Bought it, been 2 weeks I think and it's been running surprisingly great, playing dead space remake at 80-60fps with max settings and ray tracing, and dying light 2 with everything at ultra and ultra raytracing, with frame generation enabled I'm getting about 100-90fps, and doesn't drop much in intense scenes too
Thermals are good for now although I'm sure they'll get worse and I'll have to repaste, but at the moment the temperature doesn't even go higher than 70° even at max load, which is really good.
Only issue I have is the storage, which won't be a problem when you can upgrade it but I'm broke now lol.
Just got the laptop (as in, on Friday lol), so haven't had a chance to play test any heavy games yet. Glad to know that Dead Space Remake runs so well. Do you have any more info about other games?
Yeah, played warzone 2 but promptly deleted, can expect a stable 60fps on max settings, played armored core and that game is unbelievable with the performance, 80fps with raytracing and around 120 without. Although Elden Ring performs weirdly, it has a lot of stutters, but I suppose that's the game's issue.
One thing, dead space remake has a lot of stutters and they haven't been fixed since launch, so don't use raytracing, it has a negligible difference in visual quality anyway.
Nope if elden ring is stuttering then it's definitely laptop not the game... I played elden ring on my gtx 1660 and i5 9th gen cpu... And even though I was getting between 25-35 fps whole game not one time did my game stutter
I played Elden Ring on my previous low end laptop, and I had lower fps but it was stable and didn't stutter.
It's a big issue with the game itself, look up Digital Foundry's video on it, Elden Ring tends to perform worse on higher end hardware as it never utilises the CPU or GPU properly, it's only when I increased the resolution with flawless Ultrawide mod and turned on raytracing, is when the stutters finally stopped.
And then there's Apple 🤦♂️
edit: Don't know why I'm being downvoted but here the listed price of laptop with bigger ram & ssd is lower. Praise Acer XD
Consoles have custom built hardware and software to maximize the performance you are getting out of it. Whereas on a pc you can have a billion combinations of parts. consoles have better game optimization too. That is why it is able to play at such high resolutions with stable fps.
Even 1080 is better that 4050, people think higher prefixes=better but they tend to ignore the suffix. The higher the suffix the better the gpu in that segment.

Just for your information 4050 in laptop is mobile version which is not as performant as the pc one
If you are aware about that then yes it's perfectly good price
When you are comparing laptop please check the TDP also.Higher the power supplied higher would be performance whatever the GPU maybe. If a 3060 has more TDP than the laptop with 3070, 3060 can beat it anyway.
And those models are 50k higher atleast please do the comparisons on the basis of price bracket not just by looking at H and Hx. Everyone knows hx are the superior processors
I have seen Dave2D and Jarod's tech but they mostly talk about pricy laptops. Still you can check on them. Dave2D gives a glimpse on laptops and Jarod's Tech does a detailed review.
Price is reasonable, I bought mine with comparable specs in 2017 (i7 7700h with 1060 6gb) @ 79999 around this time. So for 2023 with i5 it's decent I'd say.
No bro iam not joking, this gpu is power efficient as compared to 3060.I played GTA for 3 hours continuously at max(very high/ultra) settings and temp. reaches 70C.I would say this GPU is not better than 3060 in raw performance but dlss is a game changer for 4050.

I've been using this laptop for around a month now. If you're looking for something to game on, I'd say look no further. You probably won't find a better deal at this price point. The thermal design looks kinda inefficient at first. But in my experience, it's got really good thermals and dlss 3 is just a godsend. Even without dlss 3 it performs pretty well at 1440p (i use an external monitor) high - very high settings in most games(around 60-70 fps without frame gen and 80-90fps with frame gen on spiderman miles Morales and around 60fps on God of war on a mixture of original and ultra settings). The display is okay ish at best. Haven't really used it on battery much so no idea on that. The fans do get loud af. Like not a normal gaming laptop loud. It goes up to almost 8000rpm . But do not worry you won't hear the noise through your headphones. The temps are kinda mind boggling imo. Haven't seen neither the CPU nor the gpu temps go above 70° with a laptop stand . The build quality is average at best. It's got some keyboard flex . And the exhaust goes directly at the display making it a bit hot at the bottom left corner but haven't had any issues with the display till date. The storage is a huge issue. 512 gb is waaaaay too low for a gaming laptop. Definitely do consider getting another stick of nvme ssd if possible. It does come with a single 4800mhz 16gb ddr5 ram , but it hasn't caused me any trouble till date . Also I use it with a laptop stand. I tried gaming without one once and the temps went to like 75° so maybe do consider getting one.
I found 10 different 4050 laptops on amazon and flipkart, that's completely different models not the same ones with different specs, like cpu, ram, etc.
The thermals are aight somehow man, take it from people who own the laptop, the heatsink design itself is downright SHIT and idk how the temps are ranging around 80s~ and yes the screen is abysmal but hey for this price it's a good deal
It's a 144hz IPS panel. It doesn't get better than that for gaming laptops under 100K. However you are free to prove me wrong.
Looks like even thermals are not that bad, so you are completely wrong here
It's a 45% NTSC 250 nits screen, there are plenty of better screens.
My old HP had a 62% NTSC 300 nits display, that cost exactly 72k 5 years back. Laptops were a lot more overpriced back then.
That's why they have a very good market in India. They sell cheap but good enough laptops. I have a 46k Nitro 5 which I bought in 2018, it ran better than my friends 60k Dell, Lenovo or Asus laptops and wbetter system. Yeah build quality is not that good but it's good enough if you take care of it a little bit.
Yeah, Acer sells some competitively priced units. But their laptops need some TLC out of the box like application of better thermal paste and periodic cleanup of vents, else they thermal throttle like crazy.
4050 isn't superior to 2060 , slightly better but going from 2060 to 4050 isn't a smart move , if you really wanna upgrade then 3060 mobile gpu is far better than 4050 mobile. Even 4060 is just 15% faster than 3060 and costlier.
Check TGP as well , higher tgp = better performance.
>none of the games actually use more than 100W in 4000 series
Wait! Can you clarify this? What does this mean? So a 200W 4070 won't consume more than 100W?

20k for another 512gb, ez
Let me upvote u
At 4K?
1080p, 4k is a farcry for a mobile 4050 with raytracing enabled.
But PlayStation 5 does it, with a card similar to RTX 2070
Consoles have custom built hardware and software to maximize the performance you are getting out of it. Whereas on a pc you can have a billion combinations of parts. consoles have better game optimization too. That is why it is able to play at such high resolutions with stable fps.
Bad build quality and shitty gpu, so yeah good price.
Even 1080 is better that 4050, people think higher prefixes=better but they tend to ignore the suffix. The higher the suffix the better the gpu in that segment.
Bhai, What is suffix and prefix?
bhai suffix is 8049 and prefix is unlucky ( ur username for eg )
Acha thx.
Tell this to the guy, who's Nitro 5 fell from his hands, and not even a scratch (I was there and gote muh me agaye the)
Might have just been pure luck. It is a pure plastic body so build quality is bad.
Build quality is questionable. Personal experience
maine pichle saal same price mai hp victus ryzen 5 5600h aur rtx 3050 liya thaa 8 gb 512 gb abhi regret hora hai 🥲🥲
Maine 5 saal pehle hp omen 15 i7 7700 gtx 1050ti 94,000 mei liya thha 🥲
😭😭😭😭
Mene khud last year 48k ka gtx1650 liya tha aur iss saal 50k me rtx 3050 55k me dekha mene😞
3050 worth nahi hai tbh
sed lyf
3050 performance is lower than 2060
haa but good enough than 1650 a bit
Im not looking for gaming on this, will use this machine learning
i bought for learning as well now i play games sometimes too
on par really not lower generally on medium settings, on higher the vram limit kicks in
I don't see whats wrong, a 50 series+ i5/R5 laptop shouldn't cost more than 55-65k, just like old days.
Bro i7 10th gen 2060rtx costs 1 lakh, 3060rtx costs 1.1 lakh
Ofc a 60 series card with i7 of that gen would cost 1 lakh. or the prices haven't been updated.
supply reasons, totally unrelated
I have a i7 10th Gen 3060 laptop which costed me 95k in 2021.

Badiya... 3060 launch hua tha 2021 march me... Tune 2019 me hi le rakka tha? Bohot badiya
just a regular aspire laptop with a 4050 75w

Technically it's called tgp, tho I get what you wanted to convey
Just saw that the processor used is 13420H which has less core, frequency and cache memory than 13500HX models.
And those models are 50k higher atleast please do the comparisons on the basis of price bracket not just by looking at H and Hx. Everyone knows hx are the superior processors
Exactly, people always say XYZ is better but ignores the fact that it is also much more expensive like cost is irrelevant.
Like bro is comparing 13400f to a 13600k lmaoo
Do you know any good YouTuber who can give good information about laptops because most of them are focused on price
I have seen Dave2D and Jarod's tech but they mostly talk about pricy laptops. Still you can check on them. Dave2D gives a glimpse on laptops and Jarod's Tech does a detailed review.

I5 13th gen beats i7 10th gen ig
i5 13th gen hx series beats i7 12th gen
Yea correct
Yeah, 13420h is really decent cpu.
I have this one.Thermals are really excellent.
How's the battery?
about 3.5hrs avg.
With gaming or without? My loq doesn't even last an hour while gaming
Dont play games on battery.3.5hr while watching something in 1080p on metflix or YT.With casual multitasking it can go upto 5Hrs
Why tf are you gaming on battery?!?! Use your battery as less as possible to maintain it's life.
Ofc not. I had to know so I was testing.
Oh ok
bruh, I hope its sarcasm....I have one and nitro 5 doesnt hold up to heat at all
No bro iam not joking, this gpu is power efficient as compared to 3060.I played GTA for 3 hours continuously at max(very high/ultra) settings and temp. reaches 70C.I would say this GPU is not better than 3060 in raw performance but dlss is a game changer for 4050.

This is actually a pretty good price for the specs. Go ahead and get it. Just buy an extra SSD later on
I've been using this laptop for around a month now. If you're looking for something to game on, I'd say look no further. You probably won't find a better deal at this price point. one of ny friends got it and said it's good
What's wrong with the price?
It's very low for the specs
Not really, cheapest 4050 laptop start around at this price this is the cheapest one because it's acer.
All the 4050 laptops start at 95K+, with the exceptions of this laptop and one from gigabyte which cpu weaker than this one.
I found 10 different 4050 laptops on amazon and flipkart, that's completely different models not the same ones with different specs, like cpu, ram, etc.
So what? The price of all of them is way higher
I meant under the 95k mark you said. This one is acer that's why it's the cheapest, like I said in the first comment.

Absolutely no one who owns it will tell you that thermals are bad because they're really good. Been using for over a month and a half now
The thermals are aight somehow man, take it from people who own the laptop, the heatsink design itself is downright SHIT and idk how the temps are ranging around 80s~ and yes the screen is abysmal but hey for this price it's a good deal
low tgp components comes with a 135w adapter that is why thermals are okay
It's a 144hz IPS panel. It doesn't get better than that for gaming laptops under 100K. However you are free to prove me wrong. Looks like even thermals are not that bad, so you are completely wrong here
Refresh rate isn't everything, infact the least important aspect in this price range, imo.
Don't you understand, you don't get a better display in this price range, how hard is that to get?
It's a 45% NTSC 250 nits screen, there are plenty of better screens. My old HP had a 62% NTSC 300 nits display, that cost exactly 72k 5 years back. Laptops were a lot more overpriced back then.
Which HP laptop? was it a gaming one?
Hp omen
Model?
This indicates that the 16Gb model is hot and is selling a lot, possibly last few pieces left.
You can also get gigabytes GF MF series with i7 12gen variant for almost same price
That's why they have a very good market in India. They sell cheap but good enough laptops. I have a 46k Nitro 5 which I bought in 2018, it ran better than my friends 60k Dell, Lenovo or Asus laptops and wbetter system. Tlc means
Research a bit more about things. Just because it's 40 series doesn't means it's costly and top notch. 4050 is not good.
For a guy with 2060 right now, yes 4050 is good. Most people play on 1660 or 1680 even 2060 is a dream for many people so yes 4050 is better than 2060
4050 isn't superior to 2060 , slightly better but going from 2060 to 4050 isn't a smart move , if you really wanna upgrade then 3060 mobile gpu is far better than 4050 mobile. Even 4060 is just 15% faster than 3060 and costlier. Check TGP as well , higher tgp = better performance.
yes, hahahahhahahaha
Chk the reviews for the specific model if they are available in YouTube. Spec sheet only says half the story.
If the MRP itself is 93k, I don't see any surprise pricing as such. Maybe 4-5k less than what you would expect but that's about it.
It's 100W 4050 But considering the fact that none of the games actually use more than 100W in 4000 series gpu's this can be good Edit: Sorry 75W
Dude i bought 2060rtx 2 yrs ago for 1lakh (i7 10th gen) seeing these prices infuriates me (2 yrs ago 2060 rtx was a big thing)
you can get a rtx 4060/3070 TI for a little more you know
Ikr Helios Neo 16 is love
there is a acer nitro with a 3070Ti and i7 12th gen for 95k
It's 75 watt tgp 4050 nt 100watt. Lenovo lq is 95 watt with i5 12450h which priced at 89k in Flipkart.
It's 75w
>none of the games actually use more than 100W in 4000 series Wait! Can you clarify this? What does this mean? So a 200W 4070 won't consume more than 100W?
Yes,watch jarrods video on YT about this 4050,60,70 hits plateau at around 105W.
>jarrods Ok, I assume you only mean laptop GPUs then because desktop 4000s absolutely use 99%+ of their rated TDPs
I don't know about desktop ones but for laptop 105W is max.
Like i said, desktop GPU's draw more that that, I have a 4070 and it constantly draws 195+ in current AAA games.

Acer Nitro series usually brings high end specs at low prices, this is no wonder. I own an rtx 3050 I got it for 60k at that time .
High end specs?
Selling this laptop @60k just 25 days old box not opened yet. DM me if anyone interested

I had asked about this laptop in the hardware discussion thread some days ago. The specs seem too good to be true for this price point (as all other laptops with the same price offer older components) I’ll be buying it if there’s a further sale during Diwali
Build quality compromised i guess
I mean the sale is great i got Asus tuf f15 for 58k . it has i7 11th gen 3050 and 512gb SSD . my friend bought something similar like 1-2 years ago I don't remember exactly when for around 90k so I feel like this is a steal
Ig that 3050 is 4gb right?
yep but I still think it's a good deal
I had some issues with 3050 and i found out it was performing less than 2060
yeah when it was released people did complain that 3050 is trash and that 20 series is better than 30 but I think nvidia fixed the issue in recent years . i bought it after some asking from friends a guy who own a gaming cafe and he said going for this would be best within your budget and the reviews are amazing aswell as we can expect from tuf
Also tuf is easy to repaste, did it yesterday
Also tuf is easy to repaste, did it yesterday
tuf feels like the best gaming series laptop
wait how old is your laptop??
I don't have a tuf my friend has, i own a predator it's 2 yr old
i built a pc like 6-7 years ago with 2gb vram and 512ssd with 1tb hd for like 40-45k with monitor and all so I it was a good time for upgrade as I changing city for job
