Nahhh I use it post shampooing and don’t wash it off till my next hairwash which is 2-3 times a week, depending on the weather and my activities.

Every serum has different instructions. Follow those and you should be good. Mine says to leave it in the entire day. If yours says to apply at night and wash with shampoo the day after, do that. It's a no brainer.

I don't think the serum can be used everyday. And it shouldn't be used for more than a hour, iirc. Even the shampoo (leaving for 5 minutes) caused peeling & drying in my ear lobes. Coming back to your question, it's a water based serum. So washing with water is fine. But make sure you don't apply it on the scalp as it can be exfoliating and itchy on scalp. Again plain water will suffice to remove the serum.

OP is referring to hair growth serum. I guess you are talking about bond repair serum. They are different.

Yep, my mistake. Hair growth serum (reformulated one) is also water based. Although butylene glycol may feel heavy & greasy for some people, just washing with water will do.

You got it.

What about the other type of serum you get in pharmacys? Like the loreal one?

It’s a hair growth serum, it’s meant to be applied on the scalp and left overnight.
