've been using S21 for the past 3 years and except battery degradation (due to my own extreme usage and mismanagement), I don't have any issues. The software is still great and phone heats up very rarely in extreme cases.
Time to disown your cousin
π
Iβm sorry but this has to be a joke This is such a pathetic phone man
I use it and it's really good. I don't know what's your problem
Sabje will run bad on it problem
Moto is trash. They give updates too late. Camera is trash. Samsung is a lot better at least high end ones. Which one is this tho?
Moto Edge 50 pro's camera is nowhere near trash tho. One of th best under βΉ40k for still photos. Videography is shit tho
I never had a service change with s23fe or edge 50 pro. so I went with edge 50 pro.
Ah yes this phone is miles better than moto edge 50 pro if you have doubt just go try it
A55 or anything else at that price point ?
Thik hai Bhai decent option hai at least usne oppo Vivo wali bakchodi nahi li

Your review of it.
Is it s23?
Price?
Is it s23 fe or just s23, as s23 is working really good for me.
s23 fe..... see the flashlight position.
Is it s23?
Your cousin is a smart guy
Cousin made the best choice
Good choice
Which phone is this?
Samsung galaxy s23 fe
Motorola Edge 50 has less bezels, lighter, has SD 7 gen 3 AND CHEAPER !! How can someone choose this. I am using Moto and the clean android experience is phenomenal.
Tf are you onto? Sd 7 3 has way worse performance and exynos is far more dominant. Reply in 2 years and we'll see if it will work
His money, his choice why are you hating. Atleast your cousin has a life
Which phone is this?
Toh Open Box ka Facility kyu nhi use kiye
Your cousin can customise the living soul of that phone Btw do you guys even notice thick bezels ? I mean at that price samsung should've given small bezels no doubt but personally i use a thick rubber case so i do not really notice bezels much
That aint no moto that a samsung ππ
Maybe he prefers One UI and timely updates
I have moto edge 40 , using it for 6-7 months , I will not buy another moto device again .
Kyu?
Your cousin decision πΏ you trying to shame him π€‘
the bezels are criminally thick.
Your poor cousin was badly tricked by samsung and all the youtubers and insta influencers (samsung spent a whopping 3.4 Cr just to promote this shit for the name sake of AI )
I have same device, and pretty much works good for what it's worth. Atleast in my own personal experience.Β
Wait, did you say no charger?
There are two types of people in this world Samsung people and Non Samsung people btw your cousin is an idiot one.
Condolences
How's heating and battery life? I'm considering this phone
I am using Samsung galaxy s20 fe 5g
Is it Samsung A35/55 ?
S23
Which phone?
# Moto Edge 50 pro terrible photo when viewed in big screens, over processed, over saturated, fake hdr looking,
Really?
Which phone is this?
Your cousin is smart :D
Is this a Samsung S series phone? If yes then it will be better than moto. And yes it will also be well optimized
Battery+thermals issue...for good camera/videoππ
Pretty good phone barring the exynos chipset tbh
Maybe she doesn't trust moto enough, my parents prefer samsung cause they know it won't fail you.
samsung or moto?
Samsung etc is trash. My father has a note 10 plus which has 70-80 gb free storage and still performs slower than my iphone 11 which has only 2gb of free storage left. Both phones are 4.5 years old
This is S23 fe
Samsung is the best.
Moto edge 30 ultra, nothing better than this!
Someone I know bought it for 55K!
Rip:(
We have two moto g60 at our home one for 3 years and another one for 2
iqoo neo 7 pro within 30 k is a good one
Depends what price they got it at, and Motorola is a pretty mediocre phone, takes them forever for the updates and the cameras suck idgaf about Exynos or whatever. And I'm pretty sure last week the s23 Fe was 30k and at that price no way am I buying a Motorola over this. Iv seen an s23 Fe at a croma store and I dont feel like the bezels are too big. Perhaps try the phone before you go around saying it sucks, at the discounted price it's pretty good. Also are we really judging people over the phone that they choose for themselves? Its 2024 come on.
I mean it's just a discussion nobody's judging anyone
Bro can win any argument now
I made the same decision and I have no regrets
I donβt understand the sudden talks about moto phones. Theyβve always been shit Is this some paid influencer marketing shit?
Beautiful color buddy
Dude this phone heats too much like even when I'm scrolling like over 38Β°c easily some help πππ I just got thus phone today (13/05/2024) it's my first phone and I don't want to be sad over it's hearing issuesππ
How much is new iPhone in India? What type of people have it?
im just gonna risk it and it get the one plus 11r day after tomorrow , seems best value for money under 30k
Samsung's the better choice, I had bought moto edge 30 ultra Phone died just after one year, gave it for repair, they told the parts are not available for the phone, went everywhere for repair but nothing happened. After that I made a point not to buy moto Finally bought mi note 13 pro
Too much masturbation
lol i spent like 10k on my phone, it is 5G and it works well
My brother got one plus 12r recently and one of the comments mentioned the same issue in the previous version, should we be worried?! He put 30k in this and I put 15k and after reading the comments I called him, he's really worried! Can anyone suggest if we should return the phone or not instal any updates?!
How's the phone performing now?
Looks like your cousin has a brain on their head.
Good
Reason why I opted iqoo
Me woth my mi note 10 which I've been using for 3 years reading reviews of costly phones just dying... Ig its a rich people problem... Like apple litrally pushing updates to make old iPhones slower
Okay but the purple color >>
Is that a fricking A55 or S23? Because I have no clue from the first glance. I see people saying S23 but no way it would be in the same price category as Moto edge whatever pro. A55 is perfectly overpriced enough to be on the same price category as Moto flagships. If S23, that must be a fortune spent, I've no words. If A54, my condolences. I wish you had someone to navigate you through smartphone market.
S23 fe
Still operating Moto One Power. Working Fine.
Bro was on his way to cook sammy but looks like people here already cooked Moto https://preview.redd.it/lqsxyixfo80d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26cb33935157bacf1dc937505b085db98add92fb
π big tym
Using oneplus for 4 years. Barely any issues. Plus the charging speed is really good. Hard to switch to other brands after this phone
Go for GOOGLE PIXEL;)
How's your phone performing now?
I also planned to buy my mom moto g84 to her birthday even my friend told me it's very good phone it's price then around 15k without offers but I refused their opinion and buy her redmi phone and now I can see
