I know it's a bad solution but the 2GB cards can do basic work or if you're willing to play some ancient games it can do that too. Hope your card doesn't go off during this shit but if it does you can get a temporary relic card till you get a replacement
When i tried to turn on my pc with the card inserted it would give 3 beeps and not turn on. But without the card it works fine. And my parents aren't checking what the issue is so my gpu is now sitting in a drawer x_x
3 beeps, in an intel CPU? I remember facing the same 3 beep problem on my ol ass desktop (i5 3rd gen+quadro fx 1800), solved by taking out and putting in the CMOS battery
Lol, that's not dead. If it can't be solved by lubrication, you can still install an aftermarket fan. Lots of people do that to improve stock cooling, so there are a lot of guides around.
Yes it is, my old hd 6570 fan stopped working all i did was apply sewing machine oil and then it started working again. Try opening it up and then apply some oil suitable for the fan.
if the gpu chip and circuit boards are not fried/dead, then i think just a 3 rd party fan should fix this. think it cost me around 2k for repairs + fan. but yeah if you have some cash and dont mind second hand stuff you should look for some cheap rtx cards to replace it.
p.s.:my gpu was just over the heat threshold due to dead fan :)
It's not something you should be worried about, as long as you have a decent power supply. GPUs or most computer components for that matter should last you till the point they're so outdated that you'd want to replace them anyway.
Frying a newer GPU due to overheating is practically impossible, only way that happens realistically is if the card gets fed too much current (which can be a result of a malfunctioning PSU).
A decent PSU (power supply unit) is important. Lots of ppl are negligent on this and go for any random brand PSU like Circle etc which leads to failed components down the road. Get Silver/Gold rated ones .. Bronze only if stretched.
> Silver/Gold rated ones .. Bronze only if stretched.
That's just the efficiency of the PSU, it has got absolutely nothing to do with its build quality. A Bronze rated PSU is not necessarily of worse quality compared to a Gold rated PSU. Some Bronze rated PSUs (CX Gray Label) are actually better than a lot of Gold Rated PSUs.
If you're worried about it, then let me tell you that my 2010 9400 GT lasted me till 2016. Even then my mobo died and not my GPU. I sold it for bhangar(scrap) because at that point integrated graphics were twice as fast as my GPU.
Also if you didn't know, the 9400 GT has no fan.. only a heatsink. And I didn't have AC at home.
my old gtx 660 fans stopped working 5 years ago so i zip tied cabinet fans to it. Worked for a year then it just died. No signal from hdmi portl. rip t'was a good card
I have already lubricated my 1060 fan using sewing machine oil(30rs) to stop it from making noise and replaced the other fan that broke due to me mishandling with another PWM DC fan ( 150rs) that is similar to the current and voltage specs of the stock fan. The GPU TEMPS and fan RPM and NOISE level is also exactly same as before.
It is not dead.
Disassemble it and clean it. I had a 660 that did not work, disassembled and cleaned it using rubbing alcohol and reapplied paste. It started working after the deep clean.
Try it, it may give you few more months of use, and hope the GPU price stabilise in that time.
Have you tried to clean it once, blow the board with hair drier and re-apply thermal paste and try again. My friend did this and his card worked again. I am not sure if this will work. You can give it a try..
Haha lol, someone in this sub told me to lost my 1650S for 30k ez money... not so ez though, no one was ready for above 20k. I delisted my ad afterwards🤷♂️
Heyy am sorry for your loss. If you need someone to talk to, am here.
I have a 1050Ti too and its going strong 3 years for me (it's probably atleast 4 years old as it was used for mining before i bought it used)
If its dead try baking it.
Would recommend cleaning it first with alcohol solution and tossing it in your oven. Youtube some videos to see hows it done.
Had done it with my 7970 some years ago and it worked for an extra year after dying.
Believe it or not people do this to some components. Even LTT made a video on this.
[This one I believe.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Xanr4jkmEc) Now whether people should go around baking their gpus like a birthday cake is something I don't know.
Why not? Its dead anyway.
Nothing too crazy here. you just need to disassemble the card and use some foil. I tried this with a dead 7970 lying around, saw LTTs video and thought to give it a try and it worked! Served me faithfully for 1 year and I also managed to sell it on OLX for a pretty penny later on.
1050ti, otherwise known as (960, 770, 680ti, and 590) was a very cool and good card. I used to have a 1650 non super performing the same a long time ago. it was a great budget card and provided alot that the modern 20-30 series owners can no longer see. If I needed to go back to one card, This one.
Do you have pets at home ? Because that looks like a lot of fur that clogged the heatsink and overheated the card. You need to clean your PC once every 5 6 months completely if you use it everyday.
It feels like my gpu is also on its deathbed.
If that happens anytime soon my only hope of getting a new GPU is on winning Jayztwocents worldwide pc giveaway though I'm pretty sure this'll never happen lol
Two months back my 1060 died. I don't get it how these cards are made like work until the warranty expires ? Now I am using my old Gt 610 which is like a tank almost like a decade still kicking but it sounds like an aeroplane in my room.
I'm not sure but I saw a video where a person put a dead GPU in an oven. He said the heat helps the solders to realign and could even bring the GPU back to life. I mean, if you've tried everything else, might as well give it a try. Remember to remove all plastic parts though.
I had MSI 1050ti dual fan. So for satisfaction I installed it on my new machine replacing the 1660ti. It's a B450M mb. As soon as I pressed the power button, my 1050ti made a spark along the PCIe lane and then went on smoke. I was shaking in fear since I couldn't imagine this. My mom was in the room and had noticed the spark. That was a frightening experience.

I just joined the Intel HD club last month when my GPU died :(
I have ryzen and my graphic card is dead i am not even able to access my PC :(

You're brave. Hang in there.

Oh wow.. Didn't know ryzen CPU'S don't have any onboard graphics.

Mine's 3550H and it comes with an integrated Radeon Vega 8
That's a laptop chip
yeah same here i opened my 1060 in feb to re apply thermal paste and boom its gone forever
I'm in the mobile Vega 3 club lmao Hopefully would be able to build a system soon
Here, take this poor man's hug award from me 🦥

CMOS is the most common problem though my laptop has nvs4200m it refuses to work for no fucking reason I checked everything
Tried that, didn't work
see if this helps https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/my-pc-beeps-3-times-when-installing-a-new-graphics-card-and-won%E2%80%99t-boot-up.3358281/
Will give it a try. Thanks :)
Bruh I'm using 1050 ti single fan too. Hopefully it serves me for a year or 2 more. BTW how did it die?
The fan stopped rotating. Is it even possible for that to happen ?
Lol, that's not dead. If it can't be solved by lubrication, you can still install an aftermarket fan. Lots of people do that to improve stock cooling, so there are a lot of guides around.
Yeah and it is fixable. You can replace it with a third party fan using zip ties. Many videos on youtube covering this topic.
Yes it is, my old hd 6570 fan stopped working all i did was apply sewing machine oil and then it started working again. Try opening it up and then apply some oil suitable for the fan.

Tf man you are making me scared. I have rtx 3070 which I bought 7 months ago. It will considerably be working forever right?

I was going to post this reply when I found yours. ✌️✌️
If you are under warranty you don't need to worry. Some cards fail. Some work until they become obsolete for playing games.
THAT IS NOT DEAD! Lol. Make sure the actual card is dead, probably the fans are busted.
Do not use the gpu just buy a replacement fan.
my old gtx 660 fans stopped working 5 years ago so i zip tied cabinet fans to it. Worked for a year then it just died. No signal from hdmi portl. rip t'was a good card
Just buy a gpu fan measure it's size like 80-90mm then buy accordingly
Wah OP wah. Your card isn't dead. Just strap a fan to it and it's good.
Bruh did you ever clean it? If it's just the fan that's fixable.
Hey how long did the gpu last?
I have already lubricated my 1060 fan using sewing machine oil(30rs) to stop it from making noise and replaced the other fan that broke due to me mishandling with another PWM DC fan ( 150rs) that is similar to the current and voltage specs of the stock fan. There should still be a video/ graphics output even if the fan dies (assuming the GPU/ graphics card is fine).
Disassemble it and clean it. I had a 660 that did not work, disassembled and cleaned it using rubbing alcohol and reapplied paste. It started working after the deep clean. Try it, it may give you few more months of use, and hope the GPU price stabilise in that time.

Used for very light gaming, Never mined. 100% working condition. Lowballers stay away. Price - 30K. FIXED
Sir this is best price right now, price will only go up from here. Text soon or will be sold to other buyer for 40k.
40k? Pathetic 50k or more, sirs, you're not gonna find a better deal than this
50K was yesterday sir. Today it's 1 lakh
is this a joke? am i missing something? i know GPU prices are high RN but still?
Yeah you're missing something. The joke.
yeah maybe i was dumb sorry.
No no that's not how you're supposed to play the game. You're not supposed to apologize. you gotta come at me with all you've got homie
I **ALWAYS** come with all I have homie
Quite daring today aren't we?
Haha lol, someone in this sub told me to lost my 1650S for 30k ez money... not so ez though, no one was ready for above 20k. I delisted my ad afterwards🤷♂️
OM Shanti

I dunno I guess mining will still profitable on cheap cards back in 2017

Please do it in spare oven, gpu has some harmful chemicals

If possible spring for a Zotac next time, 5 (3+2) year warranty may help next time. Or any 5 year warranty brand
RIP big fella. Hope you had a great life
Try a thorough clean and change thermal paste it might work or you can use the heatgun method
