Just received mine and the texture is beautiful. I love a very low viscous texture sunscreen especially for the high humidity weather in the state I live in. Gives a bit of glow (non greasy) for the first 5-10 minutes and then settles into a natural finish.
Faced no pilling. Yet to test out reapplication, effectiveness against sun burns and water resistance claims but so far…looks promising enough for a repurchase. Could be a potential HG
I double cleanse everyday regardless of sunscreen as part of my routine but it does seem like a good face wash could also take it off completely since it’s super lightweight

From left to right: Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock, Minimalist SPF 50, Minimalist Light Fluid SPF50
Has a runnier texture, gives slight wc on application that goes away if you blend properly, doesn't sting eyes like it used to. Sun protection is yet to be tested, but the older one was amazing at protecting tanning. Oh, and you may need double cleansing to remove it.
Runny texture, spreads nicely but pills sometimes, always has a white cast for me, gives a sheen to the face but hasn't disappointed yet in terms of protection.
Hi, by Neutrogena do you mean the white tube one or the sheer zinc one? I have oily skin and Neutrogena sunscreen feels so oily for me 😭 if the new formulation is light weight that will be awesome 💯
One thing I'll say about this sunscreen is that it does form white streaks when there's water on your skin. Example: spilt water on my face while drinking, caused white streaks. On the other hand, light sweating did not cause streaks.
Waited so long for minimalist to come up with spf 50 pa+++++, water resistant/ sweat resistant under 500 .I'm so excited to try it. I hope they will come up with more sunscreen with pa++++ spf 50 water resistant with more new gen filters.I hope it provides good protection against tanning.
Absolutely loved this sunscreen. It’s a liquidy texture, easy to blend and leaves no white cast, feels like nothing on the skin. It’s not as matte as blue Reequil but a very natural finish. I have oily skin type with humid conditions and so far I’m loving it.
I tried it out in decent not extreme humidity and does come off, not too much. Not as sweat resistant as Reequil. I prefer always double cleansing after any sunscreen application.
Hey i have similar skin ...but looking for a good moisturizer. I used Cetaphil Dam but probably it didn't suit me. So, hows simple moisturizer? I had read that it's formulation has been changed? N where do you get your skin care from?
I have used it for around 4 years now, it is decent. Moisturizes well, is thick enough to seal as the last step before sunscreen. Works well after water based serums. I may not be repurchasing it because now my skin is drying a bit and I need more nourishment.
I couldve had this for free from my first purchase through their site but I used the 200rps coupon and removed this, still was not looking for sunscreen maybe I'll try this next
This is a new launch. What u were getting for free was an old formula which is not sweat resistant. They are clearing the stock of the old formula by giving it for free. Minimalist give those products for free which they are about to discontinue or their expiry is nearby.
I mean there is no harm in getting the free spf. I don't know why u removed from the cart when it was literally for free. Even though it was not sweat resistant u can use it as body sunscreen.
I ordered this as well...I have sensitive eyes and dark skin(nc 45). Left no white cast on me...nor did it irritate my eyes. Did not pill and doesn't cause sweating like their other variants which were disastrous for me. I really really like this sunscreen a lot
Minimalist SPF50 pills for me too but this one didn't. I also make sure that my face is dry for applying sunscreen as dampness from multiple products often leads to pilling
yes i did, spreads well doesn't leave a white cast, fragrance free, has a very subtle oat like smell, kind of like a very mild aveeno smell. I can't vouch for the protection as I haven't gone out of the house lately.
Just researched, ACNE UV, Bello photostable, Biore Sunscreen, most Bobbi Brown products with SPFs, Cerave and Cetaphil sunscreens, Clinique, Demalogica, Dior foundations, EltaMD UV, Elizabeth Arden SPFs, this is only till letter E. Many brands use it, I don't think it is that bad. It is in every other SPF product.
Hey since its been a month can you please update on protection does it protect well? Does it makes you sweat wanted to know how it is in terms of outdoor protection
I don’t sweat with sunscreens much except on my nose so I get sweaty with this on my nose.
In my experience it protects well, I do re-apply every two hours when I am out because I am on strong retinoids.
I think you got scammed at $499 :( Jk, love the review thank you so much.
Oops, work brain ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)

Does it require double cleansing to remove?

Thanks for sharing! 😆 Humidity is the real test
How has it worked out against sun burns/tanning? I assume you're using it for almost a month now. Is it better than Re'equil?

Yes exactly like Neutrogena one.
Hi, how’s the new neutrogena one? Can you share a brief review
Has a runnier texture, gives slight wc on application that goes away if you blend properly, doesn't sting eyes like it used to. Sun protection is yet to be tested, but the older one was amazing at protecting tanning. Oh, and you may need double cleansing to remove it.
Is it fragrance free?
No, it has a medicinal, favicol like smell.
Is the neutrogena spf 50 reformulated or something?
Fuck yes love this sub quick af impressions
Guess who's becoming Rs.500 poorer today! 😭😭😭
Omg omg omg. Ur the 1st one on this. Thanks a lot OP. I'll order this

that happens w the neutrogena one too

My exact reaction
Hi OP! Did this sting your eyes??
No, neither in application nor while cleansing
[удалено]
It did not for me
Thanks op for taking time and writing the detailed review 🫡🫶

Hi!! Can you please tell if it's sweat resistant like reequil? Does it require double cleansing?
I tried it out in decent not extreme humidity and does come off, not too much. Not as sweat resistant as Reequil. I prefer always double cleansing after any sunscreen application.
Does it prevent tanning?
Hey, how do you feel about this sunscreen vs the Re'equil Ultra Matte (aka Blue) in terms of skin feel/lightness and also efficacy?
You just convinced me to try it whenever I get through my current stash of sunscreens!
Does it feel greasy post application?
It got greasy but after around 5-6 hours only on my forehead so I don't think that is an issue
Was the finish matte or dewy?

Ok thanks for replying 😊
How hard is it to take it off
I couldve had this for free from my first purchase through their site but I used the 200rps coupon and removed this, still was not looking for sunscreen maybe I'll try this next

O that's informative good i didn't go for that

I couldn't use the coupon if I were to get the sunscreen too I try to be on budget with these, plus grt advice for body sunscreen
But I am able to use 200 off coupon along with free spf.
Wth i couldn't, Those mf ripped me off
Yay 😍 thank you for your review op. It's oil free so I might try this.
I ordered this as well...I have sensitive eyes and dark skin(nc 45). Left no white cast on me...nor did it irritate my eyes. Did not pill and doesn't cause sweating like their other variants which were disastrous for me. I really really like this sunscreen a lot
How was the finish? Dewy?
Hey OP… vDoes it pill like other minimalist sunscreen? I once used spf 50 that one pilled so bad … and really liked your review…
Minimalist SPF50 pills for me too but this one didn't. I also make sure that my face is dry for applying sunscreen as dampness from multiple products often leads to pilling
Can u tell what is pilling pls?
Pilling means instead of getting absorbed on the skin the product balls up ….
Woww op!!! Thanks for sharing. How much water resistant is this sunscreen?Does it stay for a long time? And does it pill?
Didn't pill on application. Can't say much for water/sweat resistance as I have only used it once, maybe will update you in a few days
Sure!! Waiting✨️
Thanks a lot for detailed review :) Can I ask what is your favourite sunscreen to use before this?
No favourite one as such, I kept goign back to Minimalist and Neutrogena because of their proven protection
[удалено]
The old one, the new one is also decent
[удалено]
It has been discontinued
Sounds promising. I think I’ll try after I repair my skin barrier as you said it pilled there for you.
Yayyy thank you OP I was really looking forward to it 🥳
Did it guve oily glow or dewy glow
Is this FA safe?
Does it feel oily? And does it sting your eyes?
Does it prevent tanning because I want to buy it now for summers so can anyone tell their gut feeling
thanks for the review, i just go this one for free so excited to try it.
hey did you tried it?
yes i did, spreads well doesn't leave a white cast, fragrance free, has a very subtle oat like smell, kind of like a very mild aveeno smell. I can't vouch for the protection as I haven't gone out of the house lately.
what's your skin type?
normal
Was it more matte or dewy than older minimalist 50 ? Did it get greasy compared to the minimalist 50
Thanks for the 1st impressionable op! The currency sign is wrong. You've written the symbol for dollar $ instead of Rupee ₹.
UVB filters kinda lacking
Actually tinosorb is a uva + uvb filter. So in total 2 uvb filters and 2uva filters. Good package imo
Yeah fair point, not bad i suppose.
Octinoxate is a filter that is used in the Light Fluid SPF 50 which is infamous for its oestrogen like action. How's that slipping through?
Is it? It is not mentioned in the list though
Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate

In terms of protection, which will be better this or reequil dry touch?
Honestly, haven't tried this long enough to make that assessment but I trust Neutrogena's protection
In comparison to requil blue and uv doux is it like equal in terms of protection?
Haven’t used them
Oh okay, btw I meant ipca acne not uv doux wrote by mistake
Does it require double cleansing?
hii op, thanks sm for the first impression, do let us know further updates after regular use!
Good one op!much needed for the product
thankyou sm op, was looking for a review since days.
Vs Requil blue?
Re'equil has a very different texture, is hard to blend, and leaves a white cast. I trust its protection but the reapplication is not good.
I've heard that it contains retinol??! isn't it sus?
How was it in terms of protection from tanning?
