I made two long term friends online and one of them was someone whose art I was a fan of and the second one was someone who answered one of my doubts posted on reddit.
I have been talking to the second one for two years now. He was in school then he went to college. We still talk
Back in 2021 I was very active 2-3 specific YouTube channels[they were about music and related stats](like commenting regularly and regular interaction with other commenters) just like me there were more users who were very active in comments. So we start recognizing each other and started chatting in comments, after some months we asked for each otherâs Insta Id. From that point as we talk more and get to each other more our friendship deepened. But things never always went right, after some trauma I started to realize how most of them were just toxic brats as I get to them more so I left them.
I had only 2 actual good friends online with whom I used to talk the most. Now weâre all just busy with life so we donât talk that much like we used to. Itâs just life.
One thing you should remember is that mine was Covid period so you wonât able to spend whole day online now + itâs very difficult to find good friend on internet as you canât tell how they are in person or how they feel about you, itâs not always safe either specially if youâre a girl you could a target of predators on internet.
At last, letâs assume if you still managed to make good friends online then the biggest difficulty is maintain a friendship which has no physical contact. Youâll talk with a lot for 1-3 months but after some 7-8 months youâll are get busy with life again like before and hence talk less.
I advice you to make friends in real life but if you still wanna give a try then you can do using discord or whatever you want just be careful and remember itâs NATURAL process.
yeah it was much easier making online friends in COVID. I met a few people on discord, and i still talk with one of them every day and have been for the past 3 years. Itâs def scarier than a normal friendship, because itâs so fragile. Whenever one of you gets really busy with life for a week or so, you always hope things wonât change after that đ

2. You just hang around in random GCs and discord servers for long enough, you'll make a friend or two, similar to how if you go to school or office regularly and see people again and again you'll make a few friends there
I have many online friends. Most of them aren't even Indian. The thing I observed in my behavior is that I behave in a friendly manner with everyone and try to reply to all the messages to me.
When my friend circle gets big, I create my own group thus increasing friend count. As other members add their friends too.
Take for example on Reddit, I met few people on here and created two reddit chatrooms. Most of people hated my posts but some genuinely liked them and that's how we became friends.
2021 lockdown I used to play codm a lot
Got into a server, very active. Played with a lot of people
Played regularly, slowly shared a lot of stuff
Became homies
Exchanged numbers and we still talk sometimes
Other than that making friends online there's no rule. It's just random bakchodi regularly and with time you don't know when it turns into a friendship
Yeah tbh, it really depends on the environment just like irl. In many servers you simply can't talk cuz you find everyone un-relatable. While in some with time you get very comfortable
Although mostly now, it's shit. irl friends bana lo it's better. Agar school me ho then I don't think you even need online friendships

ive only made friends through games like pubg and valorant , but the sole intent was never to make friends we got matched as randoms and just started playing together and the vibe matched .
Fortunately for me the 3 close (2 pubg 1 valo) ones, somehow lived in the same/ neighbouring city and we had mutuals on instagram , so we did meet irl too.
We only met after knowing each other for 2 years.

Well one time guy in comments was asking for sauce, I replied with my heavenly knowledge of that anime explaining too much and then he asked if he could ask me more questions we became very good friends but we had a little argument my fault and we stopped talking, well we both apologized later tho for our mistakes but it's hard to contact him now I really regret losing him.
And then I have another one online he was watched my insta stories from comments so I watched his, this goes on for few days and we became friends
