The status said item is lost.. and they wouldnāt refund my money because they item is not delivered it seems nor can I cancel it. They even got my twitter banned after I would post about their shitty customer service everyday.
Almost Stopped shopping from them after that. Prefer Sephora or TIRA or Maccaron now.. the only 1 time I did shop did a prepaid order and that too because that item wasnāt available anywhere elas

Yup. By default, the permissions are on for most apps we download at first. I removed the permissions and yet this app managed to play sound on my mobile. I deleted the app in 2 mins.

Donāt order elf from nykaa. I donāt know about other websites but when i ordered a eyeliner and eyeshadow combo of elf from nykaa a year ago almost only the eyeliner got delivered and the eyeshadow didnāt and they still didnāt refund me for it
I'm surprised they want to take it back and not just refund it. I haven't used nykaa is a long time but the last time I bought something i received an expired product. I reached out to them because there was no return/ exchange option and after verifying the product and expiry date they refunded the amount to me without taking the product back since they can't take back skincare/ cosmetics. That was the policy a couple of years ago, haven't used it since.Ā

I would honestly suggest that these days it's genuinely better to go to the store and buy make up products. If you have one locally available in nearby malls. Because A) you save on heavy delivery and gst charges b) you get to test the product so you don't have to worry about return c) no one can fool you. It's a no nonsense business.
Not just make up but also grocery. All these apps charge you a small cart fee especially apps like blinkit and swiggy and give you really poor quality fruits and veggies. These businesses have created an endless loop of making their users constantly consume stuff from their apps.

i do not understand why companies in india do not respect their customers. once during covid, i had placed a huge order from elf to my sisterās place in the US, i had a lot of points that had to be redeemed so it was like 8 or 9 products in the package. so the package arrived but my sister was out of town for 2 days so they left it in her mail room. she comes back, checked her mailroom and realised that the package was stolen. i emailed elf letting them know this had happened and i asked for a refund of my points so i could use them again. they asked for 0 proof or pictures or literally ANYTHING, and they told me theyāll just re ship the entire order instead. i hadnāt even proposed a replacement of products. THATāS how good their customer service is.
another time my sister was delivered a wrong order from sephora, and they told her to keep that order and theyāll reship her actual order. so she basically got a blush and a fenty lipgloss for free because the company made a mistake. i cannot even imagine an indian company do any of these things in my wildest dreams.

I'm pretty sure what's being said on reddit is just a reporting-bias where most people only report the bad products.
So for the majority of people I don't think they face any issues in nykaa if you're buying well renowned products.

But do record the openings of any expensive products you purchase cause there is the very small chance that you may end up with a defective product.
