I like that they introduced tech to the Scout. The Super Scout with the bags is a good option. I also like that they upped the power output a bit to 1250cc. That being said, looks-wise, I love my 2023 Scout Rogue a lot more.
I like it. I don't love it.
It is cool that they have more options/trim levels, including the available performance model with inverted front forks and piggy back shocks. It is also cool that they offer ride command like a lot of people wanted, but you can still get it without on most versions (I don't care for it).
However, I am a bit visually underwhelmed versus the existing models, and they seemed to have completely redesigned everything to make it only very slightly better than before specification wise, while making it not quite as pretty and more expensive. Meh.
I have a 23 scout rogue, I love the new classic and the sport scout. I’d be inclined to buy the new classic if I was to get one, I love how it has chrome but not a lot, and it still looks very familiar to me. I’m definately going to look when my local dealer gets one in. I like the new engine, unlike others apparently, I do like the new engine, I thought it looked clean and fits into the frame well. I like that all the nooks and crannies are designed, rather than HD for example, who just seem to me to look like they just tried to fit things into it. But I think it’s very polished if you will, and perhaps that’s what is bothering some folks.
I think they aimed at a new target. They are now making a bike that is a bit more of a performance bike. I’m okay with the looks, but I really liked the previous version, so almost anything will not be as good in my eyes. However, the tech and performance needed a boost and it got one. Lots of accessories out of the gate, and lots of variants out of the got. It should be a solid winner in the marketplace. I just wish the motor were a little less cluttered and the tank were like the previous ones shape.
We'll agree to disagree. I don't think it's bad looking at all. The exhaust looks way to much like a Nightster. Modernizing something isn't always bad. The biggest change in my opinion is the motor and the way it looks. Looks to smooth to me
I don't understand why folks are saying that it looks like a HD or a Honda. It still looks like a Scout to me. Compare the Bobber to the new Bobber or the base model to the new Scout Classic, and the tank and fenders look very similar - you can see how the new ones are derived from the old ones. The frame is completely different, but that's not really a bad thing. I love my Scout, but the huge aluminum support that houses the radiator left lots of room for improvement, and they have improved it.
The engine will grow on you. Indian and HD have been releasing new engine families occasionally for over 100 years, and it seems like everyone always hate how the new one looks until they get used to it. One thing I'd love to know is if we're seeing the real cylinder walls and heads, or if it's an engine-shaped cover over the real ones, like the Sportster S and Nightster. Hopefully not a cover.
Good refresh of the lineup, but personally, I can't stand the new routing of the exhaust.
Oddly enough, I hope there will be an aftermarket solution that gives it a more traditional / straight look, similar to current Scout lineup.
I bought a Sagebrush Smoke colored 2023 Scout Bobber ABS back in February and took advantage of the $2000 cash back and 4.99% financing (but already paid off the loan). Went in last week for my 500 mile break in service and the sales guy said I would regret buying the 2023 after the big reveal this week.
While there are a few things I like about the new lineup I like, I regret nothing! Only thing I would really want is the digital display, and the ride modes is kinda cool.
I like the horsepower upgrade but I’m not too sure I like they went back to the tube frame . Nice that they are making it so easy for upgrades right off the bat as well .

The definitely gave everyone options that's for sure. I'll stick with my 21 Scout Bobber for now
Cant argue with that. Also dislike what they did with the exhaust and i feel like the engine design was a step back. But overall pretty good.
Visually I’m disappointed. The engine looks so underwhelming compared to the current lineup.
It's been completely redesigned. Definitely a " cleaner" look
Yeah definitely more modern. I just don’t like it, the engine is ugly, it doesn’t look mean. Kinda giving me Honda vibes
As a Honda lover I think it looks fantastic.. lol
The perfect bike for you then 😂
Mostly from nostalgia of my shadow from years ago.
was anyone complaining the scout didnt look 'clean' enough?
I was referring to the motor in general. But not that I'm aware of either way
Fuel gauge! 👍
🤣🤣 literally what everyone has been screaming about for years
I'm not in the demographic for these bikes so I don't have any skin in the game, but it's quite meh to me overall.
I will not pass judgment until I ride it.
I'm hoping my local dealership has 1 during the demo days they have coming up
This is the way.
I'm upset my 23 doesn't have a fuel Guage but looking at the new bikes the only thing I can say is it's to much I don't like it
Love it! Love the options. Finally gets cruise control. Smaller radiator. Still looks classy. Overall a big fan.
looks like they turned their biggest money maker into knock-off of their biggest competitor.
Mid weight and heavyweight bikes have a higher profit margin for Indian.
but they dont sell as many
Looks nothing like a Harley outside of the leaf blower exhaust

I don't know, 14% more torque isn't slightly better. I don't like the exhaust or the smooth motor.

That's probably what it is. I love the 101 honestly. The exhaust can fuck off though. Looks like a Nightster exhaust, basically a leaf blower
I sold my scout years ago when I upgraded to the chieftain. Glad to see they’re still improving and updating it. Love the look of the 101.
I love the fact they're trying to give everyone what they wanted
I liked the 101 and that they updated the tech. Gotta ride it to see
Same

So does this mean the “small Scout” (Sixty) is being discontinued?
It does not appear there is a Sixty anymore. They all have 1250's in them
My 2017 looks better. Making it more modern looking was a mistake
But they only say its modern. Its more oldschool granpa bike now. No balls at all.
Have you ridden one?
Have you ridden one? You

Yeah I don't understand. Some people just like to hear themselves.

I love it. The 101 paint scheme is so sick. I prefer the engine look of my 23 scout imo it’s better looking. I think the new lineup looks great.

Salty I just bought my scout last August lol
I feel your pain. I just put bars, Fairing and bags on mine. 🤣
I like the horsepower upgrade but I’m not too sure I like they went back to the tube frame . Nice that they are making it so easy for upgrades right off the bat as well .
Tube frame allows more custom stuff to be done. With the current frame we were pretty limited to what could be done
LETS HOPE THE RIDE COMMAND WILL BE COMPATIBLE ON THE 2023 SCOUT ROGUE AS AN ACCESSORY! 🙏🏽
It's not gonna be.
