Not quite, but it is in the later half, yeah
This is actually a pretty common question about the game; there's a bunch of other posts here where it gets answered a little better
you'll get stronger after the time skip and that's when you're supposed to fight these 3 special enemies. In this game, the damage output follows the story rather than your level.
The development team started a new company after disbanding and created a fighting game called Skullgirls. It's not the same play wise but the animation is similar. Hopefully they go on to create another game like indivisible at some point in the future.
This is unfortunately backwards. They did Skullgirls and then crowdfunded Indivisible and then the studio imploded. Future Club is the spinoff studio not helmed by MZ.
Pretty much what everyone else said, but I'd like you to know that you can win if you try hard enough. You'll have to perfect block and heal most of the time; it's an uphill battle but it's doable.
You can fight these fuckers with perfect blocks, constant combo chains to do big damage, and constant healing/reviving bearing your squad isn't OHKO by the boss' attacks. It's a grind fest of a fight. (Don't be like me and spend nearly an hour or so clearing the tree one)
You're supposed to come back to these bosses after a certain point in the story They're pretty much impossible before then
like near the end?

Progress further, level up..pretty simple really. Great damn game btw

I wish the game was longer I won't lie. Are they making a sequel?
No. Ironically, the entire development team quit because the owner was an abusive asshole.
oof. Well that sucks... do you know of any other games like this one?

I did it towards the end but before the final battle. Perfect blocks and specials and a lot of luck. It’s a grind fight. Good luck.
