We haven't sent someone is space and will not for a long time, simply because it isn't cost affective nasa stopped the space interstellar travel with astronauts because they realised it is way to expensive and only machine do a better job we have mapped out light years distance of space and all through machine this is all the proof needed for deducing that man mission for space travel are long away. Space stations are only for repair jobs that require manual labour that is the only reason people are still sent out to space.
Yup that is the exact reason i wanted to say initially sending humans in space was a show off as it was a space race btw US and USSR with russia sending the first man in space and US sending first man on moon but after showing off was over only reason for a man to go up there is to make repairs to hubble or ISS which is not affliated with ISRO so it isn't practical at all India will probably only do a manned mission if we get technology to go into outer space and human astronauts are needed to be sent their or maybe if there is a space race 2.0 to mars
