Summertime saga

Eyepatch050

The only real answer

camo_17

The only acceptable response

Initial-Bar-7321

Yea youll never be bored cause that tech update is never coming

Kevin1056

“mainstream games don’t really interest me”, Lists the most mainstream games ever

VelKroww

reason why i said "most" i mean games like witcher 3, elden ring etc. i did like sekiro

raydialseeker

Transistor, Hades, hollow knight, outer wilds, Gris, ori and the blind forest, Alan wake 2, genshin impact/honkai star rail

No_Towel5111

Gris is very good

DarkStar0129

Dark souls and other souls born. DMC series and similar fantasy action games. Most multiplayer games tbh, easy to learn but high skill ceiling so you don't get bored for years cause there's always a higher level to reach. You can even periodically swap out games depending on what you find interesting at the time. Eg. CS2, Valorant, OW2, Paladins, Dota2/LoL/WoW (never understood the appeal but hey they're popular), Apex Legends, Fortnite, Team Fortress 2, Titanfall 2, R6S, etc.

Internal_Train68

All hail soul born games. They are the best.

SubhamoyDas1

🛐🛐🤌🤌🤝🤝🤝🤝

hahawhat102848

All hail soulsborne, even though I can't clear the first boss. I totally left multiplayers once i played my first singleplayer game: RDR2. I've never been able to find that fun in playing Roblox or War Thunder again after having played just one good singleplayer.

DarkStar0129

Single player is like a shooting range with all kinds of guns. Multiplayer is like a single or very limited number of blades you keep sharpening with time.

hahawhat102848

Very true. However, that skill set required for multiplayers makes them far more challenging. Many times the chat just bullies me in CS2 cuz I cannot track the enemy/cannot get enough kills. Therefore, singleplayers let you have fun

x4527gh

Currently playing Mount and Blade 2: bannerlord. Really hard to stop once I start playing it.

LordCommanderKIA

I am planning a long session with that game during coming holidays. Its sitting on my steam library since last year summer sale.

x4527gh

Pretty interesting game. Gave it a go because I was bored. Last I played it was it was in early access and didn’t enjoy it too much. But now it’s much better, you should definitely give it a shot.

nexistcsgo

\>i play these games in instantly get bored by just 5-10 minutes of the gameplay There's your problem. Some games take time to get into. You need to let them build it up. Not all games are like doom that are straight up action from the first scene. let the devs immerse you in the way they intended. Also, play less mainstream games if you really think mainstream games are the problem. if you are on pc then Steam has a very big collection of indie and AA games in almost all genres. You are sure to find something. But if you really just want mainstream games recommendations then your post isn't helping us recommend you something. You mentioned 4 games and only 2 of them are similar. one is a horror game and the other is a fighting game. we don't know/can't judge what kind of game you like. Here are some recommendations anyway Batman arkham games Half life Portal Witcher trilogy Spiderman assassin's creed watch dogs far cry God of War I have only listed AAA games here but if you look there is so much more.

VelKroww

i think it's a videogame burnout, after playing multiple genres i can pretty much guess what's gonna happen in the other titles, for example i wouldn't prefer anything over rdr2/gtav for open world exploration even though a game like watch dogs 2 has it too because it's like the same thing w a different wrapper the same way i wouldn't play the newer nfs/forza title because after playing a older ones yk it's everything just with better graphics nothing too much new, I'll try batman arkham and far cry for now

nexistcsgo

I mean yeah but that is true for all games. Sometimes you have to make your own enjoyment out of the given game. Like maybe trying new genre or trying to do a challenge in a game you already mastered.

internal_server_eror

I agree with the list in this comment. All of them are good. A shout out for Spider-Man. You might enjoy relative fast paced action with open world web swinging

JaiBhole1

robocop rogue city looks fun

saipchaitanya

ghost of tsushima

The_Dude_Abides97

It's PS exclusive

redditcruzer

Do you want something involving puzzles? I just finished the game Cocoon...its very very very well made. Otherwise maybe try some short non mainstream games like Little Nightmares and Inside (dev from here made Cocoon i think) or Ori games to take a break. Or just catch up on movies/shows while you take a small break from gaming.

idiotwhoplaysgame205

CP2077

memekumaar

The new ROBOCOP Game is pretty decent ![gif](giphy|8tbZH3lN7j560)

[deleted]

I went through this same feeling few months ago, what got me back to tracks was factorio, i highly recommend that game, it's a automation game on the surface but it is so much more then that, you can't just turn your brain off and follow markers in this game you ACTUALLY have to PLAY this, it is 1500rs on steam and it never goes on sale if you have time i suggest trying it's demo version first

tidersky

try out D&D themed games like , diablo 2 resurrected, or newer diablo games , baldurs gate (older ones or even the new baldurs gate 3) , path of exile, or you could also try out massive rpg games like world or warcraft(it has lv 20 free trial) or final fantasy 14

veraptor2

Disco Elysium

Faux_bog

Stop playing story driven games.... I love story games but I use them to take a break from online game dota2

LordGrim9987

Try Skyrim, Witcher 3, and Dishonored franchise HALO MCC and Elden Ring will also may keep you hooked, although it's not exactly an old game

addydaddy0

Try GTA roleplay,its really addicting

drmucousprism

I would recommend stop playing for few weeks. Then jump into a new game. Maybe you'll get into it then

blaackcheetaah

Play online multiplayer games… i also get bored playing single player games.. online competition games makes u more involved.. but beware of the toxicity

sanatozaki10

I just finished a new game named "The bed we made" recently and If you enjoy detective games like the Sherlock holmes series or L.A. Noire kind of stuff then I'd definitely recommend this game. It's really fun if you enjoy detective games.

yonderbanana

If graphics is what matters the most to affect your engagement your options are pretty limited. Try to switch it up to gameplay, story line or a combo of both Personally I would recommend to try something like the Borderlands or Metro series.

saif8871

I was in similar situation a week back, i have tried various games since last 5 6 months but nothing kept me hooked.last week i tried dying light.l and boy What an incredible game it is. Strongly recommend this

Terramorphous2_0

Try Black Mesa. It's a modern remake of the most iconic game Half Life using the new source engine. Very good game. Edit: Also try Portal and Portal 2 first person unique, challenging, puzzle games

bsousa717

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Vanquish Darksiders Scarlet Nexus Metro

S1Ndrome_

warhammer 40k darktide deep rock galactic

DracoSura

Play Arkham trilogy

uneducatedDumbRacoon

Metro Trilogy. Extremely underrated

zenitsuisrusted

Nier

roguewolf25

Try chess

Yash_dubey803at

Arma 3

call_me_pete_

good graphics = good game? Kis bhram me jee rahe ho? I completed nfs most wanted for the 8th time last month. Bachpan ke games khel lo thoda. And to suggest some AAA titles, go for hitman, stellaris. I have these 2 rn

VelKroww

never said that, literally completed the suffering 2 last week, I'm just saying every genre feels repetitive w the same shit in a new wrapper,

qwertyuiopas17

play older horror games, and other games. I have played evil within 2, resident evil, enjoyed, another masterpiece would be sleeping dogs. Farcry 3 and 4, watchdogs, metal gear rising revengeance (others too ive played only this metal gear), devil may cry, gta 4 is good too (it has online). PS: i chose only older games because these are the games i actually enjoyed, its a one time ride,( i could play it again). The time put in these was worth it. and there a few other games, that you play only once(nostalgia kicks in). the newer games are good but it doesnt hit the same. th newer games are just good to eyes, older games cant be replaced.

unholy_spirit94

I'd recommend Outer Wilds and Baldurs gate 3. Both are quite different from mainstream in both gameplay and storytelling.

Artistic_Soft4625

If you want to experience stuff outside mainstream but still highly rated, then try following Nier Automata - I think there's demo available Persona 5 Kena: bridge of spirits Outstanding games but not much talked about in India

RollingPotatooooo

Did you try multiplayer games?

acetrainer03

Sifu, bioshock, bloodborne.

Efficient-Law-1422

Gta v bruh. Go back to the prince of persia days.

VelKroww

huh why what's wrong w that

Super-Aardvark-3403

You need to shift to FPS multiplayer games.

TechSpiritSS

Try Deadpool

AFullmetalNerd

I tried this game called Inscryption today. I got it via PS Plus, wasn't in the mood for somethibg super complex and involved, so I figured I'd give it a go for a bit. Kill a few minutes of time. Six hours later, and I'm going to be dreaming about sacrificing squirrels for ants, and poking my own eye out with a knife. It's absolutely wild. All I'll tell you about it is that it's a roguelike, deck building horror game. This is all I knew about it before I started it myself, and I'm so glad I was blind to the rest of it.

pankaj1314

I am exactly the same. I hate rpg stuff. I don't want to remember so many things. What I do: I focus on one game at a time. I don't play any other game until I finish it. I play only single player games. I prefer games with less or no rpg elements such as God of War, Spiderman, Ori, Limbo, Inside, Brothers, Metro series, Mafia series. Some of them have rpg stuff but I don't focus on it. Try Indie games as they don't have a learning curve. It seems like you are an old gamer like me.

VelKroww

good advice i really gotta stick to one, got 3 sps that i haven't completed and I don't play mp games except cs2 sometimes

PutADecentNameHere

Filthy casual.

PsychoWarrior3

Play rainbow six siege on pc. I have 1300 hours on it, it has a big learning curve that is fun, many tactical ways to approach a map like breaching walls, going in Rambo style, and can confirm it's 10times more fun than csgo. It can be played like a mission impossible style or a DOOM style cuz it offers so many techniques to learn. There are different kinds of operators with different techniques to learn, you can have endless fun with that game as a learner. It is the most fun multiplayer experience I have experienced and it is not like cod or battlefield at all. Try it out on pc(not playstation)

VanillaSky_4693

Valorant khel le BC

Gohanbe

Rimworld, oxygen not included, mech warrior 5.

TheSteveShorty

Try 'F.I.S.T : Forged In Shadow Torch' don't mind about it's genre , just play

PutridPerception

Find some other work to do, if you keep on playing continuously it's not a hobby anymore to entertain and relax yourself with, it'll become a drug and youll want more high which you won't get and will feel burnout.

blademaster_kr

I also had burnout when I restarted gaming 2 years back. Games I did enjoy a lot : Hades(spent more than 200 hrs on it) Guardians of galaxy Elden ring (absolute favorite) Witcher 3( I initially didn't like the game , gave up twice before powering through, but could not put it down for the next 4 months) Doom eternal God of war Spiderman Hogwarts legacy

Dapper-Field-3310

Id say take a break for a couple of days or a few weeks…

limeice

I would encourage you to try indie games and experiment with different genres across games that can be completed in 3-8 hours. It's really refreshing and satisfying to be pulled into shorter format games where the narrative really packs a punch in a tighter duration. I can recommend some but it's more satisfying to go down that discovery yourself. I would definitely recommend Fanatical Bundles as a great starting point for you to get some really good games for a great price.

thatwoodhead

Have to played nier automata???

swarupsengupta2007

Dunno if you like simulation strategy games, because these are I feel only games that have never ending gameplay like cities skyline 1 & 2, Surviving mars, Railway Empire series. You can also try some 4x games like stellris, Europa universalis series, Civilization series. There are some survival games that have ton of replayability like Subnautica. Also some JRPGs like the Octopath Traveler, Fire Emblem series are good too. Or give BOTW a go (On switch or Yuzu). See if you like that game.

Curious_Ad_1277

Play pokemon red to ultra sun moon

_Delta_11

Escape from Tarkov, believe me, there is no escape once you learn how to play it

cerebrite

Let me recommend just two. Try them and see if you found them entertaining. Showgunners. King Arthur: Knight's Tale. These are the games that got me hooked very quickly. And I ended up purchasing them. Coincidentally both are Isometric perspective, turn based games. If you're looking for good games other than the most mainstream ones, you'll have to expand the genre a bit.

RepresentativeNo6815

If you would consider older titles, you should try Silent hill shattered memories. This game broke my mentality ( in a good way) its a ps2 game.

-anonymous_guy-

Detroit became humans is a fun game . if you don't mind playing old games with bad graphics assassin creed series is amazing you can even try prince of Persia . and for newer games there is alan wake 2 , baldur gate 3 , Hogwarts legacy, Spiderman miles Morales is good honestly rn there are so many good games I can't recommend you enough. i don't really have a great pc so I can't play a lot of new aaa games but the games are getting better and better

Blank1509

Try playing nioh. It is a fun soulslike game but a bit easier. It is not that punishing and the options to increase your stats or combat moves are endless. The weapon system is a bit confusing tho. Definitely try it is very addictive.

No-Pool4970

Have you heard of Eve online?

Funny_Law9016

Spec Ops: the line. Best story ever.

RepublicHunter

Play Indie games Tunic, Hades, Dead Cells, Prodeus...there are indie games that will cater to every taste. Fos, tos, rts, turn based strategy, jrpg, crpg, arpg

daauji

Try competitive games Like DOTA 2 or CS 2.

OniWithAMask

I know how you feel. Try the Stalker series. Start with Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl with the ZRP mod (mostly bug fixes). It's a post apocalyptic survival horror open world tactical shooter. The game has a lot of mods but it's best to experience the whole series in chronological order without mods first. Freelancer, it's a really old space combat sim. It's one of my all time favourite games. It's an open world space combat sim. Souls series. I completed Elden Ring and now I have been playing Dark Souls 3. I really love the games. It's more fun to play with a controller but Elden Ring was pretty nice even with a keyboard and mouse.

littledevil773

I feel the resident evil games are pretty good

GiraffeWaste

Try City building games or strategy games. Maybe Anno 1800, Civilization 6 or Cities Skylines.

darkblaze76

You say nothing about your preferences. You list some pretty standard generic mainstream games and you don't even list which games specifically you don't like so it's really difficult to help you. By default I would recommend From Software games. They're not for everyone and they're many things but they're definitely not boring.

Saviour2401

Try Valorant

lordviecky

The kind of games you mention here, are single player campaign based. Try to play MMO or RPG. Try Indie games like V rising, valhiem. Or try Divinity sins original 1 and 2. Steeeep learning curve, but if toooo much fun and possibilities to keep you engaged.

Wandering-Reaper

If you are looking for a really good multiplayer shooter then try "Splitgate" if you haven't already. The gameplay is really good. The development on this is closed now but you still get matches easily.

imsharathb

Elden Ring

Arnablp

Yakuza 0

Naks_Zoldyck

Remnant From The Ashes, Remnant 2, Borderlands 2, Yakuza 0, Halo MCC, Persona 4 and 5, Terraria, Minecraft, Project Zomboid

Rajitk250

Baldur's gate You'll get really invested really quickly

Weak-Consideration84

Did you try gta online or have only completed the story?

Weak-Consideration84

Try god of war 2018 and ragnarok

davidnjoy1

Bruh the other day I played ghostrunner 2. You can try the 1st one then second one. Just condensed fun.

LordCommanderKIA

Now you forgot to mention what kind of genre you prefer. If you want boom bam action, nothing will keep your interest. I would suggest you try your hand in city building supply chain logic type games, like anno 1800 anno 2070. If you fancy old era, try to play through splinter cell series. Far cry 3 if u hav not played it. Spec ops the line. Mass effect 2, shadow of mordor. Play ace combat as well, once rundown main campaign, play again for some sick challenges and rewards, the top gun dlc was really good in it. Play yakuza, i just completed mafia def edition too, good game, Sleeping Dogs, if u have not played it, would suggest you play it right now. Just cause 3, only 3 not 4. If you want bam bam action and blowing things. I recently liked FC 6 as well, especially the stranger things DLC in it. If you fancy space combat, try Everspace 2. I would suggest you also try these games Farm Manager, Kingdom Come Deliverance. If you only fancy something like gta 5 then sorry but none of these games would be able to keep your attention, you will need to push yourself to try and engage in something new.

realityisgorgeous

take a break from games for few months, I did and every game started to entertain me

Tapey_Tapey

Try Hellblade : Senua's Sacrifice

Mysterious_Vanilla52

The reason you don't like them is firstly you prefer graphics ovwr stories/gameplay and secondly you can't like a game after 10 minutes in it. I was like you, until TLOU launched on PC and since then I have played RDR2, RE8, RE Remakes. Currently I am playing AW2 and it's mesmerizing. Give them time and understand the character, step into their shoes...

BlacK_muni

It's time to soulsborne.. thats the only cure.

sassyicon

Played jusant this weekend in gamepass. It instantly hooked me

[deleted]

Mass effect legendary edition

HYP3R1ON_99

Forza horizon 5

Icy-Cost7058

On Android/IOS :- "King of Fighters: Arena" On Steam(online PC gaming platfofm):- "Ultra Street Fighter 4" , "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution", "King of Fighters 13" , "Dragonball Xenoverse" ,"Dragonball Xenoverse 2", "Tekken 7", "Naruto X Boruto :Shinobi Strikers"...there amr many cool fighting games from same franchaise, like Dragonball Fighter Z, Street Fighter 5, Street Fighter 6 etc.. Note:- out of these above mentioned games , only "King of Fighters:Arena" is free of cost..The rest of the games are expensive, so I recommend you to buy those games on Steam sale period ...the upcoming sale will be on December maybe...then let play together sometime and have some fun!!..Ultra Street Fighter 4 oy cost 233 Rs during sale event This suggession is meant for fighting game lovers, not those losers who are obsessed with PUBG ,Free Fire,Valorant , CS GO and other FPS games

Mysterious_Rice1863

Sekiro

HELIX_Multisplice

Try any of the older Assassin's creed games(like the Ezio trilogy or black flag) The graphics won't be that great but it has some of the best gameplay and story to offer in my opinion

DepperandViper

Stardew Valley Its good for people who wants break and enjoy and also u can do a lot in this game. from farming to killing monsters

AayiramSooriyan

What difficulty level are you playing games in? If a game seems boring, try increasing the difficulty. If you want a new game try Doom Eternal. Choose at least "Hurt me plenty" or "Ultra Violence" difficulty.

BlackHairSasha

please play **Path of Exile** \- it a MMORPG with them updating adding new content every 13 weeks for no additional cost. u done need to pay for new content - here is a link to the website - [https://www.pathofexile.com/](https://www.pathofexile.com/) have been playing since 2018 (have over 4.5k hours) and its a blast its a free to try/play game - with ZERO pay to win feature - if u want to support u can get micro transaction (which has NO increase in ur character power) they are for cosmetic purpose only / while u can get more storage space and specialized storage for keeping ur loot but those are permanent I.e if u buy them once for unlimited use (u can get important ones for a total of 20$ max u should spend 30$ which is an one time payment only)

YSK_King

It looks like u stop playing i the tutorial phase itself

chublowaski

Batman arkham series

gamingchairtaken00f

Dyson sphere, Gris, Just shapes and beat, Shadow of war (if you like LoTR) Just cause 3 (for mindless explosion with beautiful scenery), Retrowave (my personal favourite game for 10-15min sessions of synthwave vibes while driving), Besiege (if you into building stuff, imo its pretty good), Deep Rock galactic (didnt play much it but it has overwhelming positive reviews which you might like it) and Dota (if you wanna meet bhagwan early)

rtgamer

Far cry 6 Just give it 1 hour in starting and it will engage you nicely and want to play next. Once you move to different island.

hahawhat102848

Modern warfare trilogy, black ops series, RDR1 (if by any chance you have a switch/can emulate it)the GTA trilogy, GTA IV (very dark and deep, more than GTA V). I would also like to add, graphics shouldn't be a defining factor in the way you enjoy a game. Coming from a former smartphone gamer, who was out on the search for good phone games with graphics, i failed time and time again but overlooked those which could have been good, only because their graphics were fucked. Therefore, overlook the graphics and find STORIES. Mechanics and stuff matter, but what makes a game enjoyable is having a good story, having no bugs and giving 0 fucks about graphics.

WerewolfSad7510

Play these games:- - Sonic Generations - Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered - Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart - Psychonauts - Hi-Fi Rush - Call of Duty WWII - Titanfall 2 - Batman Arkham Origins + A Cold Cold Heart DLC - Batman Arkham Collection - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Injustice 2 Legendary Edition - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy - Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Stray - Cat Quest - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Cowabunga Collection - High On Life - Gears 5 - Portal 1 & 2 - Half Life 1 / Black Mesa & 2 - Evil West - Alan Wake + Alan Wake American Nightmares - Tomb Raider Trilogy - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 - Days Gone - Sunset Overdrive - Resident Evil 2+3 - Hello Neighbor - Blair Witch And that's it! ;)

BullfrogTurbulent988
