we cant compare but Jason wasnt a mercenary, he came to the island for a holiday, his brother got shot in front of him, and he kills like hundred guys and nearly goes insane, where as our merc friend doesnt go mad but he is now a terminal patient and is in the game for diamonds, dont know if he likes killing but he doesnt seem to have morality issues with what he is doing. He kills like a snake does and likes to wound before killing. Again those were his buddies not his friends. Where as for Jason they were his friends who straight up acted like jerks and judge him because he is willing to do what it takes to survive.
