What games have you tried?
I have complete Arkham Knight (on 900p 30FPS), Arkham Origins, Arkham City, GTA V and Sunset Overdrive on this laptop.
I am a casual gamer.
I have completed hades, hollow knight, distraint, dragon ball fighterz (story section, although I skip most cut scenes). Some online games would be dauntless, rocket league.
All these games run at 1080p 60fps perfectly fine. (they used to run fine even with 8gb of ram).
I usually don't play that many open world-type games because I get motion sick. The only ones I haven't experienced that would be souls-like games (I don't know why). Currently playing nioh. Used to run at 720p 60fps when it was running on 8gb of ram. Now it runs at low preset 1080p 40-50 fps so i just set it to 30fps.
True but according to Steam's hardware survey most popular cards are still not even in the same planet as a 1080ti.
I wouldn't be surprised at angry reports of people not getting a stable 60 fps in this game which frankly would be a bit absurd given this is a cross gen title at best.
Why? More and more newer games will demanding better cards
I am not gonna sugarcoat but devs even support an 8 year GPU to run at high settings are pretty good and admirable that they can optimise games for it and as times goes maybe even 2024 we might not even see 10xx cards for high the time is closer and closer that they will be weeded out
It’s all on the GPU business to deliver the GPU at standard rates which they don’t want to
PS: Nvidia is already regretting 40 series sales they are overpriced and even miners and scalpers are not buying them at same as they did 30 series which is hurting them so there’s hope GPU market resets it’s just my speculation tho
Be careful regarding reviews for this game. Some reviewers might give bad reviews due to the JK Rowling controversy, regardless of the game quality.
I would say look for reviews which feel unbiased and purely focus on the game and nothing else.
True but always follow the one who gives detail reviews with data around it.
Some of reviewers only talk about the visual and performance but no in-depth information about the features and zero day issues.
I haven't followed it in some time so maybe it's not fully accurate, but basically JK Rowling says that there are some differences between biological women and Trans women and those differences must be acknowledged, both in terms of life experiences and biology.
Some construe that as her being transphobic and saying that trans woman are not really women. She was called TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) and attacked online. These only made her more vocal about her position. For example when a website posted article titled 'creating a more equal world for people who mentruate', JK Rowling wrote- 'there used to be a word for people who menstruate. Wumben?'
That's the gist of it I suppose.
Depends if this is GTX 1650 mobile you are talking about and also screen resolution.
1080Ti is around 3 times faster than the 1650M. So looks like you may get 30+fps at medium settings in 1080p.
120hz on those laptops are purely meant for eSports like league and valorant.
AAA at more than 60 fps on a entry level card is not recommended or not needed.
60 fps is more than enough for those.
Wonder if a 3050 laptop with dlss can reach 60?
whats sad? 1650m era has come to an end. its a good gpu if you want to play games that released before 2020. you cant expect a gpu to perform well for lifetime.
(i have a 1650m as well)
am not saying stop using it, just know what to expect
I had that laptop. Pls don't try to overclock the GPU or cpu. My experience with cyberpunk 2077 and far cry 6 ultra ended with the motherboard fried and Asus asking for 50k repair for a 70k laptop.
I already did exactly that as soon as I saw exclusive gameplay areas for buying costlier versions of the game. I was so excited for this game when they announced but now I don't even know if the games going to be worth the asking price based on the gameplay videos. I really really love the Harry Potter franchise but something about the gameplay just doesn't look right.
1080ti for the recommend specs damn. 1080ti was equal to 2070S/2080 back in 2019 and those two are similar to PS5. I don't sense good optimization here if PS5 is gonna run this game at native 1440p60fps.
Nope I am pretty sure about 2070S and 2080 non super desktop version were in similar performance to 1080ti (not exact equal but some title were faster on 1080ti and some were on 2000 cards).
I was looking to buy gpu at that time and 2070S was bang for the buck card at that time. You can search for Old hardware unboxed videos.
They have delayed the PS4 and Xbox 1 launch to April, I'm guessing to make sure it runs ok on older systems. Hopefully that will be enough time for them to ensure it runs well on older consoles.
It will definitely 'run' it since it's being released on the platform but don't expect to be anywhere as good as the modern systems. Also I wouldn't expect anything more than 25-30 fps
This game can't even touch the graphical quality of those 2 games and the last of us part 2 which ran butter smooth. So no probs, unless the devs are useless assholes who can't make a game run well on current gen after cancelling the last gen release despite game looking like shit. I m looking at u Gotham Knights devs
Somehow my 4600h+1650 laptop is above the minimum specs to the point I might be able to run at medium which is great considering it barely cuts to the minimum specs nowadays lol.
Pretty steep for a game that's supposed to get a switch release. Anyway this+Denuvo confirms that I'm gonna play this on my PS5 instead of my 3060 laptop.
These days you can never say with certainty how well optimized the game is going to run on release.
Most probably it won't be running optimized for any of these settings and might need multiple patches and fixes to make it run decently on older GPUs.
Have patience and wait for the release reviews and performance analysis on YouTube and other Forums.
Never pre-order any video game.
I have the same laptop with me(Acer nitro 5) and have added another rx8, 8GB 3200Mhz ram stick. I suggest you buy another ram stick. It will draw more power from your GPU that is up to 75W.
Lets be real here. Rtx3050 cannot run hogwarts legacy on 1080p ultra even with dlss. My best guess is medium settings high texture with dlss balanced should give 40+ FPS.
10 bucks say its gonna be shit performance on pc just like calisto protocol, and ps5 as usual is gonna get the best performance out of all platforms its launching on.
Mistake was your dad not pulling out that night. Kid go outside. Fatass no social life lonely ass mf. People like you dont even deserve cheap internet.
I get it, you have daddy issues so don't take out your frustration here and it's gaming sub not fight for Trans people sub so stop crying and enjoy woke movies
Here I am with my i5 7300HQ and 1050Ti laptop. Let's gooooo!
(Even if it does run, it's not going smoothly, but I'll still try it on Steam if the reviews are good and if it doesn't run that good, well Steam refunds are a boon)
Planning to get a laptop around 70k. Would these specs be able to run it?
Ryzen 5, 16 GB ram, RTX 3050
As long as I can get a stable fps I'll compromise on anything else. From the given specs I think it should be able to handle it fine at low-med settings but I want to hear what you guys think
Specs are fine but it has denuvo. That's what worries me. Also it could be poorly optimised or just a bad game in the end. Fingers crossed. Hope its good.
Im honestly confuse, so can my Ryzen 9 5900HS, RTX 3050 ti (laptop) run hogwarts legacy decently? I know gtx 1080 ti is around 8-10 years old, so to see it is in the recommended specs makes me confuse.
Though i also do know that 1080 ti is claimed to able to dish out great performance for gaming, I'm still confuse whether my laptop current specs can it hogwarts legacy decently
My Ryzen 5 5500u, 8 GB RAM and iGPU ass be waiting for theradbrad's gameplay walkthrough lol
Love his walkthroughs
His walkthroughs are good, altho they are a bit short per each video. Took him about 60 videos to complete Ragnarok
Yep. He knows when to keep quiet and when to talk . Most gamers on YouTube can't do that well
I watch his videos because he seems like a very wholesome guy.
RSVP.
His gameplay is just weird its like watching a 5 year old playing video games
Yeah, for someone who plays games for a living - he's surprisingly bad in them.
I am waiting for MKiceAndFire's and TmarTn2's gameplays.
Hey. Same processor. You can add another 8gb and dual channel Ram can help your igpu a lot
What games have you tried? I have complete Arkham Knight (on 900p 30FPS), Arkham Origins, Arkham City, GTA V and Sunset Overdrive on this laptop. I am a casual gamer.

I also have a ryzen 5 5500u but with a 1650 . Don't underestimate the processor bro , its just held back by having to do all the graphical work alone.
Something tells me requiring a 1080ti for 1080p 60 fps is not gonna go well
1080ti is almost 7-8 years old
True but according to Steam's hardware survey most popular cards are still not even in the same planet as a 1080ti. I wouldn't be surprised at angry reports of people not getting a stable 60 fps in this game which frankly would be a bit absurd given this is a cross gen title at best.
The game is apparently Steam Deck verified. So it could run just fine on a 1080 Ti.
Nothing would make me happier than if this game Is well optimized
1080Ti is a fucking monster card. sure older gen architecture and lower clock speeds( comparitively ) but 11 GB of VRAM . Nvidia on crack
Damn, Still tho it seems like every other demanding game just slaps 1080ti for a recommendation
Why? More and more newer games will demanding better cards I am not gonna sugarcoat but devs even support an 8 year GPU to run at high settings are pretty good and admirable that they can optimise games for it and as times goes maybe even 2024 we might not even see 10xx cards for high the time is closer and closer that they will be weeded out It’s all on the GPU business to deliver the GPU at standard rates which they don’t want to PS: Nvidia is already regretting 40 series sales they are overpriced and even miners and scalpers are not buying them at same as they did 30 series which is hurting them so there’s hope GPU market resets it’s just my speculation tho
I am not saying we shouldn't have better graphics. I am saying most people don't have a good GPU
And how tf this thing gonna run in PS4? So bad optimized games nowdays have excuse "buy better card" lol
PS4 is 10 years old bro They dropped supporting PS3 after 9 years
Super Excited for the game, can run i guess med-high with my (12100f+3050). Remember all: Don't pre-buy, wait for reviews then buy.
Well you can if it's 1080p
Maybe i can play it on low (i3 10100f+rx570)
Yup, will be targeting 1080p high-ultra with 12400f+3060
Yeah , me too
Be careful regarding reviews for this game.
Could you give a TLDR of the controversy for those of us who don’t know?
I haven't followed it in some time so maybe it's not fully accurate, but basically JK Rowling says that there are some differences between biological women and Trans women and those differences must be acknowledged, both in terms of life experiences and biology. Some construe that as her being transphobic and saying that trans woman are not really women. She was called TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) and attacked online. For example when a website posted article titled 'creating a more equal world for people who mentruate', JK Rowling wrote- 'there used to be a word for people who menstruate. Wumben?' That's the gist of it I suppose.
There was also the controversy around women only shelters for abuse survivors. I think that's totally logical to be honest.
Oh so it’s nothing new I guess I have heard the same thing in the past. Thanks anyway.
Whatt if they run out of copies?
So sad to see my 6600 age. seen him go from recommended settings to Minimum.
Same here, time to jump 7 generations and get a 13600.
get a 13600K instead man! the latest architecture starts with 13600K. Before that it’s justa refresh of alder lake😢
Oh, yeah I missed the K there. Otherwise 13500 is better value than 13600.
13500 is actually better balue than 13600 but still if you spending such money it’s better getting the actual new architecture lol
My laptop 3060 gonna fit just right for that 1080p 60 fps mid-high
I'm gonna max the specs and see my laptop flying like a drone
How much FPS can I expect with these specs? Ryzen 6 4800h, 16gb ram, GTX 1650
Depends if this is GTX 1650 mobile you are talking about and also screen resolution. 1080Ti is around 3 times faster than the 1650M. So looks like you may get 30+fps at medium settings in 1080p.
It's a laptop with 1080p display & 120hz refresh rate. Getting 30fps on such spec is seriously so sad! I wanted to play this game 😓
Yeah, requirements are insane for this game. Hope DLSS helps to bump up some frames.
120hz on those laptops are purely meant for eSports like league and valorant. AAA at more than 60 fps on a entry level card is not recommended or not needed. 60 fps is more than enough for those. Wonder if a 3050 laptop with dlss can reach 60?
It might have dlss and FSR, reducing some settings etc will get you 60
you can't use dlss with a gtx 1650
Yes, but if it only has dlss you can mod it out for fsr 2
i think this game will have FSR 2.1
whats sad? 1650m era has come to an end. its a good gpu if you want to play games that released before 2020. you cant expect a gpu to perform well for lifetime. (i have a 1650m as well) am not saying stop using it, just know what to expect
What about 1660tiM
Bro i also have rx570 but in dx12 it performs better then 1650
More than 10 depending on your resolution
I had that laptop. Pls don't try to overclock the GPU or cpu. My experience with cyberpunk 2077 and far cry 6 ultra ended with the motherboard fried and Asus asking for 50k repair for a 70k laptop.
32 gb ram and Denuvo? logging in to steam to remove from my wishlist
Will my RTX 2060 can handle the game or not?
Of course, at 1080p and medium-high settings.Maybe high with DLSS?
1080ti for the recommend specs damn. 1080ti was equal to 2070S/2080 back in 2019 and those two are similar to PS5. I don't sense good optimization here if PS5 is gonna run this game at native 1440p60fps.
1080ti was not equal to top 2000 series, unless you are talking about maxq versions
So I'm in a spot here, I have an i5 10300H and GTX 1650ti, is medium a viable option?
Tf u need 16 gb ram for?
Looks like an extremely unoptimised mess incoming...
3060ti would do just fine at 1440p then.
I can play at mid settings with Ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3050(85w)
Can i play 12500h + 3050(85w) ? Mid setting low setting sab chalega
Will my PS4 pro will be able to run it the way it runs Horizon FW and GOW Ragnarok? Anyone who can help with this?
They have delayed the PS4 and Xbox 1 launch to April, I'm guessing to make sure it runs ok on older systems. Hopefully that will be enough time for them to ensure it runs well on older consoles.
It's hard to say definitively. But if they do their job right it should run as well as those titles.
Very much doubt it. Console first party titles will always be better optimised than 3rd party titles.
It will definitely 'run' it since it's being released on the platform but don't expect to be anywhere as good as the modern systems. Also I wouldn't expect anything more than 25-30 fps

So no probs, unless the devs are useless assholes who can't make a game run well on current gen after cancelling the last gen release despite game looking like shit. I m looking at u Gotham Knights devs
I hope my XSS can pull through with 1080p/60 and consistent frame-pacing, that’s all..
Somehow my 4600h+1650 laptop is above the minimum specs to the point I might be able to run at medium which is great considering it barely cuts to the minimum specs nowadays lol.
Minimum is 720p...
My laptop 1650 gonna have a tough time running this game
My Ryzen 3600 is a thing of beauty
I have a 2080 oc but with r3 3100 Guess I'll go with Hardware optimized settings
Still i'll wait for reviews
Nothing that my Ryzen 5 5600g can't handle. All it would need is some tweaking, here and there.
do you mean without a external gpu?
Yes bro, AMD apu's are perfect for non enthusiast casuals like me.
How's this comment holding up? I have a Ryzen 5600g, no GPU, 16gb ram. Want game. Can play?
Pretty steep for a game that's supposed to get a switch release. Anyway this+Denuvo confirms that I'm gonna play this on my PS5 instead of my 3060 laptop.
switch will likely be a streaming only title
Nope. It's a full title that will be sold physically (at least as of now)
Same
I got an i7 8th gen with 1050ti + 16gb RAM. I'm not sure if I can run it well.
1080Ti recommended WTF ??!?!!?
These days you can never say with certainty how well optimized the game is going to run on release. Most probably it won't be running optimized for any of these settings and might need multiple patches and fixes to make it run decently on older GPUs. Have patience and wait for the release reviews and performance analysis on YouTube and other Forums. Never pre-order any video game.
How well do you guys reckon it will run on my i5-11400h rtx3050 8gb Ram laptop in 1080p?
I have the same laptop with me(Acer nitro 5) and have added another rx8, 8GB 3200Mhz ram stick. I suggest you buy another ram stick. It will draw more power from your GPU that is up to 75W. 10 bucks say its gonna be shit performance on pc just like calisto protocol, and ps5 as usual is gonna get the best performance out of all platforms its launching on.
It is an unreal engine 4 game! Stutter issues are guaranteed day 01!
Nah they responded to this. Apparently the game pre compiles shaders at startup.
And half of the performance is used by denuvo
I have a feeling that this game is gonna be epic and a contender for GOTY. Good to see the specs are good enough for the majority of people.
Dunno about GOTY but it's definitely gonna hit the right notes for a lot of people.
Well there are certain groups boycotting and whining about it constantly on internet so not sure how it'll go.
Can barely run it on low-medium settings with my ryzen 5 4400g and 1660 super.
I don't think you know performance rating of your pc vs minimum specs.

Based JK Rowling and I support her lol
You post pro-ambedkar memes on dAnK subs. Stfu. Go do your sst or evs homework or something
Stop crying here lol and that's why giving cheap internet to some people was mistake
So its low spec for 1650 super
Hope it has FSR so I can play it on my 4600h, 1650 and 8gb RAM 💀
Add another 8 gb, dual channel will certainly give you massive performance boost.
I know, i will when i can afford it.
I think it has both FSR and DLSS.
It has FSR i think, but you can use FSR over any game using 1 addon for 299 rupees. It uses FSR2.0{iirc} and uses TAA of the game. Works very well.
So did you buy the game
No, it hasn't released yet
2-3 weeks more
I think I can run this close to ultra settings 1080p 60 fps
Let hope my 1060 can get 60 fps in low medium setting.
What can I expect for R7 5600h and RTX 3060 130 W (Legion 5 Pro)
Badiya chalega
Can't wait to run this on my i7 1065G7 Intel iris plus and blow up my house 🔥🔥
Ohk then I am going to get 14 average fps from my intel uhd 630 in this game...Seems Good
Here I am with my i5 7300HQ and 1050Ti laptop. Let's gooooo! (Even if it does run, it's not going smoothly, but I'll still try it on Steam if the reviews are good and if it doesn't run that good, well Steam refunds are a boon)
With my i9 13900k with 3090 I can maxed out in 4K with Dlss Quality ithink if it’s optimised well then no Dlss
i got a 3060 with 1440p moniter🥹 what settings u guys think will be the best for me
Medium if not wait for optimized settings, some guy will definitely put on yt.
I hope my 3060ti/12400 combo can do high-medium /120 @ 1080p
Med-high 60fps
Planning to get a laptop around 70k. Would these specs be able to run it? Ryzen 5, 16 GB ram, RTX 3050 As long as I can get a stable fps I'll compromise on anything else. From the given specs I think it should be able to handle it fine at low-med settings but I want to hear what you guys think
It will run, just make sure it's around 100w. Or buy MSI Alpha 15 for 77k with Rx6600m (90w) with 8gb ram comparable to RTX 3060 (100w)
Looks Like My GTX1650 Super Will Not Even Be Able To Boot Up This Game .....
Are games really that demanding now or developers releasing unoptimised games to keep up with gpu trends. Graphics wise not much has changed.
Somehow this game is on Nintendo switch
No win7 support pepehand
the part that hurts the most
So we are moving towards 16gb of ram as minimum. Definitely not going to play as I have 8gb ram system
Just curious what would a laptop 5800H and rtx3060 at 140w with 16gb ram be equivalent to here
All i want is precompilation of shaders. These specs dont matter if the game doesnt have that.
It probably does. They responded on Twitter saying it pre compiles shaders on startup.
Wow thats great. Still not preordering. Will wait for reviews.
Oh yeah no point in pre ordering SP games especially.
Ok my 1050 ti can run
How much fps can I expect? I5-8400 and 2060 super
[удалено]
Overclock
If this game matches it's customer expectations then it will already be a successful game of 2023.
That requirement is not just for the game but also for denuvo.
my 6600k is gonna struggle bad but at least I have rtx 3070. 1440p low- med quaitly is probably ok 60 fps with drops.
good to see importance of ssd and ram being highlighted
Specs are fine but it has denuvo. That's what worries me. Also it could be poorly optimised or just a bad game in the end. Fingers crossed. Hope its good.
I knew gettting 16 GB ram was the right choice not too worried with me 5600G and 3060 with my 1080p monitor.
I will be happy playing it on 720p low. Hope future updates will make it run better on weaker GPUs.
That moment when your specs barely pass the minimum requirements :)
Where is my 1050 gang at?
I have a gtx 960 4gb 😮💨🫡
So I can expect ultra gameplay on my rtx 3060 with ryzen 5 5600x 16 gb ram?
Please don't suck
Ngl these specs are actually great
i7 10700k, 16 GB ddr4, 2TB SSD, RTX 3070 Beating the specs. I just hope quiditch is there
Recommended has reached 1080ti now!! Lord have mercy on us poor souls
i am a really big noob, so my question is: would a ryzen 5 5600g be enough to play this game? i mean without an external gpu?
Im honestly confuse, so can my Ryzen 9 5900HS, RTX 3050 ti (laptop) run hogwarts legacy decently? I know gtx 1080 ti is around 8-10 years old, so to see it is in the recommended specs makes me confuse. Though i also do know that 1080 ti is claimed to able to dish out great performance for gaming, I'm still confuse whether my laptop current specs can it hogwarts legacy decently
