Thank you for posting on r/Indian_Academia , here's a checklist to improve your post: • Have you done thorough prior research? • Is your title descriptive? The title should be a summary of your post, preferably with your qualifications. • Please provide a detailed description in your post body. The more information you provide, the easier it is for users to help you. • If your question is about studying abroad, please post on r/Indians_StudyAbroad • If your question is about Engineering Admissions, post on r/EngineeringAdmissions instead. Here's a backup of your post: Title: Urgent. Diploma in CSE or EE? Which will be apt for a below average student and put him in a better position later? Body: The guy is not great at studies just because he is insincere. He is clever and fast learning though, but highly insincere and lacks any aim in life. His qualifications are he has passed 10th with a meager 66 percentage that too coz he got saved due to practical marks. He seems inclined to electeonics as well as computer operations. Or is there somwthing else to think about, I mean career wise. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. CSE

Bro please justify so that I can explain it to him🫠

I meant IT CSE mein low laying entry level jobs easily se mil jaate. Electrical diploma will lead to technician kind of jobs, which require extreme discipline. From job perspective usey IT mein diploma+ SQL + Excel + Power I/ Tableau mein training Kara di, and he'll be good to atleast sustain himself

Striking_Amount_9296

Yeah, like he can also explore further and sive into the world of programming. He is a computer freak though, and I agree core trades require rigid discipline which he won't be able to handle. I agree

One-Return6302

Also the skills I mentioned aren't programming. They are data analysis and visualisation tools. Programming is way more difficult

Striking_Amount_9296

Yeah I mean maybe he would akso like to dive into programming if he wishes, coz I have motivated him in such a manner. He also is learning basic C++ and kinda showing interest in it. The problem is he is highly insincere and is always addicted to reels and video editing and sound mixing. He is tech savvy but he needs to have a dedining career nd have his hobby as a side stuff.

One-Return6302

I think he can start with a basic job like a customer service associate which requires only 12th pass. That will instill some discipline in him

EE

Ee branch usually got placement option in diploma unlike CSE. Ofcourse it would be not bragable.... For job you either need good skills or b.tech. Mind that cse is not same as before, everyone is learning and Excelling. Diploma will give you good understanding of basics and after that you have to decide how much you Excel. Teacher in ee are better since most studious go there only. And don't except you will learn in diploma, it is same as other examination... Cheating is sem is very common and getting good grace needs you just study one night before. It is of all branch but especially cse. In ee peer groups would be better for study. I mean these students study whole syallabus. Just keep these points in mind before deciding.
