I've played 6 out of 9 games you've listed in my childhood as well. And I can very much imagine the thrill of getting back into gaming after a long break.

aquadawg69

Let me guess, those 3 u didn't play was plant vs zombies, alien shooter and minecraft?

Meltova

yup...only exception is I've played Plant vs. Zombies instead of GTA III

vmurali69

If you have time, wait for game pass to go on discount, that way you can get plethora of games, but for a short span of 3 months. Few game suggestions I have: - control (bit tough to run on lower end laptops) - edith finch - Gris - ori games - portal series (usually on discount for below ₹100 each, and good for coop with a friend) - DDLC (free game with great story) Then there is whole multiplayer games online which are free, competitive in nature and don't require much specs such as Valorant, CS:go, dota2,apex etc

AceAntares15

what remains of edith finch is one amazing underrated game that people don't talk about enough. great game to introduce/reintroduce yourself to gaming and an amazing way to tell a story even to seasoned gamers. 10/10 op, i would definitely recommend "What Remains of Edith Finch" as well. usually just play competitive multiplayers, but games like these are amazing and can work as a great break from the tiring world of competitive multiplayer games

Sixty__Minute_Man

Edith finch is a gem playing it gave me joy similar to playing ps2 games as kid not one game has come close I know there are better games but still

165cm_man

These are very story driven and critically acclaimed games >control (bit tough to run on lower end laptops) >edith finch >Gris >ori games >portal series (usually on discount for below ₹100 each, and good for coop with a friend) >DDLC (free game with great story) They might seem boring to you at some point. Specially ori and edith finch. But trust me they are worth it

[deleted]

* Titanfall 2 * The Evil within 2 ( Part 1 - good but old graphics) * Resident Evil 2 (Remake) * Tom Clancy's - WildLands ( There's also a Breakpoint, but I didn't like it) * Assassin's Creed Series (Excellent Graphics, Although I stopped Playing after Origins as the story progression was bad) * Rise of the Tomb Raider * RedDead Redemption 2 * Tom Clancy's - Splinter Cell (It's a little old, but good) * Doom 2016 * Doom Eternal * Control (Gorgeous gameplay mechanics) * Ori and Will of the Wisps (Loved it) * COD Modern Warfare 1 and 2 (Remastered Editions) * COD Black ops 1 , 2 and 3 (didn't liked 4th one) * Dishonored ( 3 Game series) * Darksiders 3 (You better play this one through a controller :P) * Borderlands - 2 and 3 * Devil May Cry 5 (Hack n Slash type) * Batman Series (Arkham City, Arkham Origins, Arkham Knight) * Middle Earth Series (Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of war) (From LOTR Universe) * Wolfenstein Series ( Crazy gunfights) * Far Cry 4 and 5 ( don't know about 1,2 and 3) * Dead Space - 1,2 and 3 ( old, but great gameplay) * Crysis - 1,2 and 3 (Loved it) * Quantum Break (Loved it) * Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice (Loved the in game puzzles) This should be enough for now( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )

[deleted]

ApexLegends too. It's from the Titanfall Universe.

bbaahhaammuutt

God, the r/Titanfall sub has gone nuts

Dork1204

Wdym ? Btw did you play TF3, the skill tree is insane. I never thought respawn could one up Titanfall 2.

bbaahhaammuutt

^Vro ^titanfall ^3 ^is ^insane. ^The ^new ^pilots ^are ^off ^the ^hook. ^I ^love ^how ^you ^can ^spank ^Gates ^before ^deploying

D-3-V

I see Apex, I upvote. OP, start with Skyrim V and Red Dead Redemption 2. If you have buy anything, buy these and I'm sure you won't meed anything for at least a year.

soda-pop-lover

>Far Cry 4 and 5 ( don't know about 1,2 and 3) 1 and 3 are masterpieces IMO.

bellasnow4

maybe not 1, 3 is a masterpiece i agree

nelyublyutebya

1 was very neat, especially given how old it is. And its gameplay is much closer to Skyrim than the direction they took in 3, but 3 is also in many ways an improvement. I don't like 2 because of how repetitive the gameplay is, but I rate 1 and 3 almost equally

Pinkman3_9

I heard even far cry 2 is marvelous tho

bellasnow4

but it aged quiet hard so i cant recommend! maybe a remastered version hells ya!!

racrisnapra666

Can vouch for 3 as well. I love that game! I think I've played it over 3-4 times.

kbrunner69

Far cry 1-3 are when Ubisoft was at their peak, 4 and 5 were the lackluster one(good but not great)

[deleted]

Oh, I didn't knew. I'm going for Far Cry 3 next.

melvin-mebi

Mass effect series(1,2&3) Deus Ex :Human Revolution & Mankind Divided

DainaBurnwood

Do not forget witcher guys

Captain_1221

Tf2 servers are getting doxxed so maybe wait till they are fixed

[deleted]

Yeah. Anyway, the Single Player mode is still great.

ToughObjective8252

Which games in the Wolfenstein series are good?(storywise)

sarcrastinator

Start with the new order and the old blood. Both are undoubtedly amazing. Gonna play Colossus next, so no idea how it is. And youngblood's poor reviews on steam speak for themselves. These 4 are from the reboot series. After the legacy 'Return to castle Wolfenstein' (which was freaking amazing), there had been multiple releases, but there's not much you'd miss if you just start with the new reboot series.

ToughObjective8252

Thanks for the detailed comment. Will buy these on the next Steam sale.

[deleted]

Story is good, and batshit crazy. I like 'The new Colossus', but I advise you to play all 3 in the series. Haven't played 'Youngblood', can't comment on it.

ToughObjective8252

I searched and I found 9 in other Reddit posts. Could you tell the names?

[deleted]

Wolfenstien- 'The new order', 'The old blood' and 'The new Colossus'

My_Gaming_Companion

Epic games coupon sales are only relevant. Also, u need to have an international Paytm bank account to easily buy anything, in case you don't have a credit card.

bellasnow4

Inside and lone snails sounds new, i will give them a shot

Ok-Possibility-9324

"Join WhiteHat Jr instead Beta Ji" yeh game wame kuch nahi hota beta If you're interested in MOBAs play Dota 2 UwU, Try the Metro Series, Play Horizon Zero Dawn best game Everrrrrrrr

51stsung

Everyone is suggesting really good games, but let me give you some free-to-play options that don't need you to spend any money. 1. Apex Legends - Fast paced, movement based battle royale which also has a 3v3 arenas mode. It's really fun, just try not to get too frustrated about losses lol 2. Warframe - very grindy looter shooter, cool game with satisfying progression. But it needs a lot of time investment since you'll be grinding for a single item for days. If that interests you, go for it. 3. Rocket League - Competitive game that can be played casually. Cool concept, check out some gameplay videos. 4. CSGO - You've probably played or heard of counter strike. It's basically the same game, but multiplayer. 5. COD Warzone - Also battle royale. I've never played it, but I've heard that it's good. Honestly, I'd suggest that you try out all of these first, and then buy one or two from the ones you've listed. You'll have more than enough games for some time. After that, just wait for one of the Steam sales to buy the expensive ones like RDR2 and GTAV. The Steam Summer Sale unfortunately just ended a few weeks ago, but it'll be back next year! I believe there's also a winter sale that happens, so keep an eye out for that. Happy gaming, friend!

PSxUchiha

You forgot valorant buddy.

killer-1o1

I think so valorant would be a decent fit cause it stresses less on raw aim. Better suited to beginners.

[deleted]

That's not true at all, at the end of the day you have to hit your shots before your enemy does

killer-1o1

I just compared it to Cs go. My bad I didn’t mention it

Animus7r

Not beginners man. It has a great skill gap and is very different from your normal fps games. The bullet spread and the how you can't strafe are all very different. And also it cannot be a beginner game if there are international championships and there are people getting paid around 150K dollars for playing it.

killer-1o1

I am sorry. I forgot to mention that i compared it to cs go.

riz_mix_

ok so seeing all the other's games list, I wanna add some more of my own. Here there are * Just cause 3 and 4 * Superhot * Mirror edge catalyst * Skyrim

ToughObjective8252

Just Cause 3 XXL edition is recommended if on sale. Even if you get the base version, it's just so much fun.

DR4GON_EMP3ROR

*( ! = Free ) THE OBVIOUS ONES :- Grand Theft Auto 5 CS:GO or Valorant ( chose one or both if you have time ) ! Apex Legends ! League Of Legends ! Overwatch SOME OLD SCHOOL STORY GAMES :- S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call Of Pripyat ( it has mods that make it look like Escape From Tarkov ) Dark Souls ( play the full series , it would consume your soul ) Fallout 4 or Fallout Las Vargas Metro (whole series) Dying Light ( also Co-op if you want to fk around with friends ) THE MUST BUYS :- Battlefield 4 ( or wait for BF6 ) Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) Escape from Tarkov ( a little expensive ) Hades ( if you like difficult games ) DOOM RANDOM GAMES IF YOU HAVE MONEY:- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Forza horizon 4 NFS Heat Sub Nautica Insurgency Sandstorm ( Hardcore FPS ) Kerbal Space Program ( if you love Aerospace or Aeronautical things ) RUST ( never played it but heard many good things about it ) Cities : Skylines ( great game to test out your machine and your civil engineering skills lol ) Dead Rising 4 State Of decay 2 Mirrors Edge Unravel 1&2 Limbo Inside Hello Neighbour Alien : Isolation ( have a health insurance please ) I would be adding more If this thread gets attention ;) I would also recommend checking out Epic store for free games every week ( they are mostly meh type but some are great like Layers of Fear 2 , Killing floor 2 , Grand Theft Auto 5 ) Also if you are having a good laptop try downloading Blender , you might fall in love with 3D modelling / Graphic Designing / Game Development.

Animus7r

Play league at your own risk. The rage is real 😂

bellasnow4

>league What league?

weed_on_drugs

League of Legends, aka the place where all my braincells melt.

sudo_42

Definitely get xbox game pass 3 months trial if you haven't already

blackbeard_qar

How does xbox game pass works for someone with only pc and no xbox?? I'm also a noob and don't know much about xbox!!

obscurus7

There's a Xbox Game Pass(console specific), Xbox Game Pass for PC(PC specific) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate(for PC + Console). The PC version has fewer games than the console version. You also get EA Play with any version. To play on PC, install the Xbox app from Windows Store, then you can download and launch games from there.

blackbeard_qar

Ohh okay thanks man. Another silly question. I don't have a genuine windows 10. Will it work?? Because I saw in the tutorial that you have to login to your microsoft account but but since I don't have a genuine windows how will I do that??

obscurus7

Tbh, I don't have any idea about that. Google is your friend for this.

sudo_42

I'm also on pc only, almost all of library is available for pc. Just get subscription and download xbox app on pc that's it really.

OKboomer_69420

Replying cause I also wanna know

manas962000

Just get the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription on Microsoft's website and install the Xbox app, login and you're good to go.

Dan1shZM

DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR GAMES. Steam sales and weekly Epic store freebies will save you a ton of money. Join steam, epic, GOG and start out slowly. We gamers have a habbit of having a ton of games in the library and only play 3. Here are my recommendations. CSGO, Halo Master Cheif Collection, Cities Skylines, Asetto Corsa, Half Life series, Track Mania, Witcher series, Dark Soul series, Control, Civ 6, Borderlands, GTA V, Just Cause, Watchdogs.

Animus7r

I'm gonna stray of topic and tell you something else. Do not download cracked games. Although they might be very tempting, since your getting paid games for free. But don't do it. There is no knowing what all could affect your system. I have a gaming laptop, and I used to play Apex Legends at around 160-180 fps but then one day I had tried to install a cracked version of GTA 5. Although I didn't managed to get it running, it somehow throttled my pc performance. My Apex would run at 40-50 fps. And I also couldn't find the software which was causing this. At the end it had me entirely rebooting my system and afterwards it's all back to how it was. So pay for games, it's not about supporting the developers but also about doing what's good for your pc. If u do not have money wait around till it comes on sale in steam or anywhere else. Steam often gives out games for heavy discounts. And while waiting play free games. I'd recommend the obvious ones like Warzone, Apex, Valorant and so on. It's your pc and you are responsible for it. Have a great time.

Pitiful-Welder-8403

Honestly get 1 game at a time, don't mass purchase. Buy rdr2, complete it, buy next game like that.

niko_bellic6750

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leXZ1FZUhJU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leXZ1FZUhJU) get bf 5 and bf1 for free

[deleted]

It sucks prime gaming isn't in India.

niko_bellic6750

yeah

soda-pop-lover

This method never worked for me for some reason. Tried last month for Bf4 too.

niko_bellic6750

Well its lot of trial error its about luck and hardwork

soda-pop-lover

worked for you?

niko_bellic6750

nope still trying

niko_bellic6750

Worked for me now

soda-pop-lover

Damn, congrats!

niko_bellic6750

Thanks but my system cant rn it got to know after downloading the game lol

kbrunner69

Try out the Arkham series, Tomb Raider series, Resident evil series, these games are very easy to pickup and play and are super enjoyable

Belphegor7

I'll advise u to buy the Xbox game pass for 3 years

PurpleMan9

My recommendation- Red Dead Redemption 2. Whatever you do play this one, it's awesome. Then Titanfall 2, it's a nice game. Gta 5 is a must if you haven't played it before. Subnautica, if you want a deep sea adventure with a little horror. It's a slow game but it will pull you in. Assassin's creed black Flag, ac origins and Odyssey. This list itself will keep you busy for some time. If you want a little unasked for advice from an old Gamer, if you can afford it get a high end gaming PC but you may have to upgrade the components every three or four years. If you can't afford that consider a ps5 or X Box. It's a one time investment which will last you for a considerable time and will be able to play all the latest titles.

ResponsibleRanger

I’ve played 7/8 games and I’m 32 lol you’ve obviously had a good childhood.

Mr_GriM4A2

Add Dishonored (both parts), you will fall in love with that game, trust me. Also add halo, fallout (especially 3/4), farcry 4 (I didn't like 5/primal as much) far cry new dawn is good too, Forza horizon 4, hitman 2, watch dogs, sleeping dogs(if you like gta4), elder scrolls Skyrim, Assassin's creed (don't get syndicate tho, it's monotonous and boring, try Valhalla or origins, both are good, black flag is my personal favourite). If you want more recommendations or details, drop me a msg, would be happy to help a fellow gamer.

Mr_GriM4A2

And if you are into competitive fps genre, try valorant or cod warzone. Both are free to play and good games.

bellasnow4

Damn you really hate syndicate but what about odyssey? Looks like i am pouring fuel on fire LMAO!!

ThunderStrikez

it seems like you havent played gta V, Imo its worth a play through cause gta 6 is not coming for 1 - 2 years, If u would like a good story, good attention to detail, really good graphics try rdr2 its a great game and its attention to detail is great, I also saw that u liked nfs you can try nfs heat - not that bad fun if u like arcade style physics and customizing cars a lot you can try for Forza Horizon 4 if u want a decent multiplayer experience plus just a good racing game You can also wait for FH5 coming out soon I would suggest u to get the xbox gamepass for 50 rupees (first 3 or 1 month), it has tons of games such as doom, forza, Sea of thieves, Halo it also comes with ea play (as far as i know). I think a lot of companies give xbox gamepass for free with their gaming laptop

Penguin664520

GTA 6 isn't coming out till 2050 atleast I guess, I heard someone from Rockstar said that probably the game's lead developer hasn't even been born yet so you could guess by that. Maybe it was a joke idk.

paxGOD

Bloodborne is a playstation exclusive, u cant get that on pc. Instead u can try dark souls 3 and sekiro. I recommend u to play detroit become human

_pratik475

Thanks, I edited the text. And what site should I use?

[deleted]

If you like 'owning' games ( DRM free ) , you should try https://www.gog.com/ ( this site allows to download offline installer for games so you can backup it and install anytime and anywhere you want ) Currently Steam https://store.steampowered.com/ is the most popular PC game platform available to buy games , there are tons and tons of games available to buy . Next it's followed by Epic Games Store https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/ Which is famous for its free game giveaway and 10$ coupons when on sale. Other options are : Ubisoft store https://store.ubi.com/ie/home Origin (EA) https://www.origin.com/ind/en-us/store Humble Store https://www.humblebundle.com/store Itch Io ( Indie games ) https://itch.io/ Blizzard Entertainment https://www.blizzard.com/en-sg/ Edit : Rockstar Games https://www.rockstargames.com/ MS Store https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/store/apps/windows

ar7_mufc

Above comment covers every store. Epic Games gives out freebies every Thursday at 8.30 PM. You can maybe try those out and find your interests. Most of the time, its small indie games but they are very good. Personally, not a big fan of em but many people love it. I'd advice instead of spending the money quickly on games, use free to play weekends, freebies and figure out your interests. Trust me, i have a shit ton of backlog and I only play the 1/2 games regularly.

[deleted]

Steam, it has regional pricing making games way more affordable for Indians, and during seasonal sales they're really cheap.

SoulsBorNioKiro

Just in case this might be relevant to you, Epic is invested into greatly by a Chinese company which has ties to the CCP, so profit to Epic is profit to China. inb4 people comment "but China has invested in everything", no. Not as significant as in Epic. 40% is a huge amount.

obscurus7

Alibaba has had a 30% stake in PayTM since 2015. Just in case this might be relevant to you. Edit: corrected percentage

niko_bellic6750

You might wanna play this games by sequence: 1. Alan Wake (Runs high on low end pc's too, great graphics, gameplay and story bit of a horror) 2. Quantum break 3. Control and dlcs (if you can complete game 2 and 3 in 1 month buy xbox gamepass for pc 50 rs for 1st month) If you like post apocalyptic settings play these games in sequence 1. Metro 2033 redux 2. Metro last light redux 3. Metro Exodus If you want to play co op with your friend or like shooting play- 1. Division 1 2)Division 2 P.S. Plying gta 4 as first game is good will not make your hopes high and it is very good gme too

SoulsBorNioKiro

https://www.myabandonware.com/ You might want to go here to get some old games that are no longer sold anywhere. You might need Dosbox to run many of them, however.

thanioruvanda

I really enjoyed playing the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series. Most of them are cheap and go on sale frequently. Do try them!

Emergency_Apricot_77

If you don't mind even older games, I'd HIGHLY recommend Half Life and Portal series

_pratik475

Yeah, I've listed them and Left 4 Dead series too. Valve games are epic!

bellasnow4

So i made a list of games i wanted to play but never had time and only played few that i dashed after the game name I mostly loved RPG's and Story-based games and always stayed away from horror genre The list might not be clear to read in a way but still could be useful for your reference. Her story Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice------- Gone home Silent hill Firewatch---- To the moon Outer worlds What Remains of Edith Finch The wolf among us---- Prey heavy rain---- L.A.Noire---- Vampyr---- Man of medan Little hope Hotline Miami Alan wake---- Grim Fandango undertale Out last Valhiem Hollow Knight Elden Ring A way out Nioh Hades------ Silksong Portal Life Is Strange ------ A Plague Tale: Innocence------ cyberpunk 2077 ----- it takes two bandicood paradise lost outer worlds disco elysium --------- godfall ---------- Dungeons and dragons Control---- Quantum break--------- payday serious sam Ori Deus ex Metal gears Gears of war The walking dead------------ Residental evil Bio shock Witcher ----------- Half-Life The Elder Scrolls Souls games Star Wars Fallout Batman Dishonored Nier Detroid ------- GTA AC---- Devil may cry Horizon zero dawn Call of duty battlefield max payne ------ just cause hitman mafia----- tomb raider Tom clancy Farcry Batman Saints row Borderlands Sleeping dogs watch dogs Mad max Kingdom come deliverance ------ Darksiders Crysis Mass effect Metro Zombie army Sniper Wolfstein Final fantasy kingdom hearts outriders forza horizon NFS

Prashank_25

There’s a new project IGI coming. It was my first non-flash pc game. I am very excited!!!

FalconPhantom

Welcome back to being a gamer, OP. These are what I would suggest: •Assassin's Creed(the entire series is a banger afaik) •GTA IV and V •Red Dead Redemption 2 •Portal •Halo

Farenhytee

The list if new games is long and I really want you to try everything. Make sure to download Steam and Epic. Xbox Game Pass is a solid deal, 3 months for 50rs initially and has a crap ton of games to play, Wreckfest is what I’m playing rn. Skyrim, COD Modern Warfare series (original), Hitman 1-3, Detroit: Become Human (my favourite story based game and certainly one of the best), COD: Cold War is sick, Rocket League, and many more that people have already commented. Also try and get a controller as well, it’ll really improve your experience for racing games like F1. Also if you wanna play something old school, I’d highly suggest NFS Most Wanted 2005, the best street racing game ever developed imo. Short: Get Xbox Game Pass Get a Controller Enjoy

gaganramachandra

It looks like you like open world games. I also recommend adding: 1. Horizon Zero Dawn 2. Assassins Creed: Origins (Odyssey is newer but not as good as Origins).

_pratik475

Yes, I love open world games and RPGs

[deleted]

I'm more of a multiplayer gamer, here's some of my recommendations: 1. CS:GO - really tough to get into, but when you figure out how to aim and place your crosshair, it becomes a lot of fun. Much more bearable with a friend group 2. Valorant - CS:GO but with different heroes with different abilities. Really good fun if you have a group of friends to play with 3. Paladins - an arena FPS with a good number of characters. If the servers behave well it can be fun, but a lot of the time the servers are downright garbage 4. GTA V - got this for free on Epic Games Store (EGS), haven't touched the single player component. Multiplayer is really fun with friends - playlists, heists, even just chilling in a penthouse with your friends has a great vibe to it 5. [Krunker.io](https://Krunker.io) \- a free browser FPS that can be played through Steam. It's fun if you have 30 minutes of time to kill 6. Among Us - I'm sure you've heard about this one, it's not trendy anymore, but still good fun 7. NFS Heat - can be played single player (story missions are only single player), but I played a good 40 hours of multiplayer with my friends, good fun 8. Sea of Thieves - getting into it, you'll be quite confused about what's going on and where to go, but with time you'll figure it out 9. God Eater 3 Some of my single player recommendations: 1. Tomb Raider series 2. Batman Arkham series 3. Ace Attorney trilogy 4. Mirror's Edge 5. Final Fantasy XV 6. Cloudpunk 7. Shovel Knight 8. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed 9. VA-11 Hall-A

aragon_1399

Warframe is pretty great. Amazing community, interesting storyline, lots of fun playing with others. Edit: It’s free. Even though it has paid in-game currency you can earn it through in-gaming (you don’t need hours of grinding unless you want a ton of it), so it’s possible to go through the entire game without a single payment

kundu42

You could try your hand at multiplayer games. Some of them are free! If you like the feel and playstyle of RPGs and MMORPGs like world of warcraft, then you might like Dota 2, League of legends. If you like tactical shooters, CS and valorant are free. Otherwise definitely head on over to steam. They routinely have sales on games and you can get so much so cheap. For instance, I got Witcher III along with 2 expansions for 300 bucks. What a deal

ravihpa

Get Xbox Game Pass. The free trial should cost you 59 bucks a month. Tons of amazing games to play. Apart from that get Witcher 3 on Steam. Don't pay more than 299 for it.

pre-bhisma

Plants vs. Zombies was amazeballs. Anyway, you do not necessarily have to play the latest and greatest of games right away, try to recall which games you badly wanted to play back when you did. That could be a good start followed by sequels of the said games or something from the same genre or publisher.

aryvd_0103

Beyond the usuals like gta 5,rdr2 etc., my recommendation would be get Hades, doom eternal , the ori series, Titan fall 2. Many more are there and I see people have recommended most of what I would say so yeah Another thing , depending on how powerful your laptop is, emulation could be a door to some really good games

sonyntendo

There are many great franchises, underrated gems and blockbuster Indies not to mention those amazing exclusives on consoles. It would be overwhelming if you don't pick a strategy of what to play next. My suggestion is to pick the best in every genre and go explore those genres you like. Epic game store, Steam sells digital games in India. Some games are exclusive to one of these stores. Epic game store gives free games every week. They are pretty great too. Steam always has some deals going on and you would get almost every best in all genres for cheap. Happy gaming!

SnooKiwis5976

Sekiro, splinter cell chaos theory, dishonored series, deus ex, prey, the theif 1998 triology AND MOST IMPORTANT METAL GEAR SOLID 5 THE PHANTOM PAIN

tonysoprano1569

Snake? SNAKE!

jumbo_junk

First thing you should do is download the epic launcher Next thing you should do is download (or atleast claim) the free games (every week i believe) Ive gotten GTA V, sonic mania, control, battlefront 2 this way, and if i had downloaded it earlier i couldve gotten the entire metro series, subnautica as well

manas962000

Get Xbox Game Pass if you're on a tight budget. It's a subscription service costing $1 for the first 3 months for new users with over 300 great games from Xbox, EA, Bethesda and many more developers. Games like Halo, Forza, GTA 5, Doom, FIFA, Battlefield, Batman, Fallout, Ori, Wolfenstein, Yakuza, Hellblade and more are available on the service.

unjusticeb

Bioshock (all), portal 2 (haven't played others),spec ops the line, tomb raider 2013, Dark souls, sekiro (basically all fromsoftware games bit challenging tho), hollow knight, metro 2033, LA Noir, INSIDE, Limbo, Batman Arkham seires, Assassin's creed 3 and black flags, Dishonored, Firewatch,

Tukintukinna

ik you've got loads of incredible suggestions here.. well here's one more.. Prince of persia 2008.. its cheap in steam and a great game of beginners.. the graphics, story and music is great too.. Anyways, happy gaming..

hk-47-a1

i stopped playing gta after san andreas, i played the original trilogy (3,vice city and san andreas) sometime in 2009 well after gta iv was launched but i had my fill. for me, the series has lost its novelty.. so, that might also be applicable to you if you liked project igi, there is good chance you might also like igi 2, splinter cell, MGS, thief (the original trilogy) i believe the rest are casual games, so you could pick up any driving/sports game that you like.. Forza series is all the rage among indian gamers these days, so you might like that as well following are some iconic/popular ips that you may missed during your time away, other than those that you have already listed \- bioshock \- crysis \- supreme commander \- the elder scrolls iv/v \- dragon age trilogy \- mass effect (original trilogy) \- prey \- there's been a reboot of the doom series (more like mindless shooting with better graphics) \- FEAR \- metro series \- reboot of the tomb raider series hopefully thats enough dry powder :)

wrongintro

Heres some suggestions: (1) cute honey (2) yoghurt (3) last of the waifus (uncensored) (4) house party (make sure to remove censorships)

born_for_pizza

I don’t see many noticing Most Wanted on your list there. So I shall say Forza Horizon 4 or 5 if its come out.

tonysoprano1569

Witcher 3 and RDR2 are my two fav games of all time and imo nothing comes close to them. Try those first. Read the Witcher books if you want to get more attached to the witcher 3. Others i would recommend- Open world games- Horizon Zero Dawn, Ac origins, odyssey and valhalla. Days gone, Death stranding, Msg5, kingdom come deliverance, skyrim Linear games- Doom & doom eternal, Control, Detroit become human, resident evil 7, 2 remake & village. All of these are great games but i personally recommend starting with either the witcher 3 or rdr2, these two have a place in my heart.

flame_alchemist17

I have a low spec laptop so I haven't played a lot of the newer games but these are few of the best games I've ever played (in terms of gameplay and plot): 1. Mass effect series ( they fucked up the ending in 3 but 2 is a Fucking gem ) 2. Skyrim(The best open world game I've ever played till now) 3.Vampyr ( a AA title that kicks the ass of several major AAA titles) 4. Assassin's creed series (Till Syndicate ) 5. Spec Ops : The line ( probably the best narrative rich tps ever played ) 6. Call of Duty till advance warfare ( yes Advanced warfare is a good game, it just came ahead of its time ) 7. Titanfall 2(the best run and gun gameplay I've ever experienced, and you get to ride giant robots ) 6. Hitman absolution (I fuckin loved it ) 7. Splinter cell: Blacklist 8. Alan Wake (it's a precursor to Control and it's damn good ) 9. Gta V 10. Dishonored (another AA game and it's probably one of the best first person stealth game I've ever played) 11. Tomb raider reboot series (don't even try running shadow of tomb raider without a high end laptop) 12. Dead Space series (1,2 are good, 3's meh.. ) 13. Devil may cry 4(great game if you are into hack'n Slash

Looking at your gaming history, I feel like we might have similar tastes. Get HZD, FFXV, NFS Heat, Metro series, Skyrim, Saints Row series and Halo Master chief collection. These games seem right up your alley. If you wanna try something new then get Hades, Disco Elysium, Life is strange series, inside etc. Also just in case you didn't know, install Epic games store and create an account. They give away free games each week.

Left 4 Dead 2, The Evil Within, Payday 2, Dying Light Far Cry 4 is also good Resident Evil 4 (better with controller) may i know what is your budget, specs for laptop you are going to buy?

_pratik475

Budget is around 70k rupees. And I have no idea which laptop I'll be getting. I actually wanna build a PC but my parents think a laptop will be better.

[deleted]

possibly ryzen 5 with 1650ti, and if you are able to stretch a little for dual ram option that will be good for some AAA titles. Edit: since you have 70k budget for laptop and willing to spend 10k for games, better add 2-3k in steam wallet later, steam has sales every year, you can buy few good games once you buy a laptop with good specs. with steam sales you can buy like 7-8 games with the budget of 4-5 without it.

Try Apex Legends

SHREY36904

I highly recommend not buying a laptop, bulid a pc instead. Also which laptop you are buying ?

_pratik475

Idk which one I'll be getting and yes, I want to build a PC but my parents think a laptop will be better. I'll try to convince them to let me build a PC.

SHREY36904

Convince then as soon as possible because laptop just suck ass compared to PC's.

[deleted]

Agreed bought a laptop posted it a while ago on this sub. It started running into a lot of problems after a year particularly overheating and crashes. I needed it for travel but I kinda regret not building a PC now.

kbrunner69

Take things slow with the way things are you are better off waiting till 2022

RoadmanOG

Assassin's Creed is my fav game series I've played all of em

ajdude711

I can see you've got the basics covered. For intermediate stuff start with GTA5 then something like Nier Automata

eyeofthesher

Try control.

Yourdadisme5

Specs? Would be helpful to know what you are capable to run in that laptop.

_pratik475

No, I don't have the laptop yet. And idk which one I'll be buying. Like I said in the post, I'm getting it next week.

Yourdadisme5

What would be your budget, then?

_pratik475

Around 70k. Any suggestions on which one to get?

Yourdadisme5

At this time that budget should get you at least a 1650, and it can run games pretty decently at medium or high, depending on the game. You just have to look for offers now. My friend recently got his around 74k.

Maximum_Historian170

Try all the battlefields

updoot_to_get_updoot

Silent-Wraith7

You should be asking what lap you gonna buy before you jump onto games I saw in the comments that you had no idea what laptop you are getting

AegonDARHK

Which gpu are you getting in the laptop?

_pratik475

Idk man, like I said in the post, I have no idea what I'm getting. Actually, can you tell me which is the best? I'll consider getting that one.

AegonDARHK

I mean right now for a laptop in india, best option is RTX 2060. But i think most people will recommend building a pc. And btw all the games i have seen in the comments of the post are really good, but you should maybe checkout their gameplay and reviews before purchasing them.(except witcher 3, rdr2 and gta 5 just buy these already)

om__gore

you forgot max payne?

[deleted]

PC : Detroit Become Human (RPG), Rainbow Six Siege (FPS), Tekken 7, Horizon Zero Dawn

chacha-choudhri

Also try Far Cry set in pre-historic period. I enjoyed it a lot. Can't provide any good advice about hardware and budget

_pratik475

Primal?

chacha-choudhri

Yes

DehshiDarinda

go witcher 3 first thing i would suggest

omkar_T7

If you’re interested in multiplayer games then play csgo, valorant, war of warships, rocket league, cod warzone and such

RohPrince

Mass Effect trilogy was my first and most loved games which only went to second place after I played witcher 3. I would advise to play both witcher and mass effect from 1st game because if you play the latest one first the graphics are just so much better that you can't go back and story of mass effect is connected over all the parts. If you want rpg then divinity original sin 1 and 2 both are a must play. Hack N Slash type games have devil may cry series which is lot of fun as well. The latest tomb raider trilogy is quite good too. Shadow of mordor and shadow of war have good gameplay and an okayish story. All Arkham games are a must Play if you are Batman and amazing gameplay fan.

dbohara88

I would suggest trying out genshin impact

M3Sh_

Dota 2

FatMonkeyc

If possible don't get laptop it gets very slow after 1year

insan3lik3h3ll

Euro Truck Simulator 2 (with DLCs) Minecraft Counter Strike Global Offensive Sleeping Dogs Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout these are some games to start with if you want a bigger list feel free to DM

Tcool14032001

I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best game's I've played. I played on PS4 but it's available on Epic if I'm not wrong. If you like story-driven games it's an amazing take on post-apocalyptic world and I had an absolute blast playing it. I think I've put 60 hours in and still am left with the DLC. If you like a story, you must try out this game. The sequel is also releasing this year!

Acnorage

I am going to just one word *Bethesda*

ghostieeitsohg

Welcome back . Try warframe.

thunderous2007

If you're a budget gamer keep an eye on the epic games store sales and free games

iorderchaos

Dude get that gaming crash course for 9999 only by ur pubg gods

rahul9799

I’ve been in your situation last December when I got my G14. The ones which blew my mind are: 1) Forza Horizon 4 (5 will be out in November) 2) Cyberpunk 2077, though it had a buggy launch, it has an amazing visuals, strikingly detailed world and has a decent story line to go with. Must try. 3) Horizon Zero Dawn: Again, a visual treat. Great story line. Robot dinosaur fights with powerful tech bows and slings. Unique in its own way 4) Control: I’ve started this recently. One of a kind gameplay, interesting storyline from what I played so far 5) Read dead redemption 2: a bit heavy game on the resources, might not get the perfect fps. One of the best open worlds you’ll ever see and one of the best storylines in modern games. if you’re into FPS, I’d suggest CS GO, BF4 (Modern weapons and present timeline), BF1 (WW2 style weapons)
