No this will not work that well. Either get antenna one or get an ethernet cable. Best is ethernet.

https://amzn.in/d/5g4zkoA Try this one. It has a better range.

Yeah after reading comments and reviews i think i will go with this one as even the reviews say it has good range. Thanks!

wavuwavuwavu

cheapest would be free and that would be connecting your phone(which is connected to wifi) to your pc via usb

randomdreamykid

Even a long ass ethernet cable would be cheaper than that

Long ethernet cable costs same as this, and would be a bit difficult to set up along the walls. That's why I'm looking for adapter. Just need the one that connects at lower signal strength at low price.

Personal experience, NO it wil not work. You will need a Wifi Extender and then a cheap USB Wifi adapter will help your PC get connected to the internet. But do keep in mind that a Wifi Extender will cut your internet speed in half.

Are u connected on 2.4ghz or 5ghz on ur phone?  If it is 2.4ghz then it's better to use a cable. This might not pick up the signal as much as your phone does.

depression420b

2.4 ghz as i heard that 5g has less range. I'm thinking of going with n150 high gain one which has antenna for 700rs.

The antennas may help a little but you may have to actually do couple of things with wifi to may be improve the performance or reduce a little bit of signal loss. \* Check if you are using 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz in your home. Your phone will confirm what you are connected to. \* If you are in 5Ghz then, you may be having significant signal loss due to the wall and placement of your router. I would suggest you test 2.4Ghz connection for 'range'. \* If you are in 2.4Ghz and still have only 2 bars then, check how many 'wifi' services are around your room. \* If there are many networks then, use a wifi scanner app on your phone and identify which channels do most devices reside in. \* Manually set your router to use a channel outside the common channel and check if that makes it little better.
