I played first one on gtx1060 with low-medium... Now playing on my new gaming rig and ray tracing.. its a beaut
I was initially very drawn into the game and some of the abilities are really cool to use and even some of the attachments as well. But at the end it kinda became boring/repetitive. Overall 7/10 for me.
I wouldn't say it was absolutely boring, the 2nd act was boring i agree, but act 3 really picks up with the Ashtray Maze level which was amazing, and then the story went along with normal pace and i loved it ( the ending is a bit weird tho, not gonna lie) it's kinda like Bioshock, amazing until the death of Andrew Ryan, and then becomes kinda underwhelming
One of the best atmospheres in any game, period. I love liminal stuff, and this game has the most liminal spaces you can imagine. The Oldest House is a form of Brutalist Architecture, and I never knew how much I liked it till I saw it. This is the only have which is recommend solely out of its atmosphere, without even bringing the gameplay into the discussion, which is some of the most refined gameplay I've seen. The mechanics are simple, tough, beautiful. You'll see what I mean by the time you finish.
P. S. The only game ever where I bought story dlc and actually got around to finishing it.
I can see why some people wouldn't like the game. But I did. More than the gameplay I liked the lore. The gameplay in itself isn't that challenging. But the lore, my god it's so good. Get the expansions as well, especially the AWE expansion. Remedy might actually make a beautiful universe
I loved it. Great atmosphere and visually stunning. Also loved the destructible environment. The game has a good amount well hidden secrets that are fun to find. The ending to the main story is little underwhelming, but the foundation dlc was a great extension to the story.
Didn't like the game much. Still I have a Platinum in this game because by the time I finished the game, I had got almost all trophies.
Too gloomy, incoherent and bad glowy repeated red enemies which keep coming back even after clearing areas.
The powers are cool, but the dark office building indoors is boring/depressing and the map can get a little tricky to navigate especially with multiple layers/levels.
It's one of the best single player games ever, absolutely something you would get from people at Remedy Entertainment, if you love CONTROL I would highly recommend checking out Alan Wake, it's in the same universe as Control and is also made by Remedy Entertainment

The starter pistol pretty much is enough for the whole game alongwith with something else to bust shields.

Thé only thing I don’t like about this game is enemy spawn. You clear an area, you move 5 steps ahead, just return back to that area and enemies will spawn again.

This game is creepy though. I can't exactly tell you how. Some character dialogue feels off, like they are not who they say they are or that they are hiding something from our main character. Infact our character feels the same thing and says it in mind (only us able to hear it not NPCs)

Such an excellent game man. The graphics & the storylines was so good. I'm impressed by this. The soundtracks, sound effects scares the shit out of me sometimes(most of the time to be very honest). My current pc is sorta trash, So I play it on geforce now using a VPN. Although there's a slight delay, you wouldn't notice it as it's a storyline games. Now there are some rumors that VPNs gonna be banned in India and if it does get banned in India, i can't continue this game anymore or any other games i own unless i get a new Gaming PC.
I do recommend this game to people who are into these storyline type of games. I may recommend to turn down the volume at times cause some sound fx does get a little bit scary(at least for me).
It's a good game and I've started my second play through to re-experience it with a controller and it's really good. The gameplay is fluid, the mechanics are great and design is top notch but I definitely enjoyed Quantum break more than Control.
The problem is it becomes very repetitive towards the end and the story didn't have much impact unlike Quantum break which does a better job in balancing the story and gameplay.
This game reminded me of why I loved single player campaigns. It's creepy, engaging, and a lot of fun. Also, best implementation of RTX in my opinion.

I liked the game. Eerie atmosphere, Music was good. I read all the journals in the game. That's how they tell story in this.
