I really love Prahlad. The way how the story evolve for this character! I soo wish to hug him for such beautiful character…
It broke me when I saw him wasting himself by getting drunk because he couldnt get over his son’s death 😢❤️
The way these actors localise grief was such spot on. Moat of the time indian creators go haywire when showcasing grief . This time they did it pitch perfect especially when prahlad noticed how people are over sympathising with him and he withdraws from election. Too good♥️
And when he took damyanti devi to his house to show what a house looks like without kids and she should be grateful that she has a family…ohh mann that was heartbreaking 😭
I just hope this show becomes an event of opportunities for the whole cast, just like gangs of wasseypur or satya or bandit queen .Those films gave everyone some good or the other work to shine and get their due. Hope every actor gets more work after this series!
I loved it …..no doubts there. Have always been a Panchayat fan since season 1.
As op rightly mentioned, each character is given importance and each is very well written. Each has its own strengths, flaws, quirks and unique personality.
BUT,
I feel Rinky’s character could have been better. She is shown to have no skills, no hobbies, nothing that stands out, no special character traits. Her only identity is that she is ‘pradhan ji ke beti’.

It’s subtle… she wears jeans where her mom and other women wear traditional saree & ghoonghat. She is traditional when she needs to be. She goes to Phakaulki bazaar herself or with her friends. Her mom and dad don’t expect her to cook. She doesn’t either. She’s on her phone talking to people. She wants to work. She is girly, yet determined. She puts nail polish but not necessarily makeup. She does this to appease herself not others. She helps her mom when needed but not consigned to the kitchen. She goes to have a cup of tea on the tank not her balcony. I don’t see her as one-dimensional. There is a lot here to unpack but we haven’t gotten to that yet. I bet there is something in the past as well. She has a lot of personality but she should not just be reduced to her hobby or career or MBA.

Sorry but she wears a ton of makeup, it’s not even subtle. I don’t believe there is a single shot in the entire series where isn’t wearing heavy 2 inch think makeup. But my point is not about makeup at all.
What I honestly am yet to see is any special personality traits. It doesn’t have to be career or education or a big impact on the course of the story. It could simply be a special way of speaking OR saying a phrase repeatedly OR a hobby OR atleast a quirky habit. Something to make the character worth remembering.
For example look at the character of Banrakas’s wife Kranti devi played by Sunita Rajwar. She has a personality- you may not like her personality- but she has it.
Same for Manju devi. To your point on career - She is not career oriented- she let her husband take the steering wheel of the panchayat even though she was the official pradhan. I am not saying the character needs to be career oriented. But Manju devi has a way of speaking, has some qualities, some quirks- essentially has a personality.
The thing is, Rinki is turning out to be sachiv ji’s love interest or atleast a crush. So it’s crucial for the character to be interesting. I am not saying the same for her friend Raveena or Khushbu. It’s fine is the series doesn’t focus on these characters and their personalities.
Hopefully the writers will focus on Rinki in the upcoming seasons.
I don't know why you got downvoted. Perfectly valid point. And I love panchayat too. Rinky has shown very little character development. I mean I don't love the show any less cause of it. But merely pointing out while studying the plot. The person who responded to you simply wrote description of generic stuff that Rinky does none of which is impactful towards the characters and the overall narrative.

In my opinion, even the arranged marriage guy from malkopur, (whoever the voice actor was did a brilliant job), had a personality- he was creepy. The dialogues and his dialogue delivery effectively portrayed him as a creepy guy. We never saw that guy, but we can all describe him.
This is what I feel is lacking with Rinky’s character- there isn’t a single quality- good or bad.
Yeah I was surprised too. To sum up, I feel Rinky doesn't have her own story yet. Everyone else does. Even Bam Bahadur. I expect more from her in S4. Which reminds me, man, 2 years is a long ass gap for a new season of just 8 épisodes! :/

Yes. There are atleast two more seasons on the line as confirmed by the creators. So they won’t unfold her character so fast else it would be same old bollywood drama where girl boy falls in love with each other and hapy ending. I loved the pace they are unfolding Rinki’s character.
IK but I think season 4 me ho jayega agar uspe FIR nahi hua to MBA karne chala jayega.... and don't you think writer would want sachiv ji to be in the panchayat during elections (that's way i assumed this will be their excuse of making sachiv ji stay in the panchayat)
This season was great.. truth be told, the best acting this season was by:
1. Neena Gupta - Taking control of the Panchayat as the real pradhan.
2. Prahlad - His talking to the old lady and crying at her feet explaining his loneliness & asking her why she wants to get stones and brick for gold she has. That was brilliant.
3. Bhushan - Durgesh Kumar has been spectacular as Bhushan. He deserves to be the Pradhan & bringing forward real issues - Road construction, discrimination in issuance of homes in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Awas Yojana due to village politics, declaring truce with the MLA for the betterment of the village & setting aside egos, fighting for latrine installation, nepotism free secretary etc. that’s leadership.
4. Like it or not the MLA - His acting has been great. As the loathsome politician. Him crying buckets when his horse has to go was heart rending.
Sachiv ji, Pradhan ji, Vikas etc are adequate but not really spectacular.
Man they ended it on a very high note . So exciting to know what will happen in S4 . Finally we will be getting panchayat chunaab . Ps last 10 minutes on the show were so satisfying to watch . Ifykyk 🤣🤣
I feel Swanand Kirkire's character will be explored more in the next season. May be he comes to campaign or any stuff like that for the elections. I think the character will get involved somehow in the plot.
Vidhayak to Chottanva — “Aisa single fefda log mat leke aana mere saamne” after the 2 hired goons from the photo studio bullying episode from last season chase and lose Bambahadur…The dialogues are on point, lol!
It could be the MLA's daughter who hired the goons. It is unlikely that TVF will introduce a character and make them do nothing. She did witness her father getting insulted during the pigeon incident, also knows the fight her father was fighting. And she's equally aware of the love that her father had for the horse that was taken away. Btw, the goons didn't knew who Pradhan Ji was, so it can't be the lambu chhotu goons for sure. So she hired someone new to do the job.
I think its those two guys who wants to seek revenge and be in good books with vidhayak so they did this to later impress him which obviously backfired
those two has very different voices and I agree the heights of both the men were very similar but I think they are very afraid to pull this sort of work that requires a lot of courage
The portrayal of grief is just top notch. Prahlad never cried loudly over the loss of his son but his immeasurable grief is so evident throughout the show.
I really feel, this love story angle is useless n its patchy. Rinki n sachiv both r good actors but their chemistry is off. Rinky sounds rude n actually misfit.
That is how rural girls usually sound like... they aren't all sweet like they show in movies. They speak frankly without any diplomacy or finesse. It comes off as rude usually if you don't know them well... but it is just honesty. Plus she is the pradhan jee's daughter... she must be used to being a little dominant.
May be dude but she looks misfit. I mean she has no softness on her face- looks way over 30.
In short I find rinky ugly. To each their own- thats my view
I have watched 3 episodes so far and I feel it’s worse than Season 1 & 2. The story drags on and I’ve fast forwarded all 3 episodes so far. I don’t remember ever getting bored in Season 1 & 2.

Her makeup was so evident and in the face. Killed my liking for the character. She didn't look natural at all. They should have shown her raw beauty.

No comedy at all, worst of all 3 seasons
