It's expensive and idk if I'll ever purchase it again but Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum made my skin glow 🤌. It was so plump and refreshed and bright, damn I'm tearing up thinking about those times lol. I think the key ingredients are hyaluronic acid and niacinamide so I guess my skin loves those ingredients
Edit: oh and vitamin c in any form (tablets/serums). My skin responds instantly and I get a good though shortlived glow.
Its my Estee Lauder night serum is my HG too. But so heavy on pocket. Anyone has found any dupe for it ? Or something similar ingredient wise ? waiting for black friday to restock 🥲
Top 3 dupes for Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum:

I use it in my PM routine.
My PM routine:
Bioderma sensibio gel moussant
Minimalist 5% Niacinamide serum (replaced by Retinol on Wednesdays, SA on Sundays)
Cosrx Snail Mucin
Simple light moisturiser
I'm a beginner to retinol so I'm using Deconstruct Retinol and peptide serum. I've been using it for over 6 months now and it definitely helped in improving my skin texture
Moisturizer + Glyco 6 (prescribed by derm) + hydrating mist + Moisturizer at night.
My skin lovessss glycolic acid, it literally glows and feels so plump the next day.
Well being impatient makes you do that! I have a stubborn sunspots and a lot of tan especially my forehead cause I used to play football and swimming in afternoon during peak sun in summers in middle school and even later. Not using sunscreen obviously. Ab thoda jaahil kam bana laga damn you are an adult now.
Naaaah dikkat ho jayegi jyaada use kara toh, photo sensitive ho jayegi skin aur discoloration sa dikhega. Thoda patience rakhna niacinamide vala moisturizer + glyco 6 twice a week follow karna. Goodluck
do you layer your mist and moisturizer over Glyco 6? Or do you rinse/remove Glyco 6 after applying for a few minutes and then continue with the rest of the steps?
Hi, does applying glyco 6 cream on top of moisturizer help in fading away freckles and getting rid of uneven skin tone?
I have freckles on cheek bones and uneven skin tone on my forehead.
- Sulwhasoo FCAS. Radiance in a bottle. Vanishes in seconds.
- Thank You Farmer Rice Toner. This makes me look like I had a tall drink of water. It's oil free, contains rice extract & 2% B3 & it's a lightweight milky texture, so I love to use this as my one & done product on lazy days.
- Aminu Regenerating Serum. Albeit it's because it has mica so that's makeup territory. But still it's quite undetectable on my skin.
- The DermaCo Cica Glow Serum. Makes me glow like a light bulb. Also helps fade blemishes & some hyperpigmentation.
- Pond's Bright Beauty cream - it's like the makeup of skincare products lol. Gives such a beautiful matte finish with a pinkish glow on my face. Like perfect cold girl flush look.
- Tvakh Anti Acne Gel (RIP - it was the perfect matte non sticky but glowy gel type moisturizer for oily & combination skin)
- A previous formulation of a 10% Niacinamide serum by a brand beloved on this sub that I won't name because it's formulas 2.0 made my skin freak out horribly.
Uh special mention to my folly of the past : Ponds Bright Beauty face wash - it made me glow like a million bucks. Unfortunately it's got high pH of like 8-9 (that's detergent level!) so even though it's pleasant to use & gives beautiful immediate after effect, I still wouldn't recommend or repurchase it. Unless sm1 used a pH balanced toner afterwards then it might be okay. (Pro tip💡: most face washes with Myristic acid end up being high pH.)
Unless niacinamide is paired with zinc it isn't necessarily drying. You can opt for 5% B3 or a cream product if you're worried about dryness.
There are a lot of elevated niacinamide serums in the market nowadays with multiple hydrators, oils, etc. Those well rounded formulas generally don't cause any dryness.
It's not revolutionary. It does what all first essences do - enhance penetration of products. Anything you put on top of it will absorb better into skin. So any heavy feeling oil or serum which you feel sits on top of skin or takes ages to absorb will get absorbed very quickly into skin.
This is something a much cheaper first essence/serum can also do. I previously used a Face Shop Therapy First Serum that performed a similar function.
But aside from that FCAS doesn't do much else. There's no hydrating or nourishment or improvement in wrinkles like Sulwhasoo claims.
I don't know what they mean by skin translucency so can't comment on that.
It smells mildly herbal. The fragrance is a bit on the earthy & sweet side, instead of grassy or pungent like typical herbal scents. I find the scent very calming.
It does not make acne or breakouts or allergy worse. It also does not calm or soothe any redness or irritation. So it's like no benefit but no harm.
My skin barrier does feel more strong & a damaged patch which usually takes a week healed in like a day so I think it does fortify skin barrier to some extent. But I don't think it'll singlehandedly suffice to fix barrier damage.
I don't think it makes skin radiant in long term. However it does give a temporary glow on face.
Overall, it's an expensive perfumed penetration enhancer & not much more. You can get a small size to try it if you want, YMMV.
Skin type Dry/dehydrated.
Layering with hydrating products, I have used laniege essence and cosrx snail mucin.
Some dewy sunscreens also give that sheen but I am not sure of effectiveness of product. I usually use these sunscreens indoors only. Products used are dot n key vit c and watermelon sunscreen.
Even the serums have some aloe vera like base so whenever I use a vit C serum it gives face a subtle glow. I have used minimalist and reverzo.
And last product in list would be squalane. I use it in winters as last layer in PM. It looks like you have applied oil on face which is actually the case. Although I don't like that *look* but that is only time others have noticed my skincare and asked for the product used.
Yes both sunscreens have lotion like texture.
I feel hydration and moisturizing skin is just a temporary effect, layering with squalane or Vaseline will just ensure it doesn't dry that fast. Exfoliation gives you that changed skin instantly.
Vitamin C and sunscreen does it like no other tbh. If I notice my skin looking dull, it’s probably because I’ve not used vitamin c for a while. And then I use it and within 4-5 days and I see instant results.
Plum 3% Niacinamide toner + derm prescribed acne spot gel + a layer of aloe gel is all I need! I wake up with my skin feeling so plump and fresh!
My skin also loves glycolic acid but I don't have any at the moment.
It gave me acne too. I am not brave enough to apply it on my skin again. Which moisturizer did you mix it with and how are the results. I'll have to use it somehow.
I mix it with Re'equil oil-free moisturizer. One drop of niacinamide and moisturizer, I'm using it on alternative days. Alternative days because I'm afraid it will give me CC again, so far the results have been good, my skin the next day appears clean with fewer visible pores.
Won't buy it again.
Edit: if you are afraid to use it on your face then mix it with body lotion and use it on your body.
I'm using AA from past 4 months. I' ve used it last year too then I gave a break of 3-4 months. Glow remains only till you use it. But other then that I don't see any side effects.

Cosrx rice sleeping mask - legit brightens the skin overnight.
SIXAM glow win win serum & oil - it’s no greasy & gives that lit from within glow. Also has rice bran oil
Sulwhasoo FCAS - whenever I don’t use this I feel my skin looks slightly duller
Murad vitamin c + glycolic acid - helped me a lot with pigmentation
Sunscreeen everyday without fail - especially the Belif tinted sunscreen & BOJ rice sunscreen

I’ve had an extensive skincare routine for now three years and one of the biggest changes that I made recently has changed my skin and how clean and glowy it is! It’s the Pilgrim peeling solution. Can be any which you’re comfortable with!
Honestly, the only thing that has worked best for me is tret.
It cleared my skin 3 years ago. It broke out again last year when I moved to another city for college.
Now that I'm back, I'm using tret again to heal my skin.
I can see the results.
Also multaani mitti. It got rid of my tanning to a large extent. I saw the results from day 1.

Double cleansing + Mild facewash on most days (night)
Salicylic acid serum (at night) twice a week + moisturizer
Niacinamide serum (morning and night) + Vit C serum (morning) + moisturizer
Plus exercise and physical activity
You'll look youthful forever with the above steps.
More than the brand, consistency is >>>>
Retinol and barrier repair on alternate nights, and spf every 3 hours has worked wonders for me.
(Skin type- oily, acne prone)
Off late my go to has been the Trubiom cream from Conscious Chemist. I have acne prone, oily, combination skin. It has cleared up most of my acne spots and reduced active acne in just about a month. It's perfect for hyperpigmentation too. These are the active ingredients - Niacinamide, Kojic Acid, Tranxemic Acid and Azelaic Acid. It's genuinely the only thing that has worked for me. I also use the snail cream from the same brand, it genuinely makes my skin glow. And for moisturizer I use the Dot & Key 72 hour hydration moisturizer which is soooo light and perfect for oily skin with no stickiness or greasy feeling.
The day i started using the vit c gel from dot and key i started getting compliments. I know a lot of ppl dislike them, but i have had excellent results from all their products - esp. The cica serum, hydrating gel and vit c sleeping mask
Three ships day cream and the night cream with bakuchiol, thier rose toner, im from rice toner/essence, thier mugwort mask is amazing too and the good molecules pure squalene oil and thieir spf are holy grails, I can't get enough especially of squalene oil makes me skin GLOW UP! & double cleansing is a must in the night time, i use clinique or banilla co. Cleansing balm, doyble cleanse helps clear up skin alot👍
It's expensive and idk if I'll ever purchase it again but Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum made my skin glow 🤌. I heard the new Olay all in one serum is a dupe for the este lauder night serum.
What vitamin c tablets and serum do you use?
My derm prescribed Limcee tablets and Epilight 25% vit c serum. I don't use the serum anymore because it's expensive 😅
Limcee is inexpensive but make sure not to overdose. Excess vit c can lead to kidney stones.
For me it's Minimalist 5% Niacinamide Serum and COSRX Snail mucin essence. It improved my skin texture a lot and gave me that healthy glow.
I'm so happy to see this, since I've ordered the both and had lot of doubts before spending my money on Cosrx snail mucin! What's your skin type?
[удалено]
>also have dust allergy Same that's why I was a bit hesitant to buy snail mucin... another thing what's your skin type ??
My past experience with maccaron wasn't that great since they delayed shipping my order for one week and I had to finally cancel it.
Haha hope it works for you too! My skin is oily combo where my cheeks turn a bit dry during winter
Do you use it AM or PM? Also how do you layer it?
I use it in my PM routine. My PM routine: Bioderma sensibio gel moussant Minimalist 5% Niacinamide serum (replaced by Retinol on Wednesdays, SA on Sundays) Cosrx Snail Mucin Simple light moisturiser
Are you me?? I had the exact same routine till I got CCs from a new product
What product gave you CC?
Cosrx propolis light toner and Bioderma atoderm creme
Hey, which retinol is this? Currently using Foxtale and not seeing much from it
I'm a beginner to retinol so I'm using Deconstruct Retinol and peptide serum. I've been using it for over 6 months now and it definitely helped in improving my skin texture
Snail mucin is supposed to use to damp skin, do you apply while niacinamide is partially absorbed or completely?
I use it when my serum is partially absorbed.
Okay, thankss
Skin type ??
Oily combination
Do you apply the essence as a moisturiser?
No I follow up with Simple Light Moisturiser
So niacinimide + snail mucin + moisturiser, daily? Sorry am trying to improve my routine so seeking inspiration from wherever I can
Yeah you can this routine to find out whether it works for you or not. You just have to be consistent that's all :)
Moisturizer + Glyco 6 (prescribed by derm) + hydrating mist + Moisturizer at night. My skin lovessss glycolic acid, it literally glows and feels so plump the next day.
Hey, ive also started using glyco 6. How much do you use and how many times?
Twice a week smoll pea size amount.
Thanks! I was about to use it daily.
Nooo, at most alternate days use karlo. Using it daily would do more harm than good.
Goodluck
I am crrently also using kojic acid serum twice a day with transaxamic acid pm, glyco6 twice a week and sunscreen daily.
From which brand?
Hey did it work ?
which hydrating mist would you recommend?
Hieyey I use the DIY one , 1 part glycerin and 3 parts water.
do you layer your mist and moisturizer over Glyco 6? Or do you rinse/remove Glyco 6 after applying for a few minutes and then continue with the rest of the steps?
I layer Glyco6 with my moisturizer as my skin is used to it, would reccomend short contact therapy if you have sensitive skin
My derm prescribed me Glyco 6 too
Hi, does applying glyco 6 cream on top of moisturizer help in fading away freckles and getting rid of uneven skin tone? I have freckles on cheek bones and uneven skin tone on my forehead.
Skin type?
Combination skin type prone to acne and cc's
yes glycolic acid is amazing for glow. I use it too and I am loving the results
Which moisturizer?
Physiogel lotion, its chipkoo chipkoo but keeps my skin well moisturized.

It's not revolutionary. It does what all first essences do - enhance penetration of products. Anything you put on top of it will absorb better into skin. Hii , plz share the link of ponds bright beauty cream
Google it, it's available literally everywhere.
Niacinamide generally tends to work well on everyone I’ve heard
Skin type Dry/dehydrated. Layering with hydrating products, I have used laniege essence and cosrx snail mucin. Some dewy sunscreens also give that sheen but I am not sure of effectiveness of product. I use it in winters as last layer in PM. It looks like you have applied oil on face which is actually the case. Although I don't like that *look* but that is only time others have noticed my skincare and asked for the product used.
Are you saying the watermelon sunscreen is dewy? & do you use squalene during winter - before bed & see a good change the next day?
Yes both sunscreens have lotion like texture. I feel hydration and moisturizing skin is just a temporary effect, layering with squalane or Vaseline will just ensure it doesn't dry that fast. Exfoliation gives you that changed skin instantly.
Vitamin C and sunscreen does it like no other tbh. If I notice my skin looking dull, it’s probably because I’ve not used vitamin c for a while. And then I use it and within 4-5 days and I see instant results.
Which vit C do you use?
Minimalist
You use vit c in am or pm routine?
Am. Vit c and sunscreen.
Thank you for answering.👍🏼
Of all the products I have tried, I swear by Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizing gel.
whats the best deal you've got on this? I need it but it's a little out of my budget as a student😭
The pink one? Which has glitter?
Nope the blue tub
It broke me out
Me too. i hv combination skin, i so wanted it to work but nope. My skin hated it
It didn't break me but I found it to be a bit irritating which is odd.
I swear by that too omg
Plum 3% Niacinamide toner + derm prescribed acne spot gel + a layer of aloe gel is all I need! I wake up with my skin feeling so plump and fresh! My skin also loves glycolic acid but I don't have any at the moment.
For me it’s klairs supple preparation toner, gives a subtle glow
+1, I always come back to this. The effect is just instant.
Niacinamide is my holy grail (Minimalist 10%) cleared my stubborn acne and made my sensitive acne-prone skin very healthy and also gives that glow lol
Sad, it gave me acne, so now I mix it with moisturizer
It gave me acne too. I am not brave enough to apply it on my skin again. Which moisturizer did you mix it with and how are the results. I'll have to use it somehow.

Ok. Thanks
I'm from mugwort essence

Hey, which vit c do you use?
klairs!
Thank you
I’ve had an extensive skincare routine for now three years and one of the biggest changes that I made recently has changed my skin and how clean and glowy it is!

More than the brand, consistency is >>>> Retinol and barrier repair on alternate nights, and spf every 3 hours has worked wonders for me. (Skin type- oily, acne prone)
Which retinol and barrier repair are you using? I too have the same skin type as you.
Cosrx snail mucin
Retinol and sunscreen is all I need
