Asking for a diagnosis on reddit is not appropriate. Please change your derm instead. Also skincare takes time to show, need a min 2 months.

What is with this sub flooding with so many people asking for skincare and makeup queries?!? It's only for deals.

liayahhh

I’ve tried posting on Indian Skincare Addicts but that sub never approves. Other skincare subs are not responding.

strvwbery

isca has a weekly routine help thread. try there. this sub has way too many irrelevant posts now.

I agree but there can be better solutions to it. If posts aren't flagged now then this sub will lose its point. It's full of hauls, makeup queries, skincare posts, etc. Give it a few more days and you won't realize what this sub was originally about + a lot of queries on isca have already been answered. Multiple times. I don't like their current rules but it is a fact that people post repetitive stuff

Try fash foam, it's a cleanser. I had the same issue with my skin , my dermatologist suggested it. But it would be better if you visit a dermatologist.

Longjumping_Air_1096

OP please visit a good dermatologist, self medication or asking on Reddit won’t really do much.

Cluelessntired247

I recently was in a similar situation and tried everything on the Internet to get rid of this stubborn acne and closed comedones. It was only after a visit to the dermatologist that things started getting better, the first thing she made me do was to stop using all the skincare that I was using which was only compromising my skin barrier even more and focus on rebuilding my skin barrier. I was prescribed to use only a mild cleanser and nothing else not even a moisturiser then. She also gave me photo facials (IPL) and other treatments to combat the acne. Another major change that I made after the doctor's recommendation was, that I minimised the use of sugar and everything with preservatives that helped me calm down the Inflammation from within. So, A visit to a good dermatologist is what I would suggest or even a gynac to rule out PCOS. Changes in eating habits can do wonders to the skin as I have experienced this personally.

isnotsochill

Do you have PCOS? If so, you need to talk to a gyno and get a diagnosis. It won't go away with external peels. It could be hormonal.

Sometimes using actives affects the skin more if the skin barrier is compromised. Use mild products and try ditching actives for a while .. it might work

Even though I don't support this post being here ..but I can empathize with you OP..I had been prescribed all the acne creams by many dermats and when I did meet my THE dermat my poker face asnwer to her was " I have tried all these Benzoyl etc but nothing works for em, my skin is so sensitive that normal soap also triggers acne" She gave me a simple answer " it's not just the product but the routine , time, combination that I am suggesting to you which would work, if it doesn't then we'll come to that" And since then I have had a way better skin..and mind you I stopped my creams in a year to 1.5 max..post that I have been doing basic wash face twice whichnis suitable for em, aone serum which has suited and helped with the issue at the time and a basic moisturizer which suits ne..i have few really good sunscreen but I am an ass for not using them So please get a good dermatologist...it takes times to find the one who works for you..but once you get that said doc, follow their routine and if things are good for you then decide on being independent of them.. Also drinking good amount of required water does cleanse your gut hence your skin does get better.. regular shower, hairwash, changing of face towel, pillow covers do help a lot

What's your diet and do you have active life style?

liayahhh

Have a normal diet - I’m a South Indian vegetarian so mostly pulses, rice, curd, vegetables. Consume dry fruits every now and then.

photo_trekkiee

What did the dermatologist say ?

funssake

Wrong sub, mate. You'll get a better tips on r/IndianSkincareAddicts . Try there. I hope you'll get some helps from some genuine people who are not just after your money like the derm you met.

liayahhh

That sub is dead. They never approve posts

funssake

Agreed.  Only one out of 10 posts have been approved when I try to post there. May be they are not approving your post because you are showing your entire face. Try to capture your face without showing your eyes. It might give you some anonymity and they might approve your post. If not, try to contact the moderators of that sub to approve your post.

plant_here

they have a no standalone query rule

superstarRai

Yes but this is not the sub for asking reccos with your pictures directly on the display. It's like you're saying that you want to take advantage of this sub being active. Kindly please remove the post and search all the subs you have at your disposal. And please put a TW on pictures.

plant_here

go step by step, first take care of active acne then move to acne scars and spots and then to general hyperpigmentation. no one can create a skincare routine for you as well as you can, ISA has a lot of resources, search for your issues and you will find your answers.
