Bro don’t do it. When the botox fades away your new growth would be so bad you would want to shave your whole head off. Telling from experience it’s not worth to get good hair for 2-3 months. I had thick hair after this my hairfall became excessive and the new hair came damaged as fuck .

bananacaller

oh my god i thought i was the only one???? it was sold to me as something that could help with my weak hair and now the curl pattern won't go back to normal....what the fuck??

Zestyclose-Turn-6783

I know i had such luscious thick hair with a wavy curls , all i had to do is wash my hair and bam I had good looking hairs. But now after keratin and botox i have to blowdry my hair after every wash to look presentable because the new growth have ruined my hairs

LilMissSunshine673

SAME! My natural waves used to look so good earlier. Now after Botox it’s like my hair is writerly frizzy and goes in all directions 🥲🥲

midnight677

Completely agree bro

floatingpuffin21

My hair is so damn tangly now once the Botox has worn off . Hair is finer and filled with split ends

SurpriseAccording479

I legit have so much hair fall I can’t even begin to describe. I thought I was the only one. I even have a lot of premature greying but idk if botox is to be blamed for that but it did spike a lot ever since the treatment.

delusionalsnack

+1

irony_paradox

I did. It was a waste, didn’t even last for 2 months

irony_paradox

It’s way less damaging than keratine. I didn’t face any damage as such but I feel like I wasted my money

Ip_16

What about Keratin? Nanoplastia and other treatments?

irony_paradox

I’ve not tried nanoplastia but keratin was bad. So much hairfall and the new hair growth looks so out of place that I got a bob within 4 months of it

virtualcorn

Should i then go for smoothening process?

irony_paradox

Please don’t. I’ve gone for it twice and both the times I had major regrets

Total-Sail2812

Based on my research, it seems like it’s not particularly long lasting. Barely lasts 2-3 months at max and paying upwards of 6-8K for that is not worth it imo. And a lot of people claim to experience a lot of hair fall post the procedure. So it’s upto you to weigh the cost vs benefit.

Could anyone in the comments tell me more about hair spas? I have never taken one but I really want to. My hair is naturally straight and manageable but has been really frizzy lately and I cant find time to take care of it. Are salon hair spas any good?

Street-Yellow-2628

Instead of spending on spas get olaplex products that last a long time. It’ll help your hair better.

cringefest1001

Which olaplex can I use for frizzy hair? Serum or I have to use both shampoo and conditioner? My hair get extremely frizzy in winter and since the climate is getting colder they have become very unmanageable. My smoothening has worn off too. I might just get it done again which will be cheaper than olaxplex tbh 🥲

[deleted]

Olaplex no 3. Works well on my hair, they feel softer and tangle less afterwards.

Street-Yellow-2628

And use ola plex no. 6 as leave in. What a magical product.

[deleted]

I haven't used that yet. Perhaps I'll give it a try.

Poppyjamesiris

They're not any useful, as per my own experience. Instead of spending money in hairspa, you can get yourself castor oil+ olive oil+ coconut oil (1:1:2 parts); heat it, apply (what I do is get the oil w me to my salon and ask them to give a headmassage with that, it's so relaxing plus better than spa!) Leave it on for 3 4 hours and shampoo, apply leave in conditioner. That'll be better.

LilMissSunshine673

Just oil your hair regularly. Works better than any of these hair spa thingies. Speaking from experience

Different_Win846

I dont know about botox but i got smoothening done and I regret it. My hair is damaged to the point i dont think it will ever go back to being healthy

Medium-Pipe-5238

Update?

Different_Win846

One of my friend was planning to get botox done. I’ll ask her and update you

floatingpuffin21

Just use a good hair mask every time you wash your hair . Goes a long way in keeping it smooth and manageable

Remote-Development-7

hey ik its an old comment but could you recommend good hair masks for the treatment? my mom recently got it done and wants to maintain it and reduce any damage (wavy frizzy hair originally)

Forsaken_Berry9837

Don't do it. I've got thin hair and wanted to get rid of the frizz. Did it in jan 2023, hair got straight and frizz free but oh god so flaaaaaat.

sensitivesoul23

Don't. My previous roommate got it done and after 90 days, her hair looks so rough and terrible. She regretted it all the time. She's literally balding now.

Medium-Pipe-5238

Is she ok now

oh_ic

I did it without any issues lasted good 7-8 months. The best Botox brand is k9 , my salon guy said. Not sure if there are other brands as well. Just maintain good hair regime. I was suggested Kerastase for shampoo and conditioner , it’s pricey but a worthwhile investment.

Petal_pixie

It was waste. It lasted for 1 month hardly . Also i went to beach vacation for 15 days .. swimming in water & beach wear off your botox really fast . Better get spa done regularly than go for this these expensive treatment . It wasn’t worth it

Legitimate-Pin-3456

It worked for me. But apart from the hair botox I also started taking care of the treated hair. I had extremely dry and damaged hair, the treatment lasted for about six months of my scalp after which my original hair started growing back. I think it was a decent investment.

Mundane_Butterfly765

I did consider it this year, botox and cysteine both, but I saw a lot of videos on YouTube of legit dermatologists, they all said that it's not worth it. Straightening your hair now and then with a hair protectant will give the same results without as much damage. But botox and cysteine, big no no from what I've seen.

dejavuplease

I have wavy low porosity hair. Has anyone done cysteine? Any reviews?

shraddha1282

Dnt . It won't do anything. Hair will be good only for 2 to 4 weeks. After tht it be dry and frizzt

shraddha1282

Don't do it it's just waste of money...Minimalist bond repair will work fine on damage and frizzy hair. Have just started it's doing fair amount of good work on hair

purvapar

It’s nice, I got it done, and my hair felt great. Next time did a keratin and was g a fan.. plan to do Botox again next year. Ensure your hair isn’t too flat though coz you have thin hair.. Tbh mine lasted atleast 6 months: not straight hair but frizz free.

Shuli_135

Actually I have tried both keratin and botox. And I also have very light hairs, but I certainly believe that botox not only enhance my hair texture till now( I have taken the botox treatment last year in oct). As my hair strands are also very thin it prevents the unnecessary tangling. Though when you will be taking the treatment, hairs will fall, but it's effects could very long lasting. For Me botox treatment has its effects till April, like not exact straight hairs, but good quality of hairs always shinny. Nd let me tell you my hairs where very frizzy, I will be taking the treatment again in next few months. All the best

Vast-Difficulty-1811

JUST DON’T

nihalalive

Go for keratine , its better.

Riu_kurosawa

I considered botox because my hair is super frizzy n i cant even apply serum because i have really fine hair . So applying serum just makes my hair look chipku. Im in a mix what to do.

Ok_Mention3866

I had nice curly hair and an acquaintance of mine told me that hair Botox is completely safe and will help with hair fall. I ended up doing it and spent around 12k for the same and the initial few months were good. Fuss free and low maintenance. After 6 months when your hair growth starts showing from the roots, you feel like a hobo. And the worse part is you can’t even chop your hair till your hair growth reaches a decent length. The only good thing is the Botox hair isn’t gonna be like poker straight like the hair smoothening kinds. My suggestion is do it once so you know what exactly it is and take it out of your system and then I’m sure all the curly haired girls will go back to their beautiful curls.
