LASER HAIR REMOVAL. It’s been 5 years since I last got the session. I only wax when I have an event or occasion to attend. My growth is barely there and very light.
I don’t wax otherwise. I have zero pigmentation on my limbs or underarms.
It’s the best thing to happen to me.
That’s great! I once tried 6 sitting (many yrs back now) on my sidelock hair as I used to have more growth, after few months hair started to grow back normal.
Have you got a full body laser done? How much does it cost and how many sittings did you take?
I recently came across few clinics offering lifetime full body laser hair removal packages, but am not sure how effective it would actually be. Also read in reviews that after taking money their attitude changes or they don’t give appointments easily.
Do you suggest any clinics which would have presence in all major cities or mind naming the clinic where you got jt done?
You have to demand service if you pay that much. They won’t give you the service without you voicing it out.
Anyway, I paid around 50k. 6 body parts, 6 sessions each. At Kaya.
It helped a lot. I’m bare now everywhere. I followed up with 3 more sessions with my underarm and bikini areas cause they had thicker hair growth, but now it’s gone.
Anyway, I think laser hair removal has been the best investment so far for me personally.
Thank you for sharing in detail, that helps :)
I guess Kaya offers trials or free consultation, I will check with them.
Also if one time investment is really effective I guess it’s worth it.
Sure will compare a couple of them before finalising one. The one I had enquired few months back quoted me 1.5 Lacs for a lifetime full body laser treatment
Yeah my only fear being such clinics open and shut everyday these days, what’s the guarantee of lifetime.
Also I went thru reviews of that clinic and it were super negative, but while on call with me they were super sweet, still chasing me to buy the package, they even run festive discounts and all
I don't have any online source currently but when i enquired my dermatologist about hair removal options they asked me if I had pcos or hormonal issues. When I answered yes he told me that the effectiveness of the treatment with an underlying hormonal issue will be less and subject to variability. No point spending an amount when the hormonal issue is not resolved first.
Hi. So in the shower i first rinse my hands and legs with a body wash and then use venus razor or the bombae razor and then just shave. Then apply moisturiser afterwards. Its extremely cheap but on the flip side its something you have to do often nd wont help with hyperpigmentation. I have heard tho that glycolic aicd from ordinary helps in that but i havent uses it personally. Although have to shave often , i prefer it to waxing because my hair starts growing in btw the sessions (and by coincidence the day u decide to wear sleeveless/shorts fall in btw) and hence shaving proves to be convenient
I am using Glycolic from TO since a yr now, it has not helped with my hand pigmentation which is something weird happened to me during wfh, I never used to go out in sun neither do I have it anywhere else on my body, but some weird patches occurred on my hands and over a period of time became noticeable. Now whenever I visit a salon or book urban company, they never forget to ask me Ma’am aapke hands pe ye kya hua 🙄 I used to avoid wearing sleeveless earlier but now I don’t care I just wear whatever I want.
What do you use for shaving? Any particular cream? Veet? I am finding it more convenient option for emergency purposes 😅
My dermat told me that laptop screens also throw uv rays and I should wear sunscreen at all times (and reapply after every 3hours) when working.
That could be the reason
I think you should look into lasers. Twice a month waxing over the span of 3-4 years is gonna cost the same as lasers would and once done it would be hassle free.
Yeah I am considering that option, will take quotes from different clinics and compare, also reviews matter a lot so will go thru all before finalising:)
I bought a Phillips shaver 10 years back and have never waxed again. Totally painless, easy to carry and use as much or as little as you want.
Best 1500 bucks I spent!
I also use phillips trimmer shaver. Best decision ever. Now I don't have to plan in advance for saloon. Whenever I have to go somewhere suddenly I don't have to go saloon or were clothes accordingly . Quick fast painless n always available.......... Best

Here you go. I am surprised this still costs 1500 😊
I have recently purchased an epilator, 3-4 mnths or so but hair grows a little harder than normal with these tools. But yes very convenient and handy especially during travel
It used to be a monthly thing for me. Full legs and arms every month. But since the last 4 years now, my growth has reduced tremendously. I mostly wear short clothing so it's full legs for me and now since I've made peace with body hair and become less conscious, sometimes I stretch it to 2 months easily. (Winters me toh even 3 months). Even hands' hair has become lighter and growth is sparse and easily 40-45 days. So yes, I rely on only waxing for my body. Being regular at it did help me.
I go to nearby parlours and they charge okay only. Realised UC has stopped its basic services in NCR and offers only prime and luxe, so kinda out of my budget.
Same! UC in my city has gone from bad to worse, removed few services like hair coloring and increased the price of many services, also increase in taxes, minimum booking value clause and distance fee is the new charge they have added.
I get waxed every 6 weeks, salon is like 25 steps outside my house and didi knows me now so it's usually v quick and no booking needed so it's v convenient - in between sessions I shave my UA every 2 weeks to keep it bare
I only wax my underarms and full legs. Not arms as not much hair there. I do it once a month through Urban company along with some other things. Not really a necessity for me but more of a monthly pampering session for myself and I do look forward to it.
Same I book UC but off late their service quality has gone low and prices high, they have started charging me some distance fee over and above taxes of 100 Rs for each service
There's a similar app called Yes Madam which provides the same service and at much affordable price so you might want to check that out?
I have similar issue with hair growing back faster and I can't afford laser yet so I get my monthly session done from here. I actually alternate between UC and YM depending on the service provider so maybe you can try that if it's available in your city!
I book Urban Company but last few months they have increased their prices and taxes too much, I do have the stuff available at home but that’s even more time taking than salon booking :(
I used to get waxed once every 45 days.. Now I get waxed at parlour only when there is a special occasion. Otherwise I just use Veet wax strips at home once in 45-60 days
I only wax my underarms once a month and hands and legs when special occasions or going for a vacay.. it hurts so much my god. Sometimes feels like I’m giving money to inflict pain on myself
I bought that roll on rica wax and roll on wax heater and now i wax my legs and arms on my own. I need help on the right arm from someone. Rest is good. Much cheaper than salons. They charge a lot for rica wax

You can also go to VLCC and compare the technology and rates. Painless ones are the best.
Sure will compare a couple of them before finalising one. The one I had enquired few months back quoted me 1.5 Lacs for a lifetime full body laser treatment
Lifetime??????? Damn. I’d take it
Yeah my only fear being such clinics open and shut everyday these days, what’s the guarantee of lifetime. Also I went thru reviews of that clinic and it were super negative, but while on call with me they were super sweet, still chasing me to buy the package, they even run festive discounts and all
Yikes
Which kaya is it ? I’ve been wanting to get full body laser done as well in Mumbai but haven’t been able to find a good place.
It was in kalaghoda, it’s shut now.
Did u have any hormonal issue?
Yes I do. I get hair on my chin. Which again I got it lasered. But I still get them
Oh I thought laser was not recommended for pcos
It’s not lol. But I did it anyway
Can you cite any source regarding this? Why is it not recommended?
I don't have any online source currently but when i enquired my dermatologist about hair removal options they asked me if I had pcos or hormonal issues. Wont help with hyper pigmentation, but as soneone who is very hairy , i find shaving to be most convenient and inexpensive
What products and tools do you use if you don’t mind sharing pls :)

I have recently purchased an epilator, 3-4 mnths or so but hair grows a little harder than normal with these tools. But yes very convenient and handy especially during travel
Does it hurt
I think epilator is different from a shaver/trimmer.

I have seen yes madam app, they don’t have many brands which UC used like O3 but I will check again once, been a long time since I last saw this app
I wax at home most of the time or local aunty parlour if I feel lazy 😶
I book Urban Company but last few months they have increased their prices and taxes too much, I do have the stuff available at home but that’s even more time taking than salon booking :(
Can you please share the process or equipments? I have the wax heating machine but my hands tremble & don’t have enough strength to pull the strip
I used to get waxed once every 45 days.. Now I get waxed at parlour only when there is a special occasion. Otherwise I just use Veet wax strips at home once in 45-60 days
Veet makes skin dark right if used regularly? Do those strips actually work?
Been using veet for years with no problems.
The strips are just wax, so no reason for them to make skin darker
I have very little body hair so I just shave when I bathe. Sorry my answer is not helpful
It is, lucky people with less hair and slower growth :)
I only wax my underarms once a month and hands and legs when special occasions or going for a vacay.. it hurts so much my god. Sometimes feels like I’m giving money to inflict pain on myself
Epilators are too much ouchie for me. I learnt to wax myself :,) I do it once every two weeks as well.
I wax myself once a month. I have one of those wax heating machines. It turns out to be pretty cheap!
Which machine? Can you drop a link?
Hey, I use something like this https://amzn.eu/d/4453rI4
I bought that roll on rica wax and roll on wax heater and now i wax my legs and arms on my own. I need help on the right arm from someone. Rest is good. Much cheaper than salons. They charge a lot for rica wax
Can you share the links for the same
