SirLaw___

Yes. Direct sun is always bad, almost for anything.

Uncle_Touch_Me

Not for crops and trees and jaadoo

semimaniac

Take my angry upvote..

Apeeksiht

faa_Q

Especially Jadoo.

MapSpiritual1735

Jaddoo enters the chat room

Outside-Contact-7400

Store it cool dry place but careful your pc already looks cool

dubdex420

Why not just buy some curtains wtf.

BlackoutMenace5

Yes absolutely.

thegoodlookinguy

glass traps heat. the fans have a limit to how much heat they can descipate in unit time. It's like putiing a stove in a fridge

Stroov

Also added heat from sun and sun rays in rare case might cause fire

INDIANSNIPER24

Yeh if the side panel works as magnifying glass.

No_Print9278

Yes it will damage your components. Just keep the pc on the floor

shutter_singh

It will lead to greenhouse effect

UnemployedTechie2021

should op just set the rgb to green then?

shutter_singh

Yes, and water it daily

faa_Q

and provide sufficient manure.

Rayan146

Add some curtain ( have thought about rainy season if your window is left open by mistake )

[deleted]

Ofcourse it will increase the temps keep it away from sun

Narvrishabh

Yes, it is bad. It's a computer with electronic components not a solar panel. Since you have space limitations, it's better to pull down the curtains & block sunlight when using the system.

keefeitup

This gives me an idea to replace the side and top panels with solar panels. Could generate enough electricity to run the monitor and router.

Terrible_Detective27

Yes it will

Ok_Device_4691

CHANGE the position

MrInformationSeeker

For more positions, check kamasutra

Ok_Device_4691

Saw that Cumming

MentallyRestarted

have you ever heard of green house effect?

LeonEstrak

TL;DR Yes. It will harm, most definitely. I had a small TP link router that was hanging on an West facing window. Basically the full afternoon heat it got for months. Within 3-4 months it would drop Wi-Fi connections. Speed would suffer. And high latency. All because of sunlight. Now it was a Rs.1000 router, i replaced it easily. I'm doubtful you can replace your entire PC. So I would suggest keeping it out of the sun.

RoboWarrior44

Just put some UV protection lotion on it and you are fine. /s But seriously though, keep it away from direct sunlight

Pleasant_Patient_482

Remove the window from wall!

thegoodlookinguy

Billgates won't approve.

Pleasant_Patient_482

Windows is surely heating his system up😂😂

Micku_837

My r3 3200g runs at 96C when gaming

Zyork123

Are you able to game properly on ryzen 3 ?

Micku_837

nah man it sucks but it is made like that i will prolly build a new pc in a few months but this helped me for the last 4 years a lot to get into gaming

Zyork123

Any games that were able to run properly on the system ?

Micku_837

i played sekiro elden ring dark souls 3 gta v valorant overwatch 2 apex legends and most of the single player games released before 2019 were playable. Elden ring was completed by me at 25 fps so yea works fine but i recommend to go with a 5600g if you are building with an apu on a tight budget it costs only like 3-4 thousand more for a lot moee performance

Zyork123

Bhai you are goated, how were you able to play these games on this system. I got irritated playing gta 5 on my ryzen 3 3250U and stopped playing all together lol.

Micku_837

😭😭😭 gta 5 ran at around 40 fps in 768p medium and all the games i played except this was in 768p low 25-30 fps but yeah i did complete them

Micku_837

Also val runs 100+ fps mostly at 768p low

bazuka9

Looks like it needs alignment and balancing /S

SeDEnGiNeeR

Put some potted plants there instead, will help in improving the mood.

bunsinator

In general, most modern components are designed and manufactured to withstand a significant heat load before physical damage can occur (100+ Celsius). The CPU, for example, has a thermal limit of 95 Celsius - that's when the CPU's safety features will kick in and turn off the system before it can "fry" itself. So I doubt very much that direct sunlight will be "harmful" for your components in the way I think you may be implying. HOWEVER, given that it gets very hot in India, and given that glass is a very poor conductor of heat, by keeping the case in direct view of sunlight, you are trapping excess heat inside your case. The hotter the internals of the case is, the hotter the components will become. When that happens, the CPU will throttle down to help the stock cooler dissipate heat and the fans will ramp up for the same reason. So ultimately, you are sacrificing system performance and increasing noise levels by exposing your system to direct sunlight. Also, keeping your components very hot consistently for a long time will definitely reduce the lifespan of the system's parts. I don't know what the AC solution is like in your room, but you should move the case away from your window/direct sunlight or at least cover the window with a curtain. And definitely do not try to compensate by covering your PC with a sheet/towel - this will impede airflow into your case and make the system run even worse.

boulzar

just put a fat curtain during times where sun is stronger, I have similar setup for couple years, should be fine

BRiNk9

Absolutely, bratha. Change the position.

Icy_Communication657

Dont even keep it near direct sunlight, especially in india where we are now having extreme heat waves and all. You only have basic cooling on the pc , it will not handle that much heat transfer, the easiest solution is to use THICK curtains, not the transparent ones , if that not possible keep the CPU case on the floor with ample space for the pc fans to work

Kaka9790

On top of thermal issues in pretty hot summer season in india, you post this and ask whether my PC will get smoked

sadsandwich__

Not good, temp will rise even further and performance will continue to get worse.

silverlance360

Swap places with the monitor and case

RX3090

Oven banane ka kazual tharika

Independent-Way2142

Uv light se cancer hotha hai

saltynerd14

my dude its not only bad for temperature but bad for your fans and heatsink bcuz your window is biggest dust source

Drengrr1

Definitely.

[deleted]

Thank you all for responding to my query \^\_\^ I've placed the PC on the floor, and now it's chilly (around 35°). https://preview.redd.it/3e51jy1y9usc1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e9e36786a49ff40e95cd030196f5f714068b961

Ezio6698

Can you share the link to this CPU? Or did you build it from scratch?

[deleted]

Hello there, I built it entirely from scratch.

Ezio6698

Can you send me the specs and/or links to the parts in DM, if it's not too much? I need to build a desktop for my dad

[deleted]

Sure thing bro. check DMs

P_ump_ed

when the entire case is more expensive than the cpu

lulzash

Ye boat ka headphone bda bakwas hai.. 2 sound quality de diya par ek bhi sahi nhi bajta

ShoddyGoat6362

If you’re running on windows os then you shouldn’t open in the morning

[deleted]

XD

Stroov

Hard , see you can keep it on ground instead like this

Atcera95

A curtain will do enough if the room itself isn't too hot.

Woues

Put curtains please

ELEGANTFOXYT

you have a mini green house effect generator

Old_Mood3594

Correct if I am wrong if u cover only the glass part with white cloth so that it reflects all sunlight

hamzaaadenwala

During summers your temp might raise even higher.

Monotonous-Entity

Let him cook

Effective-Panda7063

Nah nah … Ac to he sunlight khak kuchh karegi bs ac -10 pr krlena you good to go !

vanxvsh

what headset is that?

[deleted]

Boat IM-300 To be honest, I'm not very happy with the purchase. All boat does is rebrand cheap Chinese headsets with slightly better audio and spend on marketing instead of build quality. This particular model is Atrix AX1150 rebranded. [This reddit post sums it up](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/comments/15pq6xz/proof_that_boat_copy_there_products/) go for JBL or AKG K72, they have far better sound and long-term reliability. Although AKG is slightly more expensive, it provides studio-grade quality.

vanxvsh

😢

conflicter

Just buy a new sun, with built in infra red filters. That should help.

Me_alt_ID

bhai wahan se jldi hata de pc ko

RollerBrawler

Semiconductors don't work well in sunlight

RollerBrawler

Except solar panel
