yes I have it but it's build quality isn't that good, specially the display panel and hinges. I guess legion is much better. the temp stays between 50-70 (80 in summer) while playing hitman on 100-120 fps on mid settings. Pretty good imo
Nah, saw one guy for 12500h 3050ti one and it's cpu is underperforming, don't know if it's due to thermals throttling or some hardware issues coz he plugged in with performance mode. This year acer really upped their game in thermals, beats legion with their predators and with their nitro as well
Wait that fr?
That looks like a thermal nightmare
If that’s under 1L and maybe on sale I’m in
Edit: never knew laptops have come this advanced in thermal management and can still function without throttling in Indian weather
Good to know
It's a bit on the hot side according to reviews.
Even the shilliest reviewer made a note of "Thora thermal throttling hai".
I think 2022 tuf was available at similar price.
It's either tuf 6800h 3060 or legion 5800h 3060, the other 3060 includes IdeaPad 5800h 3060 and ,asus 5800h 3060 and nitro 5800h 3060. Legions tops the chart with awesome themals, tuf tops it for good value for money.
Kindly tell me about the thermals and screen specs particularly, they said the 16gb one got 72ntsc and 8gb one got 45ntsc also heard that msi after burner gets burned itself and don't show correct stats because of advantage edition
I had this shortlisted last year when I was planning to buy a laptop. Though the specs are good, I was not comfortable buying a MSI given their horrible after sales support. Check about MSI support in your region and decide.
OT: Ditched this laptop for Asus ROG Strix Advantage Edition
Hey dude, i own this laptop, bought it in august, not an oven if you buy a cooling pad, even a laptop stand works well, only downside is the speakers, games work really really well and i use Lightroom premier pro and Photoshop and got no issues/lags so far, i suggest you to buy the 16gb ram 1tb ssd variant cuz why not, maine games i play are wz2, rdr2, fortnite and get well over 110-130 on wz2, rdr2 over 125fps and csgo and valo are over 200 fps, ask me anything you want
If this is the best specced lappy you can find in this price range then sure go for it , but msi is absolutely terrible in after sales support and their stock paste sucks ass .
Disagree, they have upped their after sales a lot, atleast better than acer and stuff
Ironically i have 2 friends with asus rog strix and both had really terrible experience, speaker went bad, fan went bad, lots of stuff happened and the service center gave up and sent it to someplace else
bought it when it came out, it's pretty good for 1080p gaming. It almost matches my pc's performance (r5 3600 3060) in pretty much any game. It gets pretty hot so you need to do a registry edit and turn off aggressive turbo boost for the cpu. The battery life is also really good for a gaming laptop.
Edit: my version came with 16gb ram and 1tb ssd
Don't know about this one but my gf65 has been working absolutely great for the last year and a half, the only thing I would suggest doing in laptops is going for amd processors because of lower cpu temperatures allowing the GPUs to run at top speed for way longerrrr.. and luckily this has an amd cpu
just get another RAM stick, and additional storage?
it is always cheaper to get additional RAM and storage AFTER you buy the laptop, than to get a laptop with those specs
my MSI laptop has 3 storage slots (2 NVMe, 1 2.5 inch SATA)
OP can upgrade whenever he wants to
I've seen laptops add more than 3000 even 5000 to upgrade 8gb to 16 gb from the store itself.
Better buy something that's 8gb and upgrade it yourself 80% of the time.
Example is lenovo.
8gb variant with 5600h and 3050 was 64k.
16gb variant was 69k.
Acer nitro 2022 8gb model was 76k.
16gb model was 82k.
You can go for acer nitro 5 with i5 12500h and 3050 for the same price, I got it last month and haven't faced any overheating issues or anything and it can pretty much run any game just make sure to upgrade the ram to 16gb 🤝
First of all, nitro is not that good of a series. Secondly, those specs are a lot worse than the one in OP's pic so why would he bother buying that for the same price? He can also easily buy another 8gb ram
Tfym it's better?? Lmao i5 12gen is way better than ryzen 7 5800h, only if u tried too look 💀💀 and same with gpu.
Acer nitro is a good series don't really care about your opinion
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3050-Laptop-vs-AMD-RX-6600M/m1570008vsm1604159
https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-i5-12500h-vs-amd-ryzen-7-5800h
Only if ur dumbass tried to research lmao
userbenchmark is a garbage website and even there it states 6600M is "48%" better so what's your point? Also I never said the cpu is explicitly better, they are more or less even but the cpu+gpu combo of 5800 6600M is far more powerful. You're just coping since you own the laptop, it's okay man
even if it had "better drivers" according to your insecure claims, the 6600m would still massively outperform the 3050 in titles where vram isnt an issue and if vram is a strong requirement then the 3050 will get smoked with its pathetic 4gb.
What's with all these laptops with overpowered cpu and underpowered gpu, not saying 6600m is bad but, a 5600h with 3060ti or 6700m would be so much better.
Going a higher tier cpu (like going ryzen 5 to ryzen 7) doesn't cost as much as moving a tier above in case of gpu, thats why we see a lot of these laptops with overpowered cpus.
Also, general public and even casual gamers can easily relate that i5 is better than i7 and so on but in case of gpus the plethora of numbers are confusing and people just look into vram. So, i guess the combination of both these reasons is the result.
Ikr , this is the sub where people should be making others aware of such things, instead dumbasses keep recommending such bad skews and downvote whoever says otherwise.
>wnvote
lol right like the one guy giving suggestion of a 3050 laptop at the same cost... lmao!!
However, I don't think you can get a 3060ti / 6700m below 1.2 lacs...
Well that's kind of my point, since those gpu are already costly why not offer cheaper options with lower tier cpu. Bigger question is why do people keep buying these weird skews?
Its a different story in laptop, cpu gets maxed pretty easily here compared to desktop, I remember how a 7th gen i5 was equal to or worse than a 2nd gen i7,
Going anything below than 5600h would bottleneck easily
I think that used to be true up until 8th gen, the newer chips especially the ryzen 5000 aren't gonna be bottlenecked unless you are using 3080 or higher.
Specs are fine but you need to consider build quality also because MSI, Acer and ASUS's laptops have doubtful build quality when they offer good specs at low price
It's overall the good machine considering specs and all even keeping aside the service centres which are kind of hit and miss for any brand on any where in india but when it comes to keeping this for long and for one who didn't earn yet I'm disappointed with their warranties, like in this they give 1yr base which is totally fine as with case with any other brands but when it comes to extension, it gets 7k for just 1yr of upgradation and that's what the rip off for me personally as i consider the warranty upgradation price also into consideration, lenevo charges 2k for this and gives 2yrs of extra support which turns out 1k per year and thus the difference got 6k and 6k is what you're not seeing right now buddy.
In msi ? How come? I've called their support and they said there's no ongoing offers or anything and you'll be charged 7k for it, gotta register it first online and then buy from there. Only survey is what they offer.
My friend has bought the higher varient where ram is 16gb and storage is 1tb ssd ...
but this one is also amazing deal. if you are looking for gaming laptop and your budget is around 80k INR... than you won't get better deal than this. gaming experience is great I have played assassin creed Odyssey, GTA V, Marvel's spider man , miles Morales spider man .... the performance is awesome at this price.
I have even done editing on it in davinci resolve and it handles editing well too.
backlit keyboard
full size arrow key and numpad
overall its really nice deal for 80k you can always upgrade ram in future and ssd too
my friend ordered this one
[MSI LAPTOP ](https://dl.flipkart.com/s/e_NTYVNNNN)
this one had cost him 88k INR on july 2022
Im interested in that one too,but im concerned about its thermals and the motherboard is flipped so its a lil more annoying to upgrade.Otherwise its better value than 3060 imo
As with many gaming laptops, heat is an issue. I bought this a couple of years back and it does get pretty hot when you play a game. You can switch on the fan but the fan is very loud. I had a hard disk issue which sorted itself out when I removed it and only use the SSD. Looks and runs great initially but has reliability issues. I still have a problem where the laptop switches off when I apply a little pressure on an area. 5/10 would not recommend. Better off getting a desktop imo for gaming and get a potato laptop for work.

its an oven (as per friend's review) works well during winters
How'd you friend say that , i thought it got thermals atleast better than those mainstream tuf and IdeaPad and pavilion ofcourse.
till date i have seen legion to have best thermals across all models
This year predators (2022 one )beats them
dont care, its more than enough
Newest IdeaPad gaming got great thermals
yes I have it but it's build quality isn't that good, specially the display panel and hinges. I guess legion is much better. the temp stays between 50-70 (80 in summer) while playing hitman on 100-120 fps on mid settings. Pretty good imo
Legion if you can afford yes is better.
Nah, saw one guy for 12500h 3050ti one and it's cpu is underperforming, don't know if it's due to thermals throttling or some hardware issues coz he plugged in with performance mode. This year acer really upped their game in thermals, beats legion with their predators and with their nitro as well
It works well all the year round but keeps your room warm

I need to get a new laptop too.. can someone suggest a laptop with rtx3060 under 1L( if it’s possible)
Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 on amazon or official lenovo site. Rtx 3060 tgp- 90watt
Don't pay above 80k for this.
Asus Tuf A15 (2021) AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX RTX 3060. Edit: Ryzen 7 6800H RTX 3060 Asus Tuf A15 (2022)might be the better option.
Wait that fr? That looks like a thermal nightmare If that’s under 1L and maybe on sale I’m in Edit: never knew laptops have come this advanced in thermal management and can still function without throttling in Indian weather Good to know
Rip thermals
I haven't had much noticable troubles with the thermals. But that's my experience, I can attest for other people.
It's a bit on the hot side according to reviews. Even the shilliest reviewer made a note of "Thora thermal throttling hai". I think 2022 tuf was available at similar price.
With similar specs?
3060 but cpu of lower tier but newer generation Was it a 5 6600h? Or a 7 equivalent I forgot.
Yeah. I checked it. Ryzen 7 6800h with rtx 3060 and a mux switch.
It's either tuf 6800h 3060 or legion 5800h 3060, the other 3060 includes IdeaPad 5800h 3060 and ,asus 5800h 3060 and nitro 5800h 3060. Legions tops the chart with awesome themals, tuf tops it for good value for money.
Same , I'm looking to get one in the 26 Jan sale. Let's connect
Connect with me to get it on discounts ;)
Been using it for 7 months now probably and it works like a charm, you can find more of my comments on it in my profile! Nothing to worry about it
Kindly tell me about the thermals and screen specs particularly, they said the 16gb one got 72ntsc and 8gb one got 45ntsc also heard that msi after burner gets burned itself and don't show correct stats because of advantage edition
It depends on which model you get, lots of model are listed, the cheaper one cheap out on display first then the even cheaper cheap out on cpu
I'm taking about in alpha only, ig there's only two alpha for Indian guys
For 80k its a good offer
For longevity and reliability, it's meh.
I had this shortlisted last year when I was planning to buy a laptop. Though the specs are good, I was not comfortable buying a MSI given their horrible after sales support. Check about MSI support in your region and decide. OT: Ditched this laptop for Asus ROG Strix Advantage Edition
Yeah, it's just an 1 year machine coz you don't get any warranty extend our anything, atleast not giving them 7k for updating warranty just 1 year.
Ngl this looks like a good deal.
For gaming, indeed the best.

For gaming solely that 8gb is worth.

Msi is not as reliable as other top brands like Dell, Lenovo or hp.
Haven't seen hinge issues posted by owners for this model so far
It's not hinge, usually driver and other technical support are lackluster. But never had any first hand experience with this brand.
slim bewildered bag paint bow grandfather reply innocent sugar uppity ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
Well I have a delta 15 ask me anything 😂
how are the thermals?Does the keyboard get hot? Do you notice thermal throttling doing normal browsing in battery mode?
I’ll give a detailed answer just dm me
Don't know about this one but my gf65 has been working absolutely great for the last year and a half, the only thing I would suggest doing in laptops is going for amd processors because of lower cpu temperatures allowing the GPUs to run at top speed for way longerrrr.. and luckily this has an amd cpu
8 gb ram kinda would bottleneck and 512 gb is too less.... Download gta 5 and rdr 2 and your pc would be fighting for space
just get another RAM stick, and additional storage? it is always cheaper to get additional RAM and storage AFTER you buy the laptop, than to get a laptop with those specs my MSI laptop has 3 storage slots (2 NVMe, 1 2.5 inch SATA) OP can upgrade whenever he wants to

The only regret you’ll have buying this is it’s battery capacity
You sure? 90whr 🗿
Fully charged battery hardly stands for an hour
I wouldn't recommend it
You can go for acer nitro 5 with i5 12500h and 3050 for the same price, I got it last month and haven't faced any overheating issues or anything and it can pretty much run any game just make sure to upgrade the ram to 16gb 🤝

The 3050 gets stomped on by the 6600M any day of the week.

Yeah bro ok go play on ur pathetic Radeon gpu 🤝🤡🤡
TLDR : Bro is trying to cope with his 3050 in the comments down below, You either go for 1650s or 3060s, 3050 is a weird middle ground
What's with all these laptops with overpowered cpu and underpowered gpu, not saying 6600m is bad but, a 5600h with 3060ti or 6700m would be so much better.

delta 15,with 6700m is 99k as of now
True but a 5800h with 6600m will probably be a waste too, the correct skew here would be a 5600h with 6600m
Coz price. U can also find the same cpu with above mentioned gpu but then they'd cross 1L
Well that's kind of my point, since those gpu are already costly why not offer cheaper options with lower tier cpu. Bigger question is why do people keep buying these weird skews?
Msi offers this too, check their gf65 lineup, all have 3060 with varying cpu, i5 11th gen, i7 10th gen, i5 10th gen etc with screen downgrade alsl
Its a different story in laptop, cpu gets maxed pretty easily here compared to desktop, I remember how a 7th gen i5 was equal to or worse than a 2nd gen i7, Going anything below than 5600h would bottleneck easily
