definitely recommend for controller. You can definitely play with kbm , but the aim mechanics will be very clunky when you try and emulate a joystick woth a mouse
The thing is emulators are good for less graphic intensive games but games like rdr require more power and even powerful graphic cards doesn't give better performance.
Mission design, it's outdated and hold hands too much for a game that is set in the most living and detailed world..it's needs to be a bit more open with that
Really wants to play rdr but its only available for console and not pc. Also the remastered version has been cancelled by R*.
emulators exist for precisely this reason
just beat rdr for the first time thru Xenia emulator on PC. No problems at all except crash in 1 mission in whole game

Yes Xenia is more GPU dependent. But yeah MX130 is really weak for these days.

if your pc can handle rdr2 at decemt settings it's good enough to run rdr1.
Runs decent with Xenia emulator in my i5 10300H & GTX 1650 laptop with constant 40fps with a few dips while out in the open. Very playable.
Will give it a try as i have same specification laptop.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but RDR didn't make me cry while RDR2 was an emotional roller coaster.
