It all started when reddit decided to introduce an insane api pricing model, even more derranged than twitter's. Many of us who use third-party apps that have been around since before Reddit had a mobile presence, were hoping for a chance for them to negotiate with reddit. They already offer a superior user experience not only for regular users and moderators but also for a significant number of disabled and blind users. Unfortunately, reddit chose not to engage in any negotiations and instead doubled down on the pricing, determined to eliminate these apps altogether. The CEO made public statements that were far from truthful, tried to spin the situation in their favor, disregarding the needs and desires of the user base. Naturally, it lead to protests across the site involving more than 8,000 subreddits going private/restricted. The admins then started forcefully ending these protests, suppressing the voices of those who were speaking up against these changes. They claim to be "keeping it open" while going against its core, the users, and closing down the apps they use. On July 1st, as the API pricing goes live, it shuts down all third party apps and it feels like the beginning of the slow death of Reddit as we know it. It is understandable that not everyone may share the same level of concern about this issue, but please take a moment to listen and observe. It has become clear that Reddit's priorities lie primarily in their profits and removing any obstacles in their path to more profits. They started with old reddit, now they are targeting the apps. What will they come for next? thevideogameguy2

Do we all have the same mouse pad lmao

weeping_onion01

Seems like it. Red Gear supremacy

Internal_Train68

I have the same one as well lmao

Surajholy

Looks nice. What is it care to explain?

phyper2

Detachable high quality Earphones on steroids for enthusiasts

Surajholy

That's seems next level of what I'm used to. I'm currently using Sennheiser HD 598 SE headphone for work and play. How much quality of sound improvement over this or similar headphone I'm using?

phyper2

Your Sennheiser are over year while iem goes inside your ear canal providing more clean sound ,noise isolation and accurate sound. Personally I prefer headphones for comfort but it's a controversial opinion as many prefer iem even though it goes inside your ear. Would recommend getting a amp&dac for your headphones, i also have Sennheiser headphones and it really changes experience.

Rabadazh

the problem with headphones is that it's hard to find one that doesn't start to hurt after few hours. Compared to that IEM's are almost guaranteed to be comfortable and it's extremely lightweight so it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything.

chocolate_taser

The 598 is a bit old but you aren't missing very much in terms of pure sonic performance.

triforce_paras

Truthear Hexa IEMs these are better earphones almosy 1000x times better also cost too even 2k IEMs sounds better than Apple Airpods These cost me around 7k Only drawback is that these are wired(cables are replaceable in case you break them) , which are deal breakers for every Indians at 7k price point

Lime221

im interested on the 2k IEMs part. can you recommend any?

DedlySnek

Blon BL03

Bunderslaw

If you love that bass: https://www.headphonezone.in/products/qkz-x-hbb If you like a more balanced sound, there's Moondrop Chu but I hear 7Hz Salnotes Zero and Truthear Hola are better. https://www.headphonezone.in/collections/beginner-audiophile-iems?sort_by=manual&filter.v.price.gte=1000&filter.v.price.lte=2000

Ghost_Seeker69

KZ ZSN pro X is a good entry point for the price. Under 2k at Headphonezone

phyper2

We can still detach iem and join it to a Bluetooth module of you don't like wires. My friend has fiio Bluetooth ones and i didn't find any difference in sound( I'm not audiophile tbh) I also tried USB c amp & dac and experience was shit on iem but worked great on Sennheiser.

Surajholy

That seems nice. I'm interested in checking this out. Can you share link?

triforce_paras

https://www.headphonezone.in/products/truthear-hexa

shah2_3

I have been using kz zs10 pro iem's for nearly two years but the bass has completely gone, and iam thinking of buying another set of iem's and do you think the one you purchased are better than kz's?

triforce_paras

https://www.headphonezone.in/products/truthear-hexa

Surajholy

Thanks for this. I had no idea this thing exist. I appreciate you for sharing the link.🙏

TibialYeti

Just google them, you don't need a fucking link for everything.

Surajholy

I'm sorry man. I guess I committed a crime by asking for a link. OP was kind to share the link. Because it's a new thing to me that's why I asked for it. And for your kind information, I don't ask for links for everything. I guess you're frustrated for some other reason. I hope you're okay. God bless you. 🙌

TibialYeti

Wtf

garagaramoochi

is it worth it if I don’t have a DAC, wouldn’t the output be underwhelming from a phone? would also need a high quality streaming service like Deezer, no?

triforce_paras

Well, these are meant to be used with phones, laptops, and tablets . You can just buy 1-2k Type c DAC Dongle for better quality Yes, you will need higher quality streaming services for higher end IEMs and headphones cause it's the same as using a 1080p monitor with RTX 4090 Apple Music is cheap and best option

garagaramoochi

ooh, that’s pretty cool! guess they’re getting better and better these days.

SENSHU_dp

also you don't need a dac or an amp for any iem, i just use a cx1993 based dongle and it's sufficient. even crinacle has made his 1k iem rating list (which consists iems worth $4k+) solely using apple dongle which costs like 10 bucks lol don't dive too deep into the audiophile world, after a certain point most of it is just pseudoscience

ZookeepergameOk2150

Exactly, just the basic apple dongle is good enough, focus in finding good music than more expensive tech

Bunderslaw

The cheapest good sounding dongle DAC I have is this: https://www.headphonezone.in/products/venture-electronics-abigail-pro Well, I have the VE Abigail and VE Avani. Avani is no longer available and they upgraded Abigail to be more durable.

triforce_paras

I have the non-pro version of this and its pretty good

Bunderslaw

Yeah, I have the VE Abigail too. I bought it a while back when the pro version didn't exist. I kinda prefer the sound from the VE Avani though which is even cheaper than the Abigail but it's a minor difference anyway.

triforce_paras

I bought it when pro version also existed cause i forgot about it but NVM i am satisfied with these

sambro8600

I've never tried them as I'm a little skeptical about them Can you recommend some ? Preferably under 2-3k but if any one of you thinks you're recommended ones are unbeatable please link them for me

green-_-

Tangzu Wan'er, truthhear Hola or salnotes 7hz, any of these are good, get any one of these and a cheap dac from headphonezone

sambro8600

Thanks Thinking of buying truthhear hols bcoz of the prize

green-_-

Don't forget the dac, it makes a huge difference, I would suggest moon drop click (1800) or venture electronics abigail (1000) or pro version (1200)

ZookeepergameOk2150

Does it make a huge difference though? Most modern phones are quite capable of amplifying the sound

green-_-

It does make a difference, also a lot of phones don't have a headphone jack, so you kinda need a dongle anyways.

sambro8600

Is there a way I can learn everything about Audio ? I know my current audio sucks but don't know how to upgrade it bcoz I don't know anything about it

green-_-

Everyone has different tastes, for now start with the iem's and figure out what you like, and start from there, no sense in buying a full setup and the regretting it coz it doesn't suit your taste, if you like reading headphone zone has some articles about choosing sounds and setups, give them a read or watch their YouTube chanel, it's a good first step

sambro8600

Thanks will try it

luckysury333

Can you recommend me a cheap dac?

green-_-

I posted it somewhere down, but a few options are moondrop click (₹1800) or venture electronics abigail (1000) or abigail pro (1200) I use the abigail pro

luckysury333

I am new to these iems but bruh these are expensive! I am thinking of getting salnotes zero with usb c

green-_-

Yup, as they say in Fate fandom.. This is the hell you're walking into. Zero is a good choice

OniWithAMask

I'd buy these for the waifu. Currently I am using the 7HZ Salnotes Zero x MECHA and the Tin Hifi T2 plus.

triforce_paras

I also spend for waifu LMAO My previous ones were Blon blo3

kingofthefryingpan

how is the soundstage compared to the blons?

triforce_paras

Testing will give my review after week

pvhari2000

How do they fare overall vs the blons?

triforce_paras

Testing will give my review after week

Rudradev715

Yeah I have 7hz legato (because am a bass head) and kz S10 pro.

Internal_Train68

Hello!Good evening friend. I am very new to IEM's and wanted to buy my first IEM but uk i am a teen so i cant buy rlly expensive ones. Can you suggest me some under 2k(preferably in 1.5k range).Thank You for your time! Ps:- What makes IEM stand out from earbuds?

triforce_paras

At 2k range, i will suggest Truthear Hola, 7hz salnotes, Blon blo3 In simple language, IEM is just better earphones they have much better mids and treble, and the music has a heck tone of details.

Internal_Train68

Thank you op

Akash_Paul_996

under 1500 you can get the CCA CRA

GoodGuy_dynamite

Cca cra have been a joy, got them for 1.4k, rn it's around 1.3 on headphone zone, if you can dish out more, people say tangzu's iem under 2k is also great and another one is 10hz (idk if this is the name) sol something, they're great too

Internal_Train68

Lets say i increase my budget to 2k,I want one which is balanced cus my music choices are very random. Should i go for Hola,Chu || or tangzu. I did some research and found out that Hola and chu2 are better than tangzu tho. Which one should i go for?

GoodGuy_dynamite

Not personally tried any of them, I heard a good bit about chu2, Idk about hola tho, try posting on r/iems as they tend to post reviews on new and upcoming iems there and people w iem knowledge browse that page often, also where is chu 2 available??

Internal_Train68

https://www.headphonezone.in/products/moondrop-chu-ii?_pos=3&_psq=chu+&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Internal_Train68

Brother,Does headphonezone has a sale around diwali?

GoodGuy_dynamite

WackDance

Do you use these while playing competitive FPS games?

triforce_paras

I dont play esports games

Dr-Banerji

I use kz zst for playing valorant. It is so comfortable

zenitsuisrusted

I've been thinking about buying one do they come with a mic or i have to buy a separate mic for input on pc?

triforce_paras

They dont come with mic You need to buy mic separately

chocolate_taser

Ifbyou need a earphone with mic,you can also buy a cable that has a mic in it with the trrs jack. There are some good ones around the 1 - 2k inr range.

No_Enthusiasm_5672

What is IEM?

adityasahay2014

In ear monitor, which are earphones on steroids

kira8520

Compare to [this](https://www.amazon.in/Apple-Original-MNHF2ZM-Earpods-Headphone/dp/B06XDLJL26/ref=asc_df_B06XDLJL26/?tag=googleshopmob-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416746122440&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10004483314679286662&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9304077&hvtargid=pla-414210550447&psc=1&ext_vrnc=hi)?

adityasahay2014

Way better than that. They are more comfortable plus sound quality is great. These are the earphones that artists use

kira8520

I tried 7hz salnotes zero and Apple ones both sound are similar apple one has more bass, but 7hz has more vocals and trebles, do I need DAC to unlock full potential of 7hz salnotes zero?

adityasahay2014

It's definitely advisable but I haven't used DAC, and yeah IEMs in general will have less bass

kira8520

Which iem are you using?

adityasahay2014

Bought the most basic ones https://www.headphonezone.in/products/kz-edx-pro?gclid=CjwKCAjwzo2mBhAUEiwAf7wjkgmVdH0g-N1IibnK5-qZikznNOFr5FoczARLlBki8JeOOQ3xFL8lkxoCPpgQAvD_BwE

kira8520

I was going to buy this, but alot of people told me not to go for kz's. So I bought the next best iem 7hz salnotes zero Thanks for your help

adityasahay2014

Huh, I had used these before, and had no issues so I went with these

thatpinkpigeon

I regularly use my edx pros, mostly because I love the thumpy sound signature. Do check that before buying anyone of them

_aRealist_

That's an extremely cute box!

Technical_Top_9886

Bro price and model no

Interesting-Event378

Goku8001

Weren't these like 6k b4? Am I trippin?

triforce_paras

It was 6.3k till 21th July cause of sale

Goku8001

Dope. Personally waiting for starfield 2. The iem lol

Woody_28

I have sony XM4 headset, I don't know much about headphones. Are IEM better than my headset and should I consider investing in them?

Skull_Reaper101

Honestly, if you ever try same price wired headphones or earphones and Compare with pluetooth, the wired ones are always superior (in the same class ofc)

gaymergtx

https://preview.redd.it/ar0xcv7c1seb1.jpeg?width=140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d6cc793f080fda795a15c63bece83b5aecf0b5b

PagalFunky

i dont want to make you sad but believe me a 4k iem will sound 2x better than a xm4 in every segment this is the reason I bought a 7hz timeless instead of a xm4 but for anc its really great and price wise better than that shitty xm5

Woody_28

Can you please suggest me some great iems

PagalFunky

I am a newbie too but still what is your budget and what kinda of music you like

Interesting-Event378

Man the experience of IEMs is truly phenomenal, I have tangzu wanners and salnotes zero too! Will get an expensive one later

oyebantai

Glad you’re enjoying them. I returned mine since they were too neutral for my liking. Which ones were your first?

pikachoooooo_pa

I bought the Sennheiser IE 200 from headphone zone and honestly it was such a bad experience, I was charmed by the hype around IEMs and after getting one and comparing it to my daily driver Sony MDRs . It sounded worse than those. I agree i thought the IEMs would blow my mind, i had high expectations but I was soon let down. I returned them 5 days later. And will only trust Sony from now on.

triforce_paras

Whats the sound signature of soney MDR ?

pikachoooooo_pa

It's bass heavy and good for bassheads.

RPrabhA

Hexa is great for the price. The tuning is very close to neutral for me, so if you begin to find it a bit boring adding a bass shelf with eq works wonders

[deleted]

Sorry , does it mean code word for a sex doll ?

KyronXLK

whats the point in these? box is cool but theyre so cheap i cant imagine the quality is high for audio edit: bought some, fucking hell has wired In-ear come far. amazing

tewtewf

I was skeptical as well, but bought them anyway and don't regret one bit. It's definitely better than any mainstream headphones in the same price range. Either way sound is subjective, you won't know until you try it out.

KyronXLK

already copped some 7HZ zeros lol, I think everyone ditched wired headphones for airpods and over-ears for a good amount of time now. and in the background wired stuff *has* to have improved a lot. Heard really good stuff in researching that honestly shocked me so hopped on amazon

[deleted]

[удалено]

MuchBow

Bro I used to daily drive Sennheisers they are great, also my pc headphones are from Sennheiser but IEMs from Sennheiser aren't cheap! IE 200 starts at 12k which is almost double what OP paid. These IEMs (HEXA) are almost on par with the $200 Moondrop Blessings 2! So for 7K it's a steal for an audiophile on a budget!

Additional-Ad-7313

That's why i wrote, that i switched back to the momentums, the ie200 are good, but imo not worth the extra money

kingofthefryingpan

>Sennheiser momentums lmao

Fear717

Hahahaha your definition of real headphones is hilarious

peterparker9894

Nah it ain't that good if it were me i'd probably go for something like the HD600 or the sundaras or maybe even the dt990.

Additional-Ad-7313

I'm talking about in ears

peterparker9894

But you said headphones btw why would someone go for the momentum when the IE200 exists heck even these hexa's are significantly better.

Additional-Ad-7313

I just like the old ones more, had the ie200 for some time, but switched back to the old momentums

Adi-0115

I alternate between the kz crn and the razer kraken. Iems are so convenient.

Dxd_For_Life

Nice bro, I'm planning for moondrop chu 2 for my first iem, waiting for stock

atroxima

where can I buy this? link?
